Just an update - the owner did reach out in a clear attempt to make the claim that they respond. But their response was blaming installation and not helpful. In fact, it was an aggressive response. All of this is behind me and fine for me personally. I just want to make it so clear to future consumers, be careful. I ignored prior warning posts thinking that these issues will not concern me. This current post comes from someone who is truly just trying to prevent this from happening to someone again. Yes, the doors are nice in the store. But the product you get is not the same. And as soon as the product leaves the lot, the company is happy to wash their hands of you. The follow through is poor and the company leaves a lot to be desired. I would highly recommend Pinky's Iron Doors for your home! I was worried at first, because no one locally had used them before. I found them through many of the HGTV shows that I watch. They are used by many of the designers. The doors are absolutely amazing! The quality is excellent and the pricing is equally excellent! The quotes I received locally were 3 to 4 times what we were quoted from Pinky's. We had to order several doors for our new construction home and the design team was amazing and very patient due to our many changes. They were very helpful and worked with our architect to get the exact measurements that we needed. I was worried about possible condensation with the exterior glass doors, but due to the thermal break of the doors, we didn't have any issues this winter at all! I have three steel doors, one double entry and two matching doors for the backyard exits. They are exquisite. We put them in while we were building our house and have had them about 9 months. Now that the house is finished, it has settled slightly and one of the doors was a little out of plumb. I contacted Pinky's to see if they had a solution and they did. We followed your installation instructions and had a certified installer install the doors the first time. He came back out and found that the passsage door was 3/16" of an inch to big. He was able to make some adjustments to make it work. The 12" level was still at the level point. I know **** happens with everything but in this case you guys were wrong and the problem has been fixed. The doors look great. Purchased new home here in Apple Valley CA around 5/03/2022. Our first rain storm for 2022 in November and December. Because the manufacturer failed to water test the seals around the window glass before shipping cause water to enter our living room floors. 4000.00 doors wow. We are remodeling a 50's ranch-style house and wanted to update the doors with steel and glass doors. We were quoted $6,000 + tax for a standard-size door which was outside our budget. We found Pinky's through a Google search and with shipping the price was more than 50% less. Our contractor recommended we just order one door to check the quality before we fully committed to buying doors for the rest of the house. We were so pleased with the quality when the door arrived that we bought the others! We saved thousands of dollars!!!!!!!!! The customer service is above and beyond. About 2 hours after I placed the second order I got a phone call from Pinky's telling me I had not ordered a deadbolt for one of the doors and wondering if I had meant to do that. We love our Pinky's doors and get nothing but compliments on them. I would say the only hiccups were these: The owner Dion quoted us one price, and then our salesperson gave us a second higher price for our final quote. However... the door is beautiful and we love it. It is still a good value and it is perfectly balanced. We found a local installer who has installed a few Pinky's doors and it all went smoothly, despite the shipper damaging the door. We found a local vendor to repair the scratch and it looks perfect. Pinky's quickly shipped us the matching paint and voila! We have done enough remodeling to know that these things happen and as long as things look and work great in the end we are happy campers. These doors weigh a LOT - 400lbs per side, so 800lbs total. It's important to get pros to manufacture and install them. I would definitely use Pinky's again, and if you are in the Portland, Oregon area, use The Door Works to install. read more

Let me start by saying that I love the door. However, upon installation, the drop bolt that keeps one door from opening did not work correctly. Pinkys sent me a new part, but it didn't fix the issue. The only other option that is offered, even for a brand new door, is to remove the door and take it back to them. As you can imagine, removing your front door and driving it back to their depot is not a viable option for most people. I had to get a door installer to come out and fix my brand new door. The response from Pinkys was, 'sorry for your inconvenience'. I think this policy should change. You should FaceTime with the person, allow them to show you the issue, and then come and fix it, if it's something that you are reponsible for. read more

When I came across Pinky's and browsed their catalog, they have really nice doors, but I was a bit put off over the expensive shipping cost ($400 or so). But I looked around locally and found that even after shipping, Pinky's was still significantly less than what I could find in the Bay Area. So I bit the bullet and went ahead with a 36"x81" Paris iron door with frosted glass, and waited the 3 or so months for the fabrication. The delivery was probably the worst part - the packaging of the door was quite well done.. but the truck only had one person, so it required me to help take it out of the crate and carry it out - and it was really heavy, at least the delivery guy had a forklift and a liftgate that barely fit the door on it. Once it was put it down into the garage, and I opened the boxes a little bit, and the door seemed to be really nicely made. And once I got my contractors to install it, it looked beautiful! In fact it made everything at the front of my old house look old, so I ended up remodeling the front as well. For the front, we had the house repainted, stone veneer at the front, front windows replaced, the porch tiled, and pillars. My wife and I love it. I would definitely recommend this place to get iron doors. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Contacted their customer support to inquire about a "rain" glass that loudly exploded in the middle of the night, waking up the family. This window failure was due to what, I believe, manufacturing error. I reach pinky because they were the company who sold me the door. It was odd when the customer service rep did not know the "rain" glass and needed for me to e-mail the sample, so they can perhaps address my question? This is sad because this company has been carrying this particular glass for many years. I later contacted DION. Over the phone, he told me that this "rain" glass was available in many locations. To this moment, I have not been able to find it. He then was dismissive and told me that glass does not expand several times? He was condescending numerous times and refer to google searches? Furthermore, he later told me very arrogantly and loudly that he has a glassing license, c-19. And not to tell him about glass because he knows glass, etc. He asked me why I contacted him? He then told me to not tell him about his sales team. I lost the signal on my cell and decided not to contact him again. Sadly, his behavior is very unprofessional and disrespectful to customers who purchase a six thousand dollar door. I was not able to locate his c-19 glassing license under the: https://www.cslb.ca.gov/about_us/library/licensing_classifications Lastly, Glass does expand and sometimes breaks because of it.
