This was supposed to be Boston Cream but it was DISGUSTING orange, curdled, gelatin squares!
Amy P.

The most DISGUSTING cakes my family and I have ever tasted. It was for kids birthday parties. One was supposed to be Boston Cream filling and as you can see in the pictures it was weird Orange, Gelatin Squares. When I called the owner she claimed it was Custard. Bold face LIE, custard is a cream color that tastes like pudding NOT disgusting orange jello. Another cake was supposed to be filled with cookies and cream looks like she filled it with butter and crunched Oreo sprinkled on top NOT mixed in as a real cookies and cream filling. The final cake was supposed to be chocolate ganache and it definitely was not. If the owner did not know how to make any of the fillings she should have told me before making me pay. We ended up THROWING away ALL 3 cakes because they were disgusting, all of the kids hated the cakes. That's how you know the cakes were GROSS! Definitely do NOT recommend!

Dough for Dough Cake & Bakery: Outside

Review #122: Dough for Dough Cake & Bakery Location: 1828 E. 2nd Street, Edmond, OK 73034. Next to Jimmy John's sandwich place. It's on the south side of E. 2nd Street. Info: It just opened in past 2 months, as of 19 Jan 2023, when I discovered them. They're still under a bit of construction inside. Hours: No hours posted yet but their menu handout shows 8am-7pm, but didn't state if that's every day or certain days. Google shows it's every day. Business: This is a bakery, obviously by their name. They make items like different kinds of bread, croissants, and some others with chocolate or white chocolate inside and/or iced on the outer side of the bread. They had some made with cornbread and bacon. Cakes: They make small, mini, and regular sized cakes for sale in the front refrigerator sections. They sell slices of their big cakes individually as well. They also had some mini fruit tarts. They also have cream Swiss rolls, cupcakes, Boston's Cream Pie, and other items listed on their menu. Flavors: The various flavors they had when I went today are Earl Grey (like the tea), taro and chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and cream. Their menu posted on the windows and in the menu brochure they gave me show they make green tea matcha flavors too. Birthday Cakes: I asked if they do birthday cakes by special order, and one of the women told me they do special orders and need at least 24 hours notice to make them. Drinks: Their menu shows they make smoothies and floats like iced tea or coffee float, sprite or root beer. I didn't ask if they're able to do that yet, as they just opened and I didn't see a drink making area. Staff: The woman who helped me was nice. Website: DoughForDoughEdmond.com Payment: If you pay with a credit card it's an up charge than if you pay with cash. My experience: I went on Thurs, 19 Jan 2023. I got a chocolate croissant which cost $3.85 and a slice of chocolate and taro cake was $9.25. So a bit expensive for a small slice of cake at $9.25. My total with tax was $14.23. The croissant was dry and tasted like it was a few days old. I wouldn't buy this again. I couldn't taste any taro in the slice of taro and chocolate pudding cake. I love taro, so I was looking forward to tasting it. Oh well. The chocolate cream icing on the outside of the cake was good. The cake was moist, but had a grainy taste, and definitely not worth $9.25. So it was disappointing to spend $14.23 on 2 bakery items that weren't that good. Maybe once they're opened longer and perfect the baking, they'll improve the baked food, especially for that price. {Posted on Thurs, 19 Jan 2023}

Tres Leche Cake

Stopped in here because my order from Jimmy John's wasn't ready yet and I was pleasantly surprised by the magical environment of Dough for Dough! The staff were so sweet and let us sample some cake before we ended up choosing the Tres Leches cake! I will 100% be coming back

Cream Swiss roll & earl grey flavored dinner rolls.

I'm so excited to see Edmond has a bakery like this. There are so many options to choose from. It's the perfect store for quick togo breakfast and cafe sweets. (It currently doesn't have anywhere for customers to sit.) The lady told us she's from Taiwan. She patiently introduced various of desserts. Overall, the items here are less sugar and fresh according to her. We got the matcha panna cotta, chocolate cream Swiss rolls and earl grey dinner rolls. I've tried the panna cotta. It's tofu texture. The taste is mixed of matcha and milk. It isn't too sweet. I would buy it again.

After some brunch, we decided to try Quincy's since they moved to a new location. First, just so…read moreyou know when looking for Quincy's, it's in a small strip of businesses next to each other without much signage. The most signage was a piece of paper that said Quincy's so keep an eye out. Their choices were pretty slim. They might have had at most 8 different choices, which is fine, but only one of each for a few items. This was about 10am. Their specialty chocolate pastry was really good. It had a good chocolate flavor without being too indulgent. Their blueberry lemon scone was not good at all. Super dry, the flavor was more of flour if anything. I also bought a sugar cookie which my daughter loved, but I just couldn't get over paying $6 for the scone my husband and I didn't care for. Otherwise the other two items were good. No seating, so don't plan to hang around. They also don't have any coffee either at this location.

I love this place! This is one of my top 3 places in the City to study, do work, or even chat up…read morewith friends. It's inside the Bradford house. The environment is beautiful and peaceful. I love their coffee & pastries! If I could help you choose one pastry their chocolate babka I couldn't recommend more. I'll attach photos! Coffee would be their Dulce miel or ask about their seasonal drinks! Keep in mind It is an open space so people will host meetings or people gather but nothing some headphones can't solve. They also have a patio where you can sit with tables. There's a restaurant and bar also located within the premises would definitely check those out. They also host events or wine nights definitely ask the staff!

Absolutely love this bakery I ordered a valentine cake for my niece a strawberry with cream cheese…read moreicing it was a delicious cake and everyone loved it. And the owner was nice and professional I highly recommend you try it out.

Eh. Firstly, do not…read morecome here expecting ButterSweet Cupcakes, it may be similar, but it's since changed hands. The lady running the place could be friendlier. She had a miserable attitude when I was there and made it very uncomfortable and uninviting while ordering. I asked for the dozen count mix of small cupcakes, which turns out are not prepackaged like they are at most places, you pick each one of the dozen for some reason here. They only had 6 different types so had to double up on a few. Price is a 1/5, almost $30 for a dozen mini cupcakes is insane. Taste is a 2.5/5. It was very confusing, some like the blueberry cupcakes were pretty good - though they tasted more like a muffin. But the chocolate was so dry and artificial tasting it wasn't edible. The pumpkin ones were okay, but overall nothing better than a grocery store bakery. Presentation is a zero, she smooshed them all when closing the lid, which was just lazy. I don't get it, maybe it was just an off day or something but I was NOT impressed and it was a disappointing treat for a birthday. Only half were eaten if that tells you anything. I'll stick with some of the other local cupcake shops next time.

This bakery was right by my hotel, so I stopped by on my way to a work meeting. At about 8:30am,…read morethey were still putting out fresh pastries! I was instantly drooling. I love that you grab a tray and tongs and can load up what you want. It's a bit pricey, but that's expected for good pastries in the U.S. These rival any European pastry I've had. My iced tiramisu latte was incredible also. Staff were quick and friendly. And it's bright and spacious inside with lots of seating. I'll definitely be back to try more.

Let me start by saying there's a bakery in Dallas I love to go to and wish it was here…read more When I went into this place I didn't expect to see a mini version of my favorite Dallas bakery! Baked items and snacks everywhere you look. We went around closing time but managed to snag some really good stuff. The staff seemed nice and the guy who checked us out was really friendly. The girl counting items wasn't super friendly and didn't say anything to us when we walked in. So first things I saw was a matcha brownie with an Oreo in the middle of it! A what?! So I don't really like brownies, but I love matcha, so I had to get it. My boyfriend got one too. Then I saw a beautiful green tea cloud cake waiting for me to buy it and try it! Funny enough, I tried to find a matcha cake for my birthday when I was in Dallas. Surprisingly I couldn't find any place with a matcha cake. Who knew little Oklahoma would have my cake. We bought our goods now the hard choice: do we eat in the car or wait to drive home? Hm we ate it in the car of course. The cloud cake was so magical and airy. The matcha was prominent and not overpowering. Same with the brownie. It was a soft brownie and the chocolate worked great with the rich matcha flavor. I'd get both of those again. Price for two brownies and slice of cake was about $15
