    Breakfast tacos! Recommend!
    Tori B.

Squeee!!! Loved this! First I was very impressed at how serious they took the pandemic and Covid precautions. This matter is a great deal to me. They are currently only serving takeout and they do a really good business. Why? Because the food is awesome. It really is. We were there for breakfast on Sunday morning. They have a wide variety of things to choose from it and all are reasonably priced. The coffee isn't great but the food is amazing! (woodshed across the street is a great place for coffee if you're looking for one). They claim to have the best donut in town. We had to double check this claim of course. We had a plain doughnut and honestly it was quite good. Probably could've had a little less glaze. They have a lot of more colorful varieties, but we're donut purists. The breakfast tacos and Cuban sandwich were excellent. The people are helpful and friendly. Check it out!

Pretty disappointed with my recent purchase from here. I went in and purchased macaroons (assorted flavors) and a lemon bar. The lemon bar wasn't bad, but wasn't spectacular. The macaroons were completely stale which I was pretty sad about. At $2 each I expect them to taste pretty decent but that was not the case. Not sure if we just got a bad batch but my friend and I both couldn't finish ours.

I was excited about trying this new-ish restaurant that is across the street (on the west side) from Baskin Robbin. Based upon the food, I'm mostly still pleased but I must say the excitement has complete passed). The decor is overstuffed chairs and nice tables and chairs in industrial chic. It is too cute. I was so thrilled to have found it. I mean aesthetically it will make any bougie person's heart sing with platitudes. I mean, it is the bougie-meisters Dream coffee shop - down to the cutesy pillows with doughnuts on them that even have the name of the restaurant on them. They also have a ton of different types of macaroons but I didn't try any of them. They were definitely inviting though. They do not have free (or any) WiFi for guests. That I find appalling. In this day and age in a coffee & doughnut shop that is bougie in decor, price et al. There wasn't any internet service inside because of thick walls. Boo! I got the espresso doughnut and it was very good. I could for sure taste the espresso. It wasn't as fluffy as I like and something was a bit off but I ate every single bite. The coconut latte was one of the best coconut lattes I ever had. All to often in a coconut flavor the flavor is too delicate. But this was coconut-y without being too sweet all the way through. Good to the last drop.

    Macaron class taught by Aimee
    Gayle L.

We booked a macaron class for my niece's bridal shower at Belle's Kitchen and it was a lot of fun and the class was well done. Aimee, our instructor, was very knowledgeable and gave us practical tips on how to make macarons (the French cookie not the coconut haystacks called macaroons). We essentially had the whole place to ourselves for our party. We ended up buying drinks there rather than bringing our own as they had told us that we could do. Aimee set out coffee and water for us and made a few really yummy lattes for those who wanted them. I wouldn't think twice to book another similar event here. Plus it's the perfect place to meet a friend for coffee and a donut. I need to go back so I can try their donuts since they had sold out before our class.

I tried the vanilla donut this morning and it was delicious! It was hard to choose a flavor because they all looked so good. I will be going back to try more.

If I had only eaten the donuts, I would have given Belle's Kit hen 5 stars. My first donut was so good that I went back to the counter a second time! Unfortunately the golden late was so bitter and poorly mixed (clumps of turmeric the size of quarters) that I had to ask for a new drink. The customer service was lovely though! The woman working the counter apologized and gave me a new drink, and a donut to boot! I would 10/10 return for the donuts!!!

Morning After Poutine, missing the advertised cheese curds and hand-cut fries.
    David S.

I ordered the "Morning After Poutine" and received something very different than advertised. The menu on Yelp, Postmates, etc says the poutine is made with "hand-cut" fries and has Wisconsin cheese curds. The poutine I received had no cheese curds and bland crinkle-cut fries, reminiscent of frozen grocery store fries. It was practically tasteless. (The brown gravy was pretty generic, too.) So two wrong items in one simple dish. I messaged the business on Facebook and asked if the fries pictured were really hand-cut. They looked at my message and left it on read status with no response. The next day I messaged again and asked them if they wanted to take an opportunity to respond before I left them a review. Again, left on read status with no response. I assume they just don't care at this point. I just wanted an explanation of what I had received vs. what was advertised, but the silence is rather concerning for a business centered around customer service. We unfortunately won't be ordering again, nor would I recommend them to others.

Misleading photo and description on door dash.
    Krystle K.

I am torn with this review. My first order was phenomenal. I loved the cereal donut. I ordered via door dash and picked some we knew we wanted to try. Fast forward to today. I decided to order the dozen via door dash and I feel it is very misleading in the description. I was expecting a variety meaning toppings and all the different kind of donuts they offer. For $20 you'd think and expect this. They even say you get three free donuts "when available". Of course I did not get the three free donuts and got all the average donuts. None with the fun toppings. Pretty disappointed.

    Espresso and Cinnamon Swirl Doughnuts

Belle Kitchen was our 3rd stop on our OKC Coffee Tour. On the coffee side of things, our experience wasn't great. Ordered the "DragonFruit Latte" which looked incredible on the menu pictures, but then came in a cheap to-go cup without any cute foam designs on top. Honestly just tasted like hot milk with a hint of fruit. Can't complain too much though, because she gave it to us for free for my husbands birthday. HOWEVER! Stop what you're doing and go get their doughnuts NOW! My life is changed forever. Hands down, best doughnuts I have EVER had!! Got the Cinnamon Swirl and Espresso flavors. It was two hours ago and I'm still thinking about going back. So. Dang. Good. Their bakery and food selections are definitely the way to go here.

    Kristin P.

Oh my gosh this place is AMAZING! Whatever you do get the cinnamon roll. Best thing here! It is the size of a paper plate and I tried to eat it all by myself and failed. Already thinking of going back tomorrow. Also have really cute macarons :)

Belle Kitchen OKC is located in what feels like the very outskirts of the city. You walk up to what looks like an ordinary shop and then you immediately transition into a very enchanting and tranquil shop. The setting reminds me of some of the tea shops on the squares that I've visited when I lived in Savannah, GA. All of the seating is located in front of the shop by the entrance, scattered about are several square tables and mini stool tops and some very comfy tall back chairs. The only complaint I have is the large banner on the window showcasing them as having been voted for the best donuts in Oklahoma. As you walk towards the counter, you see the Macaron display off to the left and it's filled with over 30 different options. Very colorful and inventive. On the right, you have the counter where you order and that has the assortment of donuts to select. I showed up after 9am and the shop was empty and there were maybe 8 or so different types of donuts to choose from along with some other pastries. I wasn't sure if I had beaten the rush or if the excitement has started to die down. From my experience, the 3-year mark is a very important milestone for a new restaurant and usually the point where quality slips. it's very hard for a restaurant to maintain their standards when the newness wears off. I ordered a cappuccino $4.00 and a few donuts to try. The donuts were $2 each, but they were larger than your average donut shop donut. The cappuccino was your everyday run of the mill classic cap with a very thick foamy meringue-like head. The portion size was large as well, between 8-10 ounce and tasting slightly better than Starbucks. Belle isn't a coffee shop and I don't think they are trying to be so it's a pretty good cappuccino for a place like this. The donuts were definitely "adult" style donuts and they were not a hit with the kids. I actually enjoyed the contrasting sour yeasty base of the donut paired with the sweet icing. We had a classic glazed, a bright pink one (I forgot the name), and a honey peach? The flavors of those weren't all that impressive but then I ordered the Blueberry Lemon donut and I was blown away. That was simply one of the best donuts I've eaten. It was very tart and fruity, there were two separate glazes that you could pick apart and enjoy separately or combine. The lemon greeted you with an immediate tangy burst of citrus flavor with a very mellow blueberry. I should have ordered them all. Before leaving, we picked up a few of the Macarons ($2 each for the regular ones). They have a ton of flavors to pick from and they were very bright and colorful. The cookie was firm and crumbly but airy and light. The fillings varied and the Honey Lavander had the most intense floral taste that I enjoyed but might come off as very strong to some. Overall, I give them 4 stars but it would be closer to a 3.5 if possible. I think they've had a lot of success and from reading other Yelp reviews, it sounds like there have been some staff changes and other issues that they've been dealing with. I think they have a solid foundation to build on but I think they need to focus on nailing down the basics, even if it means scaling back on options. I'd definitely come back to enjoy the atmosphere and order another Blueberry Lemon donut and coffee.

    Open for takeout only!

I have to admit I was jot a big fan of this place years ago, but it has grown on me quite a bit. The owner is super nice to talk to (are), and the food and coffee are actually very hire good. They take pride in the things they make and the prices are reasonable. I admire that unlike other places in town they have kept the prices reasonable during the pandemic and have not increased 20 to 50% like I have seen many places do. Speed is not their thing, but rather quality. Their lavender latte is one of my favorite in town, and their donuts are good. I am not sure if I agree with "the best donut in oklahoma", but they are good. The beetroot latte is actually one of my favorite things. Very out of the ordinary and very earthy. Do not go for it if you don't like beats. I like that things are made fresh and that they are made by hand, yet, they look good and not scrappy. I will keep coming. I like it better when the music is one even if it is just for takeout some music can really make the ambiance better. The 4 stars have nothing to do with food; it is more that the place does not look organized. I understand that it is hard to keep things neatly organized when you have an open concept, but some things could be out of sight of the customers by adding some dividers. Also, as they make things by hand, speed is sometimes an issue. But... give them a try. You will like their flavors!

My family and I love this place One of my sisters is gluten free and they are always able to accommodate her needs with their desserts. We've stopped by a couple times for their beautiful donuts and they taste sooo good. We even picked up a bundle of macaroons for my sisters bridal party. Great service and great sweets!!! Will continue to come by and support this local gem.

Inedible saturated lavender bits floating in my disgustingly sweet latte.

My wife and I stopped by after 2 PM, and almost everything was already gone -- which honestly says a lot all by itself. We've been wanting to try OKC Sweets ever since hearing that Stephanie Embree won the Next Level Baker competition, so even arriving late wasn't going to stop us. The only items left were three cookies: two Snickerdoodles and one Chocolate Chip. I grabbed all three without hesitation. While checking out, I chatted with the counter staff about the best times to come by and what treats are usually available. With Valentine's Day coming up, they were gearing up to highlight some seasonal offerings -- sadly, we already had an appointment we couldn't miss. Major bummer. That said, after tasting those cookies? Wow. Soft, flavorful, and perfectly balanced -- absolutely worth the hype. If this is what's left at the end of the day, I can only imagine how incredible the full display must be earlier on. All I can say is this: I'll be back -- and much earlier next time. I can't wait to see what else Stephanie and her team put out on the counter.

We didn't see any in the case and the my boyfriend asked the guy at the front. He looked in the back and said they didn't have any. My boyfriend asked him about how it says if we order online it can be ready within the hour and the guy didn't seem to know anything about that. He was trying to get my boyfriend's name and going to reserve an order, but said we could come back around 3 or 4 pm at the earliest. I was confused since on the site it says you can order it and it be ready soon. My boyfriend asked him if they can call if it's done sooner than 3pm, so we can know to come pick it up. The worker said that he didn't know if they could call when it's done and if we need a call or text when it's done to just order online. That's a little weird because I'm sure they can call when an order is complete. So we just decide to order online, since that guy didn't seem to know what's going on. We ordered through the website and it tracks everything. So we went and looked at Walmart and by the time we were done it said the cake was almost complete. We called to verify and it had another 10 minutes before being ready. While waiting we did get two of their pastries which were really good. Some custard filled pretzel shaped item and an almond croissant. Both were so good! I took off a star because the guy working could have been more helpful. Maybe he needs some additional training, so he can answer customer's questions better. The inside was clean, but the pastry cabinets were only about halfway filled when we went in and I'd expect them to have more variety of items and be full being that early in the morning.

I am grateful to OKC food writer Greg Horton for mentioning La Baguette as a good breakfast spot in a piece that I read recently. Our server recommended the crepes as a standout breakfast item, and they delivered. My companions ordered the crepes normandie, while I ordered the crepes parisienne. What a delight! I hesitate to order some breakfast items because I prefer mildly sweet things. I like pancakes and French toast with just a drizzle of syrup, and I only need a thin layer of jelly on my toast. This strawberry crepe was delicious! They put strawberries and whipped cream inside a crepe, folded it over a few times, and then mounded some more strawberries and whipped cream on top. No other toppings needed! I tried the crepe by itself and was delighted to find that it had a mild taste. The strawberries were surprisingly ripe for March. I needed treats for a party, and a quick Yelp search found this place nearby. Am I ever glad that the first place was closed, as otherwise I never would have found this hidden gem. It's owned by a mother and daughter team, with the daughter baking everything from scratch, on premises, as it is used. Like, the chocolate chip cookies literally came fresh out of the oven as I walked in the door. I ended up ordering a bunch of things, including some macarons, a muffin, some scones, some peppermint/candy cane cheesecake bars, and a bunch of chocolate chip cookies. Especially with macarons (which can be super expensive), it was ridiculously reasonable. Less than $25, which is a steal for all I got. Also, I ended up sitting and eating the muffin on premises. First off, the muffin was delicious. Often baked goods are sickeningly sweet, and this was not. It was a lemon raspberry, and it was the perfect combination of sweet and tart. I also may or may not have taken one of the cookies I bought for the party, and it was still ooey-gooey in the middle, and divine. We will see if they make it to the party intact, or if I have one with a cold glass of milk. The mother and daughter are so sweet and genuinely care about their business. They also do a lot of baking, and you can contact them for special orders. Also, there is a TON of free parking right out front, and they're open until 9pm most weeknights, AND they have a huge coffee menu. This is a hidden gem, and I think it's going to be very crowded very soon, so I suggest you get there now.
