Koala Tea is an excellent boba tea option for South Oklahoma City. Besides the traditional milk teas, flavored teas, and smoothies/slushies, Koala Tea also offers drinks not on the menu. Examples include sugarcane juice and the crazy drinks, which resemble and taste exactly to Teapioca Lounge's boba madness series. Sugarcane juice is exclusive to Koala Tea, and I don't think you could get it at any other boba tea shops. Giving the numerous boba shops popping up throughout Oklahoma City metro, Koala Tea has a place in the city due to location and providing unique drinks. It's a nice little shop that provides excellent service. It opens late and drinks are great, making it 5 stars worthy in my book. read more

I've been to many tea places in OKC, and this is by far my favorite for a multitude of reasons. The tea not only tastes fantastic, but it is so affordable compared to other places! I usually order either the mango smoothie with peach popping boba, strawberry black tea with mango popping, or the tiger tea. I've never had something bad here! This is my 3rd time being in to Koala Tea. Tonight we joined some friends to play some board games. They have a huge selection of games you can pick from. Ranging from monopoly deal, spot it, to 5 second, codename, etc. all the popular games you can think of. Great place to hangout, drink tea, and chill if your not wanting to spend like crazy. For drink selections, I've tried a couple of milk teas. Honestly it's not my favorite. All three times that I've tried the teas ( matcha, sea salt, taro) it has been pretty watered down. It's missing extra powder or some extra creaminess to it. It's not too bad because it's close to my home. But if I would have to make the drive, it wouldn't be my first choice. Although I would say, I did LOVE the macaroons. Kudos to those! They have a great selections of dessert as well. So I would check those out. Very enjoyable. I love the vibe here. When my wife and I first had this place, we loved it!!! We go there for their Vietnamese coffee. Had went almost every weekend until here recently. We went about a month ago and the coffee seemed to be old or something. It tasted like something is fermenting. It just tasted bad. We shook off that one bad experience, and went again today to get our Vietnamese coffee. It has the same horrible flavor as last time. I have no idea why their coffee has just turned horrible, but I hope they can go back to the way they were making it before. Great atmosphere to hang out and just play games/chill. Drinks seem to be less flavorful and not as strong compared to other tea places. I got the taro tea and the flavor wasn't as strong as places I've tasted such as Teapioca or Kung Fu Tea. The balance of the drinks were more mellow or "watered down" as my fellow friend said when we went. But the drinks are decent quality in taste. They have a large variety of add ons such as almond pudding and herbal jelly, which I very much love. The macaroons there are amazing! Came in late on a Friday night but they were open. The staff was super friendly and very nice. I thought the space was really cute a cozy with plenty of board games available. The boba has a nice texture and tastes good. The almond cream tea was overwhelming for me. The almond flavor completely took over the tea, and it was too sweet. I usually like sugary things, but I actually had to wait for the ice to melt to drink the rest. I thought it was weird because the reviews said it was a light touch of almond. The inconsistency could be due to just opening recently, so I can understand that. The green cream tea is okay. I don't really taste the tea that much, but it isn't overly sweet. We love koala tea!! This is truly our favorite tea place in the city! It's just the icing on the cake that it is so close to us! They have board games, free wifi, amazing boba and fresh fruit teas, and comfortable places to sit. My favorites, just to name a few, are the kumquat green tea with fresh fruit, the black milk tea (get it in a pot if you're staying for a while and ask for coffee jelly and rock sugar. You can thank me later.), the raspberry black tea, salted caramel cream tea. Try the chamango drink!! It is off menu and depends on who is working, they may be able to make it for you. We cannot get enough of this awesome Southside/Moore staple that is truly a dream come true. There's also macarons and fresh baked goods at the front for your sweet tooth.
