The owner Amy was wonderful and hosted a donut making class for our group. The class was fun and the kids took home donuts they iced and sprinkled themselves ! My kids loved it. The donuts are unique both in shape (spoiler, they're square) and in taste. The donuts taste like a Zeppole with icing, which is not a complaint- just not what I expected. They are good. Amazing donuts here! I believe a Google review quote says the place has the best donuts in the State of OK. I got the hibiscus and strawberry milkshake varieties and they did not disappoint. Also the honey latte is incredible, and I'm always looking for honey flavored beverages but they are just incredibly rare. Squeee!!! Loved this! First I was very impressed at how serious they took the pandemic and Covid precautions. This matter is a great deal to me. They are currently only serving takeout and they do a really good business. Why? Because the food is awesome. It really is. We were there for breakfast on Sunday morning. They have a wide variety of things to choose from it and all are reasonably priced. The coffee isn't great but the food is amazing! (woodshed across the street is a great place for coffee if you're looking for one). They claim to have the best donut in town. We had to double check this claim of course. Pretty disappointed with my recent purchase from here. I went in and purchased macaroons (assorted flavors) and a lemon bar. The lemon bar wasn't bad, but wasn't spectacular. The macaroons were completely stale which I was pretty sad about. At $2 each I expect them to taste pretty decent but that was not the case. This is a great spot for breakfast! They had a little something for breakfast everyone. My daughter chose a doughnut and it was amazing; had the perfect sweetness and was soft. My husband and I both chose the meat croissant sandwich and we should have split one! This thing was much bigger than we expected. But it was absolutely delicious We both got an iced latte and the flavor in both was great. My husband got the iced chai latte and it was exactly how I always want one to taste. I was excited about trying this new-ish restaurant that is across the street (on the west side) from Baskin Robbin. Based upon the food, I'm mostly still pleased but I must say the excitement has complete passed). The decor is overstuffed chairs and nice tables and chairs in industrial chic. It is too cute. I was so thrilled to have found it. I mean aesthetically it will make any bougie person's heart sing with platitudes. I mean, it is the bougie-meisters Dream coffee shop - down to the cutesy pillows with doughnuts on them that even have the name of the restaurant on them. They also have a ton of different types of macaroons but I didn't try any of them. They were definitely inviting though. They do not have free (or any) WiFi for guests. That I find appalling. We booked a macaron class for my niece's bridal shower at Belle's Kitchen and it was a lot of fun and the class was well done. Aimee, our instructor, was very knowledgeable and gave us practical tips on how to make macarons (the French cookie not the coconut haystacks called macaroons). We essentially had the whole place to ourselves for our party. We ended up buying drinks there rather than bringing our own as they had told us that we could do. Aimee set out coffee and water for us and made a few really yummy lattes for those who wanted them. I wouldn't think twice to book another similar event here. The (former) executive pastry chef played a huge part in making Belle Kitchen (BK) such a great place. That's not to take away from Cheryl for all that she's brought to BK; it is her baby after all. But when Shelby Sieg left to become the executive chef of The Pritchard (almost two years ago), something changed. I assumed things would eventually settle, but I don't think Sieg's presence (or lack thereof) can be understated. The quality of pretty much everything that made BK one of my favorite places, has suffered a little (or a lot) since her departure. Both the doughnuts and macarons have declined in overall quality and flavor. The doughnuts really aren't all that great anymore. They've lost that beautiful yeasty softness to them, the sizes are all wonky, and on recent visits, some of the doughnuts were almost reminiscent of old fry bread. Which is maybe defensible if it weren't for the fact that you're biting into something that's supposed to be sweet. Also, the macarons are now crumbly in texture, and there's more of an emphasis on the overly colorful, cartoonish, galaxy-esque macarons than the original confections with their refined and unique flavors. This one is not BK's fault really. They're just following current stupid macaron trends started by... Guy Fieri (or whoever his pastry chef equivalent would be). Like, how are you gonna take something as la-dee-da as a macaron, and then have the nerve to add cereal to it? It's like adding a homemade spoiler to your new Tesla. This is why we can't have nice things. But BK does have a few things working in its favor: + They have breakfast and lunch options, and those are reasonably priced + Their customer service is still pretty good + They seem to be willing to try new things Honestly, Buzzfeed's "best doughnuts in your state" thing is not really something to tout, because: 1. I mean... What are the other homemade doughnut options in the running for this state? Nothing. Nothing good anyway. So bragging about being king of the hill, when said hill is a tiny mound sticking out of the ground, is silly. 2. That list is like two years old. The BK of 2015-2016 is not the BK of today. But I hope they figure out the magic that seems to be missing. I ordered the "Morning After Poutine" and received something very different than advertised. The menu on Yelp, Postmates, etc says the poutine is made with "hand-cut" fries and has Wisconsin cheese curds. The poutine I received had no cheese curds and bland crinkle-cut fries, reminiscent of frozen grocery store fries. It was practically tasteless. (The brown gravy was pretty generic, too.) So two wrong items in one simple dish. I messaged the business on Facebook and asked if the fries pictured were really hand-cut. They looked at my message and left it on read status with no response. The next day I messaged again and asked them if they wanted to take an opportunity to respond before I left them a review. Again, left on read status with no response. I assume they just don't care at this point. I just wanted an explanation of what I had received vs. what was advertised, but the silence is rather concerning for a business centered around customer service. We unfortunately won't be ordering again, nor would I recommend them to others. read more

Belle Kitchen was our 3rd stop on our OKC Coffee Tour. On the coffee side of things, our experience wasn't great. Ordered the "DragonFruit Latte" which looked incredible on the menu pictures, but then came in a cheap to-go cup without any cute foam designs on top. Honestly just tasted like hot milk with a hint of fruit. Can't complain too much though, because she gave it to us for free for my husbands birthday. HOWEVER! Stop what you're doing and go get their doughnuts NOW! My life is changed forever. Hands down, best doughnuts I have EVER had!! Got the Cinnamon Swirl and Espresso flavors. I don't get all of the accolades this place gets. For gourmet donuts they are definitely underwhelming. Ornate but innacurate glazes on square bricks of what taste like a dinner rolls. They barely taste like donuts at all. Not the soft, pillowy yeast donuts I know and love. Macarons more focused on bright colors over quality, thin and crumbly. Service is hit and miss. Owner is nice but workers trend toward arrogant. They definitely are in no hurry to help. I've been flat ignored by two workers deep in conversation after seeing I was standing at the counter. Dining room is shabby chic trying too hard, furniture uncomfortable, not charming. Shop was empty on the few times either I or my husband stopped in. Maybe people are catching on. read more

Belle Kitchen OKC is located in what feels like the very outskirts of the city. You walk up to what looks like an ordinary shop and then you immediately transition into a very enchanting and tranquil shop. The setting reminds me of some of the tea shops on the squares that I've visited when I lived in Savannah, GA. All of the seating is located in front of the shop by the entrance, scattered about are several square tables and mini stool tops and some very comfy tall back chairs. The only complaint I have is the large banner on the window showcasing them as having been voted for the best donuts in Oklahoma. As you walk towards the counter, you see the Macaron display off to the left and it's filled with over 30 different options. Very colorful and inventive. On the right, you have the counter where you order and that has the assortment of donuts to select. I showed up after 9am and the shop was empty and there were maybe 8 or so different types of donuts to choose from along with some other pastries. I wasn't sure if I had beaten the rush or if the excitement has started to die down. From my experience, the 3-year mark is a very important milestone for a new restaurant and usually the point where quality slips. it's very hard for a restaurant to maintain their standards when the newness wears off. I ordered a cappuccino $4.00 and a few donuts to try. The donuts were $2 each, but they were larger than your average donut shop donut. The cappuccino was your everyday run of the mill classic cap with a very thick foamy meringue-like head. The portion size was large as well, between 8-10 ounce and tasting slightly better than Starbucks. Belle isn't a coffee shop and I don't think they are trying to be so it's a pretty good cappuccino for a place like this. The donuts were definitely "adult" style donuts and they were not a hit with the kids. I actually enjoyed the contrasting sour yeasty base of the donut paired with the sweet icing. We had a classic glazed, a bright pink one (I forgot the name), and a honey peach? The flavors of those weren't all that impressive but then I ordered the Blueberry Lemon donut and I was blown away. That was simply one of the best donuts I've eaten. It was very tart and fruity, there were two separate glazes that you could pick apart and enjoy separately or combine. The lemon greeted you with an immediate tangy burst of citrus flavor with a very mellow blueberry. I should have ordered them all. Before leaving, we picked up a few of the Macarons ($2 each for the regular ones). They have a ton of flavors to pick from and they were very bright and colorful. The cookie was firm and crumbly but airy and light. The fillings varied and the Honey Lavander had the most intense floral taste that I enjoyed but might come off as very strong to some. Overall, I give them 4 stars but it would be closer to a 3.5 if possible. I think they've had a lot of success and from reading other Yelp reviews, it sounds like there have been some staff changes and other issues that they've been dealing with. I think they have a solid foundation to build on but I think they need to focus on nailing down the basics, even if it means scaling back on options. I have to admit I was jot a big fan of this place years ago, but it has grown on me quite a bit. The owner is super nice to talk to (are), and the food and coffee are actually very hire good. They take pride in the things they make and the prices are reasonable. I admire that unlike other places in town they have kept the prices reasonable during the pandemic and have not increased 20 to 50% like I have seen many places do. Speed is not their thing, but rather quality. Their lavender latte is one of my favorite in town, and their donuts are good. I am not sure if I agree with "the best donut in oklahoma", but they are good. The beetroot latte is actually one of my favorite things. Very out of the ordinary and very earthy. Do not go for it if you don't like beats. I like that things are made fresh and that they are made by hand, yet, they look good and not scrappy. I will keep coming. I like it better when the music is one even if it is just for takeout some music can really make the ambiance better. The 4 stars have nothing to do with food; it is more that the place does not look organized. I understand that it is hard to keep things neatly organized when you have an open concept, but some things could be out of sight of the customers by adding some dividers. Also, as they make things by hand, speed is sometimes an issue. But... give them a try. You will like their flavors! read more

Oy vey. Where do I even begin. As someone diagnosed with celiac disease, finding gluten-free food worth the find is a challenge. Unfortunately this place did not meet that challenge and instead added insult to injury with continuous disappointment. Absolutely zero gluten free donuts...on a Saturday morning. Moms, if your kiddos are gluten free I wouldn't risk it by trying to come here. My runner up options were the macarons, the size of quarters, at $2.75 a bite. In an attempt to salvage my trip, I ordered a lavender latte with almond milk. This latte at $4.75, that comes with no espresso which is added at $2.95 a shot, was utterly impossible to drink. It was so sweet (from the artificial lavender syrup) it hurt my mouth, and was plagued with bits and pieces of lavender plant that were not enjoyable in any way to pick out of my teeth. To top it all off I was actually charged for a cup of ice water. If only all of this despair had drawn my attention away from a floor that looked like it had not been swept since last year. I've been able to try Belle Kitchen's breakfast sandwiches and donuts on two separate occasions. I love their breakfast sandwiches, they're always delicious. My go-to is the croissant one, it's full of eggs, ham bacon, and sausage. I also recently had one on a "bakery made brioche bun" (Grub Hub wording) which ended up being an un-iced plain donut. Unexpected but not unwanted; can't say it wasn't delish. The donuts are also top-notch, I'm a sucker for a good yeast donut. At Belle Kitchen they sell their signature square brioche donuts with an array of icings. I tend to go for brown butter and lemon, both scrumptious. The missing star is for the first time I tried Belle, all of the donuts were dough-y in the middle. But I'll try them one more time so I can chalk it up to a fluke and add the last star. read more

I thought the donut had a very strong yeast taste to it maybe it was just the lemon donut itself, but it was soft and fluffy like a donut should be!!Macaroons were very good !! Especially the tiramisu I think a little more on the $$ side I got a dozen macaroons 4 donuts and 2 speciality drinks and it cost 37.15 ... yikes. Ever since Praicy M. bought me a variety-pack of macarons from Belle Kitchen for my birthday, I've been waiting for the moment that I'd actually be able to step into this glorious bakery and bask in its macaron-building and donut-crafting greatness! It finally happened a few weeks ago, and it was mostly everything that I had hoped for. Belle Kitchen has everything a chubby person needs to remain chubby. They've got a wide open space for groups and studying (supports a sedentary-lifestyle), their macarons are always on point (makes you want to adopt a sedentary-lifestyle), and their other baked goods are sure to make you question your life choices (e.g. "why did I go to school and not just learn how to bake cinnamon rolls? I could be selling and eating cinnamon rolls all dayyy). Customer service at Belle Kitchen is dependent on who's ringing you up, some people give a dang while others really don't. I'm assuming the owners are the ones who give a dang. When I stopped by, there was a younger lady who just sort of shrugged her way through my questions while the owner was busy in the back making treats and chatting it up with customers. Overall, good times to be had at Belle Kitchen. Expect to pay a bit more than what you're used to for desserts. I have to do myself a favor and not come down May Avenue as often as I would like. This place gets me into trouble. I came here last week to pick up some donuts for a friend's birthday, and I got the Hibiscus, Lemon, some sort of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and a Hot Chocolate themed donut, which was dotted with tiny marshmallows. I also made the mistake of having my toddler with me. So, I of course had to the the Belle dots, which are the donut holes, dusted in cinnamon and sugar. After we paid, we sat and had some of the tasty donut dots, and then my toddler spotted the macaroon case, filled with a rainbow of French Macaroons. After ooooing and ahhhing, we made a selection: Strawberry, Pistachio and Fruity Pebbles. Each Macaroon is a delicate sandwich of perfection, glistening in the light, and filed with a burst of favor housed by a crispy, giving crust. A-Maze-ing. I'm amazed at the places I've not heard about. Taking a break from my biscuit and gravy and taqueria tour, I ran across a mention of Belle Kitchen and their inclusion as makers of the best donuts in Oklahoma per BuzzFeed. I don't put much stock in those type of lists, but thought I should see what's so special. I'm glad I did. I love all foods floral, so I walked in thinking I'd try the hibiscus donut. The young lady helping me said the cinnamon creme was her favorite, and I love staff recommendations. I also chose a black currant macaron, and later went back for a lavender macaron. I can't say I've ever had a donut quite like this one. Forgive me if my description suffers. It's as flavorful as cake, but more yeasty, and it's more airy than dense. I balances between the two well. The sticky cinnamon creme icing was light and flavorful. I was impressed how it enhanced the donut without covering up the taste. I don't know that it's the best donut I've ever had simply because I don't know that this is actually a donut. Whatever it is, you need one. The macarons were delightful. The black currant was appropriately crisp, with good flavor. I enjoyed it quite a lot. But as I said, I love all foods floral, and the lavender macaron was no exception. While the egg, bacon and bread are wonderful, the dressed arugula is what made it a step above. 3) Croissant $3.00 -Delightful! HUGE in size, fluffy and drizzled with honey, Yumm!! 4) Macarons: Key Lime Pie and Cookies & Cream $2.00 per cookie/sandwich -This was my biggest excitement and fascination! (I've been trying to make these without actually having tried one..Crazy, right? But how many places make Macarons?!) WOW! These left me speechless initially. I stopped in at belle kitchen for some goodies for a New Year's Eve brunch. First, the service was fantastic and incredibly friendly. I was stuck between donuts (apparently the best in Oklahoma?) or cinnamon rolls, and was pointed to the cinnamon cream donut. I also sampled a tiramisu macaron (highly recommend). I ended up picking out a half dozen of cinnamon cream, plain glazed, and chocolate glazed donuts. They were a definite hit- not only are they gigantic, but they are delightfully chewy and not too sweet. They're the best I've had in Oklahoma, for sure! Opening the door of Belle Kitchen, I was greeted with the slight breeze of fresh dough and vanilla and a light "hello" coming from the front of the shop. There is a lot of room and two moms with their young daughters are sitting and talking, the two little girls running around a bit giggling at each other. There is a lot to choose from at Belle, they serve doughnuts, macaroons, ice cream, and other various pastries including a dish that's called the "Woah, that's a lot of stuff!". This place is perfectly kid friendly but I can also see it being a place where older ladies can come and catch up, or dates of all ages can occur. I purchased a few macaroons, and all of them are both unique and perfectly sweetened and flavored. The ones I tried were: tiramisu, hibiscus, vanilla, and honey lavender. Out of them all I actually liked the hibiscus the best. There wasn't much of an assumed flowery taste and instead the flavor was light and airy, kind of similar to rose water. I will definitely be back! The staff was friendly, the place was very clean and they had a lot of choices. Plus, the prices were excellent. This place is very trendy and fun. It has a laid back feel unlike many of the more hip spots in town. We were drawn here because of their award winning doughnuts. Upon entering, we were instantly drawn to the macaroons in the case by the register and decided we may also try out a few of those as well. When we first arrived, there was one customer ahead of us and when it was our turn to order, we waited a little while. It seemed they are short staffed. When we did order, the customer service was wonderful! We ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a chocolate ganache with chocolate sprinkles doughnut, and a cereal milk doughnut. We also ordered two iced coffees. We got the doughnuts immediately out of the case and when we tried them, were a little taken back by the yeast flavor. These are not your run of the mill super sweet and artificial doughnuts. They are old fashioned and very good, but different compared to your every day doughnut. Both the chocolate ganache and cereal milk were delicious. The cereal milk tastes just like it's title! The frosting is perfect. The chocolate ganache is actually more of a dark chocolate. My favorite of the two was for sure the cereal milk. The iced coffees came a little later and they come black so be sure to add cream to them! They are also wonderful and strong, just like cold brew should be. Pretty standard coffee, but still very good. As I write this review, my husband and I have been waiting now for over 15 minutes for the ham and cheese croissant. I believe it's because of the understaffing situation, at least for a morning time. Hopefully it is worth the wait. Stick to their bakery items in the case if you're in a rush or crunched for time. EDIT: upon receiving the ham and cheese croissant, I was unfortunately very disappointed. The croissant was good, however the menu describes the croissant simply as a breakfast sandwich with ham and cheese. It actually has egg on it. I'm not a fan of of eggs on breakfast sandwiches and I chose this sandwich over their sandwich titled "breakfast sandwich" because it stated it had egg, among other items, on it. They need to update their menu to reflect what you actually get. I'm bumping my review from 4 to 3 stars. read more

The macarons was horrible!! It was hard as rock! Never again! The donut was even tough not sure if these were all old batches or what. It's not worth the money. read more
