They towed my vehicle to the auto body shop from the impound lot, it was stolen and recovered. The guy who towed it to the auto body shop did not secure the vehicle as he should have. The device that was to be placed on either side of the tires was not placed, the car was angled with nose in the air and the underneath was damaged because of this negligence. Called Pinky's to let them know that it was unacceptable, tires not secured as they should be, and that the driver told the auto body shop his truck was broke and acted as if he couldn't care. Made the mistake of telling them I would be notifying my insurance company and requesting they drop the contract, Pinky's did not offer anything except, "Ok thank you" and hung up. My car was stolen which is enough of a headache. But to have a driver do what this gentleman did and then the attitude of the lady wasn't needed. I have notified my insurance company and fingers crossed they do not use this company again. read more

Had to get my 454 SS truck moved, called pinky's since it was the closest tow company near me (Pearl City) but that did not matter as I was told. Anuhea assisted me to provide the tow. Since I did not want the rear tires to roll on the road. The appointment was made and the driver was scheduled to come out at that time. The driver ran into a little problem with another tow and Anuhea immediately called me to let me know that he would be running a little behind schedule. He did show up at the time they said after the delay and performed the towing without any issues. I would like to commend the service Pinky's provided. They showed up without being called to recover my stolen truck, which was awesome. Their service was friendly and polite. I checked under my hood and told the cop I was relieved the thieves didn't take my battery, or appear to touch anything under the hood. The driver was a little rough with my Tacoma, scratching up the undercarriage. But the truck had slashed tires, and was in a tough spot. When my truck made it to the mechanic shop after a couple days in Pinky's lot, it was missing the battery, alternator, and the serpentine belt was cut. There was grease on the driver seat, and they stole a sleeping bag out of the truck. It is possible that the mechanic shop removed the parts and not Pinky Tows, however, Pinky Tows did leave my vehicle it worse condition than they found it in, and one of their employees did take the sleeping bag. (Also, the original thieves were caught on camera, so that confirmed my memory that the battery, alternator, and serpentine belt were intact when the truck was towed by Pinky) Pinky Tows, you may have some thieves working for you. I called to get the specifics to get my car out. The female on the phone told me the cost, I said ok I'm coming. I get there, to the location that is on this yelp page, & on Google, only to find out they "just" moved. Pinkys should be telling customers they moved, not expect them to know. I get there, then find out the total is different from what that female told me. Mind you, I specifically went to the bank and withdrew what I needed. I was livid at this point. Ive used Pinky Tows a few times before and always found them great to work with. Tonite after a massive fail trying to get a hold of anything/one useful at my paid Allstate Roadside Service to get my daughter and her blown out tire- car on the side of a busy highway, I called Pinky Tows, got an estimate, paid online and the dispater (who cheerfully helped me) quickly got a driver out to help her. Good towing services. Not so great dispatcher. I had been waiting 1 1/2 hours and called to find out where the driver was and she just said "doing job near you" which is what she said when I ordered the tow. I waited a little over 2 hours. Can be rather expensive though. Upwards of $300 for a 10+ mi. tow. Make sure to do other calls but as a last resort they will get the job done cleanly if you're willing to fork the money for it. read more

I know I know... you think tow company and you think this is gonna suck. A good friend got into a motorcycle wreck and he was taken away by ambulance. His biggest question was "where's my bike and how bad is it?" When attempting to retrieve another person's vehicle, you will need power of attorney and written statement authorizing the person picking it up to do so, as well having that document notarized. It might be a hassle but it prevents the vehicle from getting into the wrong hands. With everything in order, we headed to the yard, (actually we were originally sent to a nearby location, which sent us here) and the staff was very helpful given the situation. $175, one day of storage plus the tow, and they even helped us put it in the truck since it didn't roll. Insurance will reimburse for the tow and the bike is on its way to the shop. Thanks Pinky Tows! read more

After getting into a bad accident, the last thing you want to deal with is an unprofessional company. That's exactly what happened to me with Pinky Tows. Although my car was only a mile or so away from their yard and I was told that they would be there in 30 minutes, it took them 2 hours to get my car. Then the next day, they wouldn't release and take my car to the body shop that my insurance set up for me unless I drove all the way to their shop sign a release form. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I had no car, so had to get a rental and drive from town to Kapolei. When we got there, our car was already gone and on it's way to the body shop. Not sure why they made us go through all of that if they were already taking it where our insurance company instructed them to. To make matters worse, when we were allowed to remove our personal items from our car, we found several items missing. Just like others have mentioned, if you ever have them tow your car, be sure to remove any valuable items and secure your car. Otherwise, be prepared to be robbed and ripped off. I need a tow and call my roadside assistance they told me it would be about a 2hr wait. I chopped it up and said ok it is the middle of the night this was at about 2am. When did they show up 545am. So now we are off to the dealership. We get there and of coarse they are closed so we decided to leave outside of gate ok they don't open for another 30min (its 630am they don't open til 7am) there was a tow a way sign where we left it but I saw that there where people on inside so I said let me make sure this a good spot, the driver assured me it was and they can use a fork lift to bring on the inside. WRONG!!! the sales person working stated they have no fork lift and the car need to be brought in by the tow. I tried calling the tow guy and tell him this he doesn't answer my calls! A truly sad place to ever find yourself! Pinkys/ Sharks towing have some of the worst personnel working I have ever encountered. My car was towed 25 miles from its location in downtown Honolulu to this dump (approx 40 minutes away) located on Komohana St. The people who work the front desk bear no connection to humanity in their demeanor, interaction or appearance. I would even venture to say they take pleasure in the nature of their work- which brings people grief and hardship. The following are the events of my story: I parked in a 'loading only' zone minutes before the sign said it would be okay to park there. It appears a tow truck was called the minute I left my vehicle. I came back 2 hours later to find my car gone. I figured I had the bad fortune of being towed and began calling around. I finally reached the correct place - the very terrible Sharks/Pinkys towing. The woman on the phone informed me it would cost $280 to release my vehicle (bare in mind that $290 is the absolute cap on towing in Oahu). It had been towed 40 minutes to their location. What a profitable business towing is! She also informed me payment would be cash only- which is against the law in Oahu: payment must be accepted via cash OR credit card. I had no choice to comply, however, and asked where the ATM was. She replied there was no ATM available - the law clearly states, there should be an available means by which patrons can obtain cash funds. Another violation. I finally managed to withdraw funds from an ATM 15 minutes away and came back to finally retrieve my car. Upon starting it, I noticed my 'check gauges' light was on- needless to say, it was not on previously! So, now I am filing a small claims suit against this despicable company and its employees. After my truck was totaled in an accident, my truck was brought to Pinky Tows. Once released by my insurance company, I was able to finally access the vehicle to gather my belongings which now was at the Police Auction. Needless to say, my most valuable/sentimental belongings were missing, the Auction did inform me of their policies, and I'm confident that the Auction had no part in the thieving actions. I called to file a complaint with Pinky Tows, after arguing with the person on the phone, I was informed that the GM would contact me. After some time of NO responses, I emailed the company to talk to someone higher up and still have not received anything. Pinky Tows is a sad excuse for a Tow company! NEVER USE THEM! Got my car towed for no registration off the public street and I understand that's my fault anyway I'm guessing pinkys towing has the state contract so I went to Campbell to pay the tow bill and get my car out and when they brought it out the front bumper was completely ripped off and damaged. I asked to speak to the owner and it was a kinda fat white lady, never asked her name but she completely denied them ripping my bumper off. So I called the police to make a report and the cop said I gotta go to small claims court so I decided it be a waste of time and didnt go. Obviously people don't park their cars on the street with no front bumper. I took the loss but I'd never ever ever ever recommend pinkys towing due to shady bad business. How am I going to win that argument? They've already towed my car? It's the towers word against mine. People at their business of course going to side with their guy. Had someone tailing me this morning when I tried to get on the freeway from the North/South road at approx. 7:30 a.m. heading east bound. Had my blinker on as I merged on the freeway, Pinky's towing truck sped up and tailed me, right up to my rear bumper. If I had slammed on my brake it would had been an awful seen. Instead, I pumped my brakes to signal him to get off. He backed off and in turn, switched lanes to the left of me and of course, had to stare me down as he sped up.
