4/24/26 Railyard Pie - Mixed Experience This Visit We've been here several times before and have always had great experiences, which is why this visit stood out a bit--for different reasons. We stopped in for a quick slice of pie to go. The place had a steady flow of customers, but there was only one person working behind the counter. She was juggling multiple orders and answering the phone, so service was understandably slower than usual. We ended up waiting about five minutes (maybe a bit longer) just to place our order. My wife was ready to head out, but I decided to stick it out since we weren't in a rush. Once we were able to order, things moved quickly, and our pie was ready within a few minutes. That said, the initial wait was a bit frustrating--especially for what we expected to be a quick stop. It felt like they may have been short-staffed, which can happen, but it did impact the overall experience this time around. I am so glad I got a chance to try Railyard Pie. I have tried once before and it was not open on the day I was there. But when I went in today, I was greeted by the kind staff' as soon as I came into the cute little shop. I chose to take my hubby the Mae's chocolate pie, and I ordered the peanut butter. Both were good, but the peanut butter one knocked my socks off! lol It was so delicious, and I will definitely try it again next time I am in the area. read more

Hidden away in Edmond's Railyard is this gem. I usually park on the other side of the Railyard so I've never noticed this place prior to this week. I have been missing out. The inside is so cute. Definitely a spot you could hit up for after dinner dessert or afternoon coffee and pie. Speaking of pies. So many awesome pies to choose from, but today I went with blackberry and blueberry. Both were amazing. I usually don't like most pie crusts and stop eating when I get there, but this crust tastes phenomenal. It's not too dry or chewy. The crumble on the blackberry pie was something you could put on anything and feed me. I expected them to be a little tart as some can be but it wasn't. Neither was too tart or too sweet. I could've finished both today. I will be back in the very near future to try the lemon and chocolate. Maybe key lime too. Just gimme the whole pie case. read more

A five-year old (this five-year-old may or may not be related to me) eating one of the pies from Railyard pointed out that "the chocolate was really thick and hard. They should have left the pie outside. It was bouncing around." The "bouncing" referred to the slice moving around while we were trying to cut through the rock-hard, chocolate "mortar" layer in the pie. Frankly, this last time was like every other experience we've had with Railyard: the pies are decent (enough), but they're not unique in terms of flavor, or particularly amazing in terms of quality/effort (e.g., cream pies are a popular choice at Railyard). Also throw in some weird missteps where even a toddler is like "yo, that was a middling dessert experience." With Railyard, you have a pie place that's done a great job of branding itself with the Edmond "live, laugh, love" crowd. I'm sure it will succeed specifically because of those folks, despite selling average, and overpriced pies. P.S. Sometimes they have live music. That's pretty cool. read more

I actually walked in today because I had driven from the city to a nearby coffee shop that was closed for the day because of some cleaning & maintenance! They recommended I take a trip to Railyard Pie and I am really glad I did! I walked in and grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted by a smiling face, Lynn, who owns the place and instantly felt welcomed. The entire staff have smiles on their faces and foster a warm and welcoming environment. The environment is also filled with the most comfortable seats and a very cozy interior. Additionally, the food was absolutely amazing and it made for a great day in Edmond, even thought it isn't what I originally had planned for my day. I stopped here with a friend, and wow! This was the best peanut butter pie I've ever had. It was so good that I returned the next day to purchase a whole pie and have incorporated the term "breakfast pie" into my vocabulary. I've also incorporated another pant size into my waistline, but it was worth it. Please learn from my mistake: the cooler in the lobby is NOT a grab and go cooler! I made the mistake of picking a pie out of the cooler and took it to the register to pay for it- the pie was for someone's prepaid to go order! Talk about embarrassing. 1st visit and mixed review. We walked in and first told they were out of most pies. Then told by another girl they had a whole pie they could cut. So just to say very hectic, young workers, probably overwhelmed! We ordered 2 Sausage n spinach quiche that came with a salad for $11.00 each, if I remember correctly. Oh.... So good !!! Salad had a little tomato, cucumber, carrots, seeds and vinaigrette dressing. This was absolutely delish ! We also had a slice of pecan pie. It was very good! Small but good. I could of eaten 2, no prob but $5.50 each. I would of loved a cup of coffee with it but got too busy, long line. So this is a 5 star minus one for service and workers. One had long bangs dangling down and kept pushing them aside. Yes with hands working with food. All workers very young, so hopefully work out the kinks. Definitely give it a try earlier in the day. We started out our lunch with a slice of quiche and bowl of tomato basil soup. Both were outstanding! The next time I will be ordering a whole quiche. Crisp, buttery crust and the filling was the perfect density and flavor. Probably the best quiche I've ever had. Of course we had to have pie while we were there. I had the Lemon Meringue and my wife had Coconut Cream. I didn't taste the Coconut Cream pie but it looked amazing. The Lemon Meringue was none like I've ever had. The meringue was creamy (like marshmallow cream) and then they toasted the top. It was the perfect combination of sweet and tangy with the lemon. I can't even describe. I want more of it. Ok, my caveat while writing this review is that my mother was the best pie maker in all of America, who's crust was utter perfection. So, when it comes to pie, I have very high standards when it comes to crust. I decided on lemon merengue since it had been such a long time since I had had one. The lemon filling was fantastic, bright sweet and tart and silky, the merengue was light and fluffy and toasted, though not as firm as I am used to. But still the merengue was tasty. The crust however was not my favorite. The flavor was fine, but at least in my piece lacked the flakiness that I have come to love in pie crust. My husband had banana cream as it is his favorite pie ever and was happy with his selection. We came at the end of the day (last 40 minutes) and the coffee we ordered to share tasted a bit old and burned... but I'm going to chalk that up to being the last few minutes of the night and for some reason inside the restaurant it was soooo hot (the poor gal taking our order was so pink cheeked and when I mentioned it was warm inside she readily agreed with me). Despite saying we'd like to dine in, we were served in to go containers on the patio (while others were served on plates), but that's a minor pick too... Over all, good enough to give it another go. I do love pie, even if I can get pretty persnickety about my crust. But when you're paying $6.50 a slice, I think I'm allowed to be (two slices of pie and a house coffee cost us almost half of what the two of us spent on dinner and an appetizer earlier in the evening elsewhere!) I do wish I would have seen they have chocolate whoopie pies as I would have loved to have had one of those! Next time :) read more

What a treasure!!! You have to go hunting for it first. Tucked away behind everything in the Edmond Railyard. It's on the northern end. But when you find it.... YOU WIN!!!! Of course, we traipse in 10 minutes before closing so they were out of my favorites; key lime and lemon meringue. Fear not, we did not leave empty handed. We got slices of the blackberry (seasonal), apple crumble, chocolate and peanut butter. Plus, two whoopie pies; chocolate and oatmeal. Surprisingly, the oatmeal whoopie was my favorite. Reminded me of a Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pie, but 10000x better. All the pies were decadent and beautifully presented. The peanut butter had a chocolate ganache bottom and Oreo crust. The chocolate was better than any French silk I've ever had and the fruit pies were rustic with flaky buttery crust. Will most definitely return for the key lime and lemon meringue. And the quiches! Was a bit pricier than other pie places, but convenient, cute and DELICIOUS! Just had to edit my review after having more of the apple crumble. Tried 4 different slices here and it's definitely one of the best pie stops in Oklahoma. I am a BIG Coconut cream pie fan and outside of Hawaii, this is the best I have had. The black bottom banana cream was also fantastic. The other two we had were still good, but only just. So why 4 out of 5 starts? Well two small nitpicks, both of which are opinions. The meringue on the lemon pie was over blackened, like burnt, which would've been better just browned instead. Secondly, they are kinda pricey. $6 a slice is a premium price, and while they are good, they don't even charge that much in NY for cheesecake. Here's what a $35 pie looks like. I was given a gift card for Christmas which is a great present, in theory. I had to pay a cutting fee of $9 I guess. I was told since they didn't have a whole pie left to sell me I had to take a whole pie that cost more. Looks exactly the same to me. 6 slices x $5.50 as opposed to the $26 as advertised. My friend told me that they had several different food places plus this cute little pie place. Wow. I was blown away. I love the ambiance in here. It was small but cozy, and very bright. My friend and I wanted to try some pies so we got 3 and two whoopie pies to share. I loveeee lemon so I got the lemon cream pie and the lemon chess pie. Omg. The flavors of these pies were bomb. Lemon flavor was good and the whole pie itself was delish. It's a pretty big piece for $5... if you love lemon, this is the place to go. Yaay for pie! Expect theirs to be fresh and well-made with flavors bright and yummy! I've only stopped in a couple of times so far, but what I tried was very good. With super friendly and helpful workers, happy to answer any question or make suggestions. Pie slices run $5.50-6.50. My only complaint was that their meringue lacked stiff peaks, and was mild and thin, more like whipped cream. But the lemon curd inside was simply delicious, tart and lemony, not too sugary sweet. They have savory pies too, quiches and the such, slices for around $10 with included salad. I love the long counter to sit at and watch the pie-making magic. The rest of the tables also comfortable. Decor is cozy and adorable. It's the kind of place you can sit at a while and just chat between mouthfuls. The line for pie is a handful of people long at all times. Parking lot is usually packed. The current clientele skews older, and they tend to stare down their nose at anyone not seated at their table. But Railyard Pie is not just for the so-called Edmond elites. It's for all of us! This is a great quant little place perfect for a light lunch, dessert and coffee date or grab something to take home. My mother, aunt and I went here for lunch. They sell savory pies (aka Quiche) and amazing sweet pies. We each got a Savory Pie with a soup or salad and a Sweet Pie then shared them all. My favorite of the Savory Pies was the Jays Spinach Tart. The spinach was a great texture but all of them were amazing. Not huge slices but the salad and soups were fairly large portions so for $9-11 it was a good meal. The sweet pies can be bought by the slice or a whole pie. They are mostly $5.50 and are very large slices. Can definitely be shared but why would you?? Lol. They were all so amazing in their own right. The Lemon was a perfect tart to sweet while the KeyLime was next to the best I have ever had. The Black Bottom Banana Cream has real Banana slices in it and the chocolate cream on the bottom was a perfect pairing. Lynn and her crew are amazing. When you walk in, it feels like walking into a family home/kitchen. Everyone greets you with a smile. They make amazing recommendations. We had the Quiche Lorraine and the Sausage, red pepper and Spinach Quiche along with the Henry's Chopped Salad and Wedge Salad. All of this was absolutely delicious. The owner Lynn took the time to welcome guests and spent time telling us how Henry created the salad. All of the food and pies are made from scratch, which is so refreshing to find these days!! Kudos to Railyard Pie Co. for this!! Lynn is beyond delightful and her crew are all charming as well. Now, for the pie, over the two days we were here we had the Chocolate Mocha Cream, Peanut Butter, Coconut Cream, Banana Cream and Tart Cherry pie. Delicious doesn't do them justice. I had tears in my eyes as the cherry pie was just like my grandma's. The shop itself is absolutely welcoming, so clean, plenty of room to sit down and section your group off if you would like to for a chat both indoors or outside. They have live music on the weekends, but we were told that it is kept at a volume that you are still able to still have a conversation. You have the option of dining in or carrying out, you can buy by the the slice or the whole pie.
