My fiancé and I went here on a whim on a Monday afternoon. I've never been to any of their locations before, and have been meaning to try this place out. We got 3 strawberry flavored cupcakes, 1 cookies and cream cupcake, birthday cake macaron, and a mint truffle. I enjoyed the birthday macaron, but the texture is nothing like a real French macaron. The flavor I chose was much harder, and tasted more so like a delicate hard cookie. It was still good. My fiancé enjoyed his mint truffle, no complaints there. My oldest son and youngest son ate their cupcakes, but said it was way too sweet. They are 9 and 6 years old. My fiancé and I both tried the strawberry flavored cupcakes, and we both thought the frosting was a bit too sweet, and cake portion a bit too dry. Not too bad though. The store inside is super cute with lots of random candy, and other sweet treats. The lady that cashed us out was super friendly, patient, and overall gave us excellent service. Like others mentioned the cupcakes are on the smaller side with tons of frosting, and a bit pricy. As a family we just thought it was okay, but come here and try it for yourself. read more

I love cupcakes. All kinds of cupcakes. But there is something about Pinkitzel cupcakes that just automatically makes you so happy. These particular Pinketzels were delivered to my home, sent to me by a beloved colleague. I was having a tough day, but the sudden surprise of sugary goodness really changed the entire day for me. There is no telling how many of these pretty ladies they have created over the years, but each one was absolutely perfect. They were all different flavors, and each one was crafted with the maximum amount of attention to detail. I think it is impressive to see the quality has not changed in years, and that they were able to get to them to me in such perfect condition. They were not, I'm pleased to report, too pretty to eat. We ate them all over the course of just a few days. My favorites were the carrot cake and the red velvet, but I really think they were all delicious. You know I love my kids when I let one of them take the coconut one and I didn't even try to fight her for it. It was such a good reminder that all delivered surprises need not be flowers. These were every bit as beautiful as flowers, but I could eat them! More importantly, I bribed my children with these cupcakes for two days. As you can imagine The girls begged and pleaded to enter and since I was hot from that summer Oklahoma heat we took a visit. To our surprise the inside was full of glam and glitz! First, inside it's super cute! But as for their cupcakes? They're pretty lil things, especially in their gift box, but I find them undersized, overpriced and quality is inconsistent. And their macarons? Even worse. These small cupcakes have super tall frosting tops, so a fork is a must. And like I said, the quality varies. The strawberry lemonade cupcake is delicious and my favorite of theirs -- just sweet enough, frosting the right consistency, cake soft and fluffy, not dry. But their chocolate turtle was a fail, frosting too wet and sticky. I've had a lot of bad macarons, but these are the farthest from authentic I've encountered, texture and flavor almost like candy. They are not cooked properly, very chewy, then chilled. Their rosé flavor tasted like synthetically sweet strawberry cereal milk. No thanks. They do also have a fun selection of gifts, truffles and various candies, but again overpriced. While it's a cute spot, I have better cupcake options nearer my home, and Pinkitzel just isn't worth a trip out of one's way. read more

We went into Pinkitzel's open door and almost thought the store was vacant. It wasn't until later when we walked all the way into the back of the store by the macaroons and cupcakes behind the counter that we noticed a girl sitting, staring at her phone. No welcome, no acknowledgment, barely even looked up. Not to mention, we got one little bag of the candy they sell by weight...IT WAS $23! I'm surprised we even checked out. Some of the candy was very old/hard too. Guess I really wanted some candy. Overall just poor experience. read more

What a fantastic visual overload of treats this place was. A totally delight! I wanted to get a sweet treat before returning to Tulsa and because we were already in Edmond we decided to give it a try. At first it looked closed but after driving around the side we saw it was open. As the pictures show, this boutique is a great place for browsing (unless on a diet) and has a ton of unique gifts. Everything from tiny cupcake mints to imported theme birthday supplies. Very cool. The baked cupcakes were super cute but tiny for the price. Tasty though. The service (rated poorly by other yelpers) was okay. Not rude but not super friendly. The cashier didn't seem to share the same enthusiasm I did about their establishment. I didn't care. Hands down best cupcake I've ever eaten. I chose the strawberry shortcake. Let's begin with the candy sprinkles and malt ball on top. Perfect strawberry flavored hints, made it feel really exciting and special. Strawberry frosting: Amazing! Tall swirls of pretty delicious pink... Thick, creamy. It was almost too much but hell, when is that ever a bad thing when were talking frosting?! White cake: moist, dense, little compared to the tower of frosting. *Bonus: real strawberries piped in the middle! I didn't see it coming! Made a mess, totally worth it! My husband had the lemon chiffon. His reaction was (verbatim) "Dayumm! Dayumm! Dayummmmmmmm!" Super charming place with a hint of funk. The cupcakes displayed beautifully. I went here because it is close to my home and a treat seemed like a nice idea. The reviews on this site are old. The shop is cute. No prices listed. The young women helping me explained that she was new and did not know all the details of the selections (unacceptable). There was no tea, no coffee, just bottled sweet sodas. I purchased 6 items; 2 cupcakes, 2 macarons, 2 bonbons. They were all different varieties. All were very pretty. 1. The cupcakes were moist but overly sweet even without the frosting. 2. The macarons were beautiful in color but horrible in taste. I took the risk on the lavender flavor. I have had a number of sweets with this flavor and they were delicious. To her credit, the young woman warned me that it might be too strong and that she had already had a complaint from another patron. I tried it anyway but also selected a reliable standard, pistachio. Both were infused with so much flavoring that they were inedible. 3. The bonbons were beautiful to look at. Again, another item that was too sweet to eat. This shop looked like a delight. It was expensive at just under $4 an item. I am happy to pay that if the items I received had been wonderful. These were not. All of them went in to the trash. I will not be back. read more

Candy is a wonderland, and inside pinkitzel is a beautiful fantasy. I went to pinkitzel in edmond for valentines day this year. Wanting to get my boy friend at the time some cupcakes. I looked it up and was really impressed with the alice in wonderlandish decor. I LOVE IT. It's very candytastic. When i walked in i was blown away by the decor and all the colors. This is a real candy store. Chocolate cover nuts of all kinds taffy truffles bon bon cupcakes and things that make your mouth swoon. I was unsure about how to order the cupcakes at first. But i just walked over the to cupcake area by the tables and the lady behind the counter asked me what i needed i told her i had never been there and she started telling me about the different kinds of cupcakes. I got four but the two i remember the most. Were the red velvet and the chocolate salted caramel. The chocolate salted had a caramel square on top of the icing on the cupcake. I actually took this across town and put them in his fridge and then they got moved back across town and take out of the fridge two days later. As they were back to regular temperature we bit into them. Oh my goodness! I can still taste the amazing mix of sweet and salty and chocolately carmel. The red velvet was so moist and the icing was just as perfect. I won't lie the prices are high on everything but it's a speciality candy store. It isn't walmart. You are playing for the decor and those beautiful well made cupcake boxes and the uniqueness of it all. It was worth the price. It was an experience and i will be taking my nephews soon. Pinkitzel is an adorable shop in Edmond. It's pretty much the perfect place to create an amazing candy themed party or host an extravagant kiddie party. Having visited on Christmas Eve I really enjoyed their decorations! They had an array of Christmas themed items for sale along with their regular items. Walking in you come to the self serve salt water taffy table with ever flavor taffy in huge urns with bags to fill to the brim. Then the have cute decorative shelves of all sorts of candies and trinkets. They have two bakery counter displays, one on each side of the store. On the left, gigantic specialty truffles. On the right, adorable specialty cupcakes. Additionally on the right side of the store is cafe seating to enjoy your cupcakes, truffles, or specialty drinks/coffee. A small hallway to the back on the store is lined with nostalgic old time candies and leads to an awesome "tea party" room for hosting super cute fancy kids' parties. They had is set up like a super girlie garden party theme when we were there and it has a curtain to give privacy from the rest of the store. I learned from the cupcake board Pinkitzel means Pink Tinkle in a mashed up Yiddish. So, like, tickled pink. Get it? anyway, cupcakes were $3.75 and weren't very large, but were very pretty. Truffles were $3.99 and were 5 bites truffles. I got a double choclate one and really enjoyed it. Just as good as Godiva or better. Their nostalgic candies were grossly over priced. We had my daughters 11 th birthday party at the Edmond location. We decided to have it there because we stop there often for little treats, and I must say it was awesome the party. It was great all the girls had a blast, and the past host Rebecca was great. If your child wants a mad hatter party or just a great birthday party. You should for sure give this place a chance. I recently visited the Edmond location of Pinkitzel; I have frequented the OKC location for quite some time. The Edmond location is very similar to OKC, just a bit smaller. They have very cute gift items, as well as cupcake and some tables to eat at. It seems most of the cupcakes are taken to go. Their cupcakes are delicious and moist, with yummy frosting I think they are small though for the price, and the cupcake is half cake, half frosting. While the frosting is good, I think it is disproportionate to the cake. They have lots of great, alternating flavors. My favorite is salted carmel and coconut cream. My only suggestion is that they get backs with handles to be able to carry out individual cupcake boxes. It makes it difficult to carry to boxes while maneuvering a purse and trying to get into your car. This is a great place to take kids, and they offer tea parties for groups. read more

Then as you go deeper down the rabbit hole you make your way to the counter. You notice the girls working behind the counter are wearing black "stylish" hats, are they high schoolers trying to be cool? Steampunk enthusiasts? You garner it is most certainly not on their own accord. You try to make sense of the absolutely horrendous display of cupcakes. You don't even know what you're looking at because there are cupcakes at all different heights and rows that don't make sense. Because your celiac you order the gluten free chocolate hazelnut peanut something cupcake. When you try to eat it, the cupcake literally falls apart. No joke, it was as if there was nothing holding it together and the frosting is the only thing left intact. You begin to get the sense that this place is trying to cover up their average items by bombarding your senses with a gross display of elaborate decoration that all feels so superficial and plastic.
