I originally had some issues getting them to answer their phone (we get busy, customers walk in, I am in no way upset because I was also busy with college). Now, I thought we had everything finalized, but they double checked to make sure I was still going with them for my wedding cake (which I am super greatful for because... wedding day would have had no wedding cake lol). I stumbled upon this place on Christmas Eve and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and we were greeted by Carol, who offered us delicious samples and made us feel right at home. Every item in the store is so beautifully and intricately decorated that it felt like stepping into a dream. The selection of pastries, cakes, and cookies was incredible--choosing just one was nearly impossible. As Carol was describing some of her offerings, I spotted a mousse cake shaped like a French Bulldog and instantly knew that was the one. I'm so glad I stopped in! The most DISGUSTING cakes my family and I have ever tasted. It was for kids birthday parties. One was supposed to be Boston Cream filling and as you can see in the pictures it was weird Orange, Gelatin Squares. When I called the owner she claimed it was Custard. Bold face LIE, custard is a cream color that tastes like pudding NOT disgusting orange jello. Another cake was supposed to be filled with cookies and cream looks like she filled it with butter and crunched Oreo sprinkled on top NOT mixed in as a real cookies and cream filling. The final cake was supposed to be chocolate ganache and it definitely was not. If the owner did not know how to make any of the fillings she should have told me before making me pay. There are so many cute pastries and the person helping us was very nice. First time customers get to same their chiffon cake and Japanese cheese cake which are delicious. We ended up buying a raspberry lemon chiffon cake. It was nice and fluffy with a nice tartness from the lemon all while being sweet, but not too sweet. Over all I would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys sweets that are not overly sweet. We didn't get to try any of their cookies so I can't comment on those except that they had a mix of super cute character cookies and more traditional looking ones. Info: It just opened in past 2 months, as of 19 Jan 2023, when I discovered them. They're still under a bit of construction inside. Hours: No hours posted yet but their menu handout shows 8am-7pm, but didn't state if that's every day or certain days. Google shows it's every day. Business: This is a bakery, obviously by their name. They make items like different kinds of bread, croissants, and some others with chocolate or white chocolate inside and/or iced on the outer side of the bread. They had some made with cornbread and bacon. Cakes: They make small, mini, and regular sized cakes for sale in the front refrigerator sections. They sell slices of their big cakes individually as well. They also had some mini fruit tarts. They also have cream Swiss rolls, cupcakes, Boston's Cream Pie, and other items listed on their menu. Flavors: The various flavors they had when I went today are Earl Grey (like the tea), taro and chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and cream. Their menu posted on the windows and in the menu brochure they gave me show they make green tea matcha flavors too. Birthday Cakes: I asked if they do birthday cakes by special order, and one of the women told me they do special orders and need at least 24 hours notice to make them. Drinks: Their menu shows they make smoothies and floats like iced tea or coffee float, sprite or root beer. I didn't ask if they're able to do that yet, as they just opened and I didn't see a drink making area. Staff: The woman who helped me was nice. I got a chocolate croissant which cost $3.85 and a slice of chocolate and taro cake was $9.25. So a bit expensive for a small slice of cake at $9.25. My total with tax was $14.23. The croissant was dry and tasted like it was a few days old. I wouldn't buy this again. I couldn't taste any taro in the slice of taro and chocolate pudding cake. I love taro, so I was looking forward to tasting it. Oh well. The chocolate cream icing on the outside of the cake was good. The cake was moist, but had a grainy taste, and definitely not worth $9.25. So it was disappointing to spend $14.23 on 2 bakery items that weren't that good. Overall, a pretty cool bakery with very specialized goods. A word of caution, you won't find a lot of typical French/English things here, this is mostly an Asian inspired bakery. As long as you have the right expectation, this will be a good experience. If you are looking for rich chocolate chip cookies and the like, this isn't the bakery you're looking for. We grabbed a bunch of different things to try and found that their savory breads were by far the best! Their cookies and cakes, while flakey, were a bit plain in flavor. We were driving aimlessly, looking for somewhere to eat and ended up at Jake's Coney Island, which is right next door to Dough for Dough. The lady in the Dough for Dough shop was super kind and friendly. She explained there were trays at the front we could use to fill with goodies from the shelves along the wall. And there were so many goodies. They were made with almond flour, so if you're diabetic, that means they are much lower in carbs, It also means the cookies and pastries are a bit harder than Americans are accustomed to eating. If you have experience with European pastries, the tarts especially, then you won't be surprised at the texture. Americans just expect them to be too soft. In the refrigerated section are eclairs and fruit tarts and cream filled cakes and buns. These are not choux pastry eclairs, they are not soft. They are flavorful and delicious and have a strong bite to them. I got an eclair filled with chocolate cream and raspberries. It was soooo delicious. The chocolate cream was light and intensely chocolate. The raspberries were super fresh and flavorful. The pastry was somewhere between crisp and chewy and had a nutty flavor that balanced the cream and fruit close to perfection. I also got a darling shortbread cookie shaped like an elephant. It was shatteringly crisp then it melted in my mouth with a deep butter flavor, sweet, nutty from the almond flour. Think of fresh Danish butter cookies, but so so much better, so much fresher. That's not all - I also got one of the mini nut tarts (pecan). The tart crust was crisp, a bit tough but not near as tough as French tart crusts are. The filling was thick, sweet, chewy like taffy is chewy, with lightly toasted pecan halves coated with a mildly sweet, slightly sticky glaze. Delicious. The cinnamon bread was closer in shape to a monkey bread, aromatically cinnamon, barely sweet at all, soft, and just dry enough to suck up coffee, hot tea, or hot cocoa with wild abandon - and still maintains its shape. Dough for Dough is definitely a bakery to love. The cookies, the chilled pastries, the tarts, the cinnamon rolls are wonderful. I don't get to Edmond often, but when I do get up there, Dough for Dough will be one of my Must Stop and buy as many treats as I can afford to last several days. I miss good bakeries filled with wondrous delicious treats. I want a good German bakery with all the delicious treats they carry, or a lovely Viennese bakery, but this Taiwanese bakery fills a hollow spot in me that American bakeries can't even touch. Try them, they are delicious. If you're very American, start with the cinnamon buns and shortbread cookies, then the fruit tarts, then dive into the deliciousness that is Dough for Dough. This very unassuming facade leads you to a hidden treasure in Edmond. Central OK lacks the large chain bakeries that other big cities have, but Dough for Dough fills that void with Taiwanese pastries that are not only delicious, but super cute! I got the pineapple bun and some cookie sandwiches for the kids. My friend got a meringue cookie as well. I am definitely going back for that fruit sandwich! Didn't get it this visit just because we were headed to lunch afterwards and had no way to keep it refrigerated during the day. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the Tiramisu cake with mascarpone cheese for $85, 8" round cake. What I received was a dry coffee cake with a very thin layer of mascarpone cheese. Not at all a tiramisu. I honestly don't know how they justify charging $85 for a coffee cake. It looked and tasted like a cheap factory cake for $10. I feel ripped off. I contacted the bakery, and they said they would only refund me $21 after I paid $93 with tax included. Even with a refund, $72 for a dry 8" coffee cake is ridiculous. read more

I like their red bean roll, i had never tried it before so i was unsure at first but it was super good but i think my favorite item is the strawberry tart - it keeps me coming back every week or so and i usually will grab one or two other things to try since they have a large variety of goodies- some sweet and some savory flavors. I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner! This place is basically a mini, locally owned 85°C Bakery :) They've got so, so, so many different breads and baked goods. Similar to 85°C, they've got little trays for you to grab all the goods you like. Plenty of savory and sweet options, which was so nice to look through. Their pastry cooler though.... that's the star of the show in my opinion. SO MANY DESSERTS! They've got a billion different flavors of pannacotta and so many different cakes (including the best tiramisu I've had in Oklahoma).
