We just finished having our new Pinky's Iron Front Double Doors installed and we a thrilled with the results. The quality of the doors can't be beat and the price was very affordable. At first I was a little hesitate to ordering out of state but the staff made the process so simple and the doors arrived soon after they were shipped. The packaging was incredible, even the truck driver who delivered the doors was surprised with how well they were packaged. We could have purchased doors locally as there are several companies that made Iron doors but I was impressed with the quality of workmanship and price that made ordering from Pinky's a no brainer! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Contacted their customer support to inquire about a "rain" glass that loudly exploded in the middle of the night, waking up the family. This window failure was due to what, I believe, manufacturing error. I reach pinky because they were the company who sold me the door. It was odd when the customer service rep did not know the "rain" glass and needed for me to e-mail the sample, so they can perhaps address my question? This is sad because this company has been carrying this particular glass for many years. I later contacted DION. Over the phone, he told me that this "rain" glass was available in many locations. To this moment, I have not been able to find it. He then was dismissive and told me that glass does not expand several times? He was condescending numerous times and refer to google searches? Furthermore, he later told me very arrogantly and loudly that he has a glassing license, c-19. And not to tell him about glass because he knows glass, etc. He asked me why I contacted him? He then told me to not tell him about his sales team. I lost the signal on my cell and decided not to contact him again. Sadly, his behavior is very unprofessional and disrespectful to customers who purchase a six thousand dollar door. I was not able to locate his c-19 glassing license under the: https://www.cslb.ca.gov/about_us/library/licensing_classifications Lastly, Glass does expand and sometimes breaks because of it. This is the Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics. read more

Pinky's Survival Guide: (2 Stars) The product is beautiful. We really enjoy the atmosphere created by these french doors. Wonderful addition to our redesigned kitchen. (-1 Star) Pinky's suggests that it's easy to install their doors yourself. They offer a video on their website. After speaking with a door professional, this is a clever way for Pinky's to be a retail company versus hiring contractors. If you watch the tutorial video -- it's not that easy for an average citizen to put it together. Also just to further assist you, Pinky's does not sell hardware with their doors! So you have to also order this hardware (screws, locks, handled) separately, which costed us an additional $600). (-2 Stars) Horrible Return Policy. Be sure to get a professional to measure before ordering. If you get it wrong, they will ask for a stocking fee (25% of the door price, which for us was over 1,000 dollars). Plus, at least 800 dollars for shipping it back. Customer service also declined any coverage for any exchanges. They also said it's just best to resell the door yourself, but get this -- who's going to buy a customizable door for thousands of dollars near you? An exciting project became quite a financial burden, but my partner and I found a way to make it work despite the financial pitfall only because we had additional money to do so. Be cautious before ordering. Beautiful product, but a dangerous/unforgiving company to screw up any details with. A rose with thorns. read more

I have been planning to buy a particular door for a few months. I finally decided to take the plunge and the system said error upon process. I called Pinky's and asked if I could complete my order over the phone and was rudely told no and it must be my credit card or that I did not enter my address correctly. I called my bank and there was no rejected charge, checked my address and it was fine. Tried again, nada. Called back and once again was rudely told I am out of luck. Well guess what, I got a nicer custom iron door for $600 less than what Pinky's was offering. Maybe you should be nicer to people on the phone. read more

Wow, a company is still out there that not only gets customer service but possesses excellent customer service! All the great reviews here were true! what an easy to use website, I filled out my form with questions for a custom entry door and I received an email response from both an auto response and from Michael Gershman within the hour. I called Michael and he was extremely knowledgeable, reviewed my images, and gave me great key points to consider. I filled the shopping cart, ordered my door and all done with ease! Amazing experience, I will highly recommend Pinky's to all my friends. Thank You for the great experience! read more

I have to recommend Arash (Pinky's) and David Esparza (installer). I ordered our doors with a Baldwin Keyless entry lock already in hand. The blue prints came in and I approved them figuring that the person who designed the door took that into consideration. Well the doors came in with the wrong glass and no way to put a keyless entry on in. David Esparza installed the door hoping that a solution could be found. David and his team were extremely professional and a delight to work with. Well, the doors were just not right. Arash was incredibly helpful and he could not find a keyless entry that would work on the doors. He finally allowed us to order new doors with the correct design and windows that we had ordered in the first place. It took 5 months waiting, but lo and behold we got notification the doors or in on last Saturday. I called David Esparza and he picked up the doors and got them installed on Wednesday. David is a fantastic installer. From the beginning I had told David and Arash there have been many neighbors asking where we got our doors, but because of the big mishap, I would not give there names out. The day David Esparza installed the correct door, he was already measuring a neighbors house to put in an order for doors. Although there were mistakes made on ordering our beautiful Iron door, Everyone at Pinky's and David Esparza did their best to make the situation right. If I had to do it all over again, Pinky's and David Esparza is where I would turn to. Good work ethics and customer satisfaction goes a long way. Now more people in my neighborhood will hear about Pinky's and have the chance to get beautiful iron doors that are made to perfection. Thank you Pinky's and a big THANK YOU to DAVID ESPARZA for his diligent work for the installation. Get his number from Pinky's! read more

They just sell you the door and they are done with you,as per their installer Rocky is the worst and he won't come back to your home to fix a problem. I will never use them again read more

When your contractor tells you the door you bought is too big, you freak out for 5 seconds until he assures you it is a fixable error. Issac and Gustavo had to cut our doorframe larger and reframe the doorway. They worked non-stop for six hours to complete the job. Their knowledge and experience of the installation process of this 350lb door, was very apparent as they worked very hard to make sure the door was installed correctly and precisely. Words can not express how thankful and grateful we are that Isaac and Gustavo were our installers. We are more than satisfied and happy with our new door. read more

The doors were of good quality. Delivered within the quoted time. I spoke with them in person to get help building our dream doors. They sent me a draft with exactly what I needed. I verified with the builder who mentioned we needed a slightly different size to match the current plans. So I selected the same door we were quoted online and we adjusted the size. Black was the default color selected which was exactly what we wanted. When I placed the order, I sent the order confirmation to the rep I was dealing with to ensure what I ordered was what we had spoke about, minus the dimension change. The confirmation that came through was a typical generic email that order was placed and an order number. But nothing in regards to price or what I ordered. Apparently the other email went to spam which showed bronze as the color ordered. Even though the handle was correct in black. One would think this discrepancy would trigger someone to verify there wasn't an issue from one to the other. Bronze door, black handle, when bronze was also listed in the handles as well. I don't understand how the mix up happened, I do see where I could have caught it after they sent the email showing the bronze. However you would think for a 20k order there would be a customer service follow up walking through verifying the purchase. Thinking this you would be wrong. So I am stuck with a 20k door that also is a nice door I will have to have painted. I do not recommend using them, if you do hope you have no issues, as they will do nothing to remedy it. read more

My wife and I love our new front door. Sweet upgrade well worth the money. The only criticism I have is that the first door was not ordered correctly, and we had to do a "do over". So the entire time it took was about 9 months. It was definitely worth the wait and just a small little snafu. Make sure the measurements are right people! Love the quality of the door, the engineering is well done and the materials are top notch. My installer, Adrian was 110% about customer service. Installed my door super fast and was very neat. They even arrived on time as promised. If you have any questions on the door and my experience feel free to send me a message through yelp. Hope this helps. read more

Everything about Pinky's was 5 star. From the excellent customer service person who answered our calls and questions to the ordering process to the guidance to the beautiful door that was delivered to our home on time and without any issues. The thermally broken door they suggested for northeast weather is spectacular looking and we can't wait to find another reason to buy another door or window from Pinky's. Highly recommend. read more

We found Pinky's on Yelp by happenstance when we were priced out of finding a solid wood door in the look that we wanted and was looking for alternatives. My preconception of iron doors before Pinky's were those security iron doors that are on the outside of a regular door, and that was definitely not what we wanted. Pinky's website has a wide selection of iron doors, and a few modern options all priced less than half of what we were quoted on a solid wood/fiberglass door, so I made a call to find out more. Turns out that if you can't find exactly what you are looking for in terms of design for your door, Pinkys will custom design a door for you for not that much more! We visited their showroom to make sure that we liked the look and feel of an iron door before we got the process started. Ryan, at Pinky's, worked hard on the design to get exactly what we wanted for our door, and was more than patient with me going through many many many revisions on the door. It was well worth having Rocky from Extol come help us measure and fine tune the design of the door for our space, and finally installing the door. Rocky and his crew work really hard...came afterhours after a job to help us with the measurements. And on the day of the install, worked late into the night to get the beast of the door put in so that we'd have a new front door. Even though the demo/install turned out more difficult than anticipated, Rocky and his guys remained super pleasant and easygoing the whole time. They were conscientious and kept the work areas super clean. Bridget has been our goto post sales service rep and she's been super helpful as well, keeping us updated on the status of our door. The only snafu we ran into, was that we ordered a lockset on their website, but the finish of the lockset does not match the door at all - even though both finishes are called 'oil rubbed bronze'. Just know oil rubbed bronze can mean very different things to different manufacturers. Bridget and Ryan are currently trying to help us to see what can be done with our door handle. Still yet, Pinkys still warrants a five star review. I have to admit we had our reservations about a product that we didn't know much about...but we just love our new door! read more

This is the place. These are the people. Gorgeous selection. Endless options. Quick turn around. Awesome customer service. I did a ton of research which led me to find Pinky's on Yelp and Instagram. I spoke to many installers and fabricators before I spoke with Bridgett at Pinkey's. I was impressed by the professionalism and helpfulness over the phone and felt I had found our place for iron doors. After some calls we drove downtown to Pinky's showroom and met Dion. Immediately I realized I had done business in the past with the owner Dion (over 20 years ago). This solidified and underscored why I was getting such a great vibe from this business. I know Dion is an honest business man, hard working and hands on. I am super happy and excited to move forward with our project and I will be referring Pinky's to all of my friends and designers. I am convinced and reassured that there is not a better quality product or price for custom iron doors and windows. The selection is amazing as is the service and quality. We are looking forward to replacing all of our doors and windows! We will post photos as soon as our job is completed! Thank you Pinkey's! read more

I ordered a metal double door and picked up at their facility. Before I accepted the door, I asked for them to hang up the door for me to inspect before I took it home. Great product, great price and great overall experience. We were looking to replace our 1970s double front door. We remodeled our previous house before moving and did some nice home depo replacements. This included the front door with a nice etched glass window. However in our new house, we wanted to go a little higher end, since we're here to stay. This lead us to Pinkys. We came in a couple of times and went through all the doors in stock. Dion and Ryan made this easy and low pressure. We found a door that we had to have, but of course it was a custom piece not normally stocked, so we had to custom order it. We took measurements and placed the order. I was told it was going to take 12-16 weeks. However it only took 10 weeks. We used Pinky's recommended Installer, Rocky at Extol Construction. Basically, I wanted someone who wasn't going to be installing this type of door for the first time. In addition, their price was right inline with everyone else, so it was a no brainer. They picked up and delivered the door. They showed up on time, provided a very white glove type service and got the door installed. We had a few hitches pop up since we went with a larger arch style door, but as noted above, this wasn't their first install, so the issues were quickly dealt with and the door was installed. Tips: Make sure you measure the old door carefully, so you don't get the wrong size. In the alternative, have the installer come and do it for you. If you use Extol for the install, they will pick up the door. The door is very heavy, and it was worth the extra charge to avoid having to pick up the door. Acquire the door handle sets ahead of time. Door is installed, I'll update pics when it's all finished read more

I attempted to place an order with Pinky's. As per industry standard, I needed calcs for a new project build. Standard doors do not have calcs, which triggered a custom door order, for an additional 2k. I conceded on the 2k additional, but when I went to go and buy it, because it was "custom" they would no longer accept credit cards, when they accept credit cards on "standar" doors. I left not ordering the door, because of their backwards and non thoughtful thinking. Lost a customer. read more

The process is definitely not as hard as everyone thinks it is, as long as you go to the right place. I wish this was my first stop as it would have saved me a lot of time and money!! I started my iron door shopping in a shop at Sun Valley. I got the run around from them telling me their doors were made in Brazil when I know they were made in China. They had single pane glass on a hollow door! At Pinkys things are different here! I went into the LA showroom that had A LOT of selection and was greeted by Dion. He walked me through the show room which had at least 100 HUGE iron doors displayed. I could have done it all online or on the phone but I just loved touching these things before buying them. Different feel when you actually see what will be the face to your house! They do not do installations but recommended me to an installer named Rocky who came out and installed my door in just a few hours! So I got a quality iron door with dual pane low E glass for under my budget! It was truly great dealing with them and I will be sure I will be using them on my next home along with referring them to everyone I know. read more

I got a great deal on some of Pinky's cheaper (foreign made) iron doors about a year ago. I did not have the budget for their better American-made doors, but I am happy with what I got. They were totally helpful in every way. They carefully fork-lifted the door parts into my pickup truck (and a full sized pick up truck is barely big enough by the way). Drove the doors down to San Diego and managed to install them by myself. In hindsight, I suggest you get a friend to help, as these are heavy and may crush you to death before you get them properly secured with lag bolts, etc. The frame was very square (proper 90 degree angles all around), and well made. Doors lined up perfectly with the welded on hinges (take the heavy glass panels out, so the doors are lighter as you hang them). There was a little interference between the double doors, but I remedied that with a metal file. A little touch up with flat black spray paint, and you can't see my adjustment. There are large metal tabs drilled for lag bolts in the frame. They will require cutting some squares out of your drywall to get proper alignment and contact with the studs around your doorway opening. Later, I cased the door with 3 1/4" casing (molding). It looks great and totally covers the tabs and drywall cut outs. The doors take standard door hardware. Get a Schlage French door lockset with deadbolt etc, and you are set. If you get long handles, you might need to drill a 3/8 hole for the lower portion of the handle to attach properly. Antique bronze finish for your lock hardware matches nicely with these doors. Everybody who comes to our home comments on these doors. It's one of the best home improvements that I have ever made. Well worth the price and effort. read more

Most of the places we contacted informed us that we would have to special order the iron doors we wanted (14-16 weeks) or only had a few doors styles in stock and in one specific size. We went to pinky's online put in the door size we wanted (we wanted to go bigger and taller) and about 10-15 doors they had in stock ready for pickup came up in a variety of sizes. We even received an added military discount on the door we ordered! Pinky's prices were significantly less than what the other companies had quoted us for iron doors so it was a no brainer to go with them. We received the door 3 days later and it was beautiful! While unwrapping the door we found small scratches on the door from when it was packed at the factory. I contacted Arash at Pinky's and he promptly responded to my email. He gave us two options, bring back the door to get it repaired or we could touch it up ourselves with their custom touch up paint. We decided to do the touch up paint because my wife wanted the door installed ASAP. Arash rushed over the touch up paint via 1 day express and also included their special iron door cleaner free of charge. Arash, even sent us out a free matching door handle of our choice for the inconvenience. Pinky's customer service is second to none and their door quality is outstanding.
