With the concept of "read books, drink coffee/tea, be happy" it is difficult not to fall in love with this friendly tea shop in Norman, OK. Every message is optimistic and uplifting as "life is beautiful and so are you." I love the concept of the tea shop and everything else built around this beautiful concept. The owner was so helpful. She will guide you through the menu as she has revamped it herself after taking over the shop 2.5 years ago. She renovated the shop into her own vision and it has never been better. The milk teas are of the highest quality. As an avid tea drinker, I could taste the tea flavors at Bahn Thai Tea. The Taiwanese Lavender Milk Tea uses oolong tea and I could detect oolong tea in the drink which I love. At other places, you couldn't because the milk and sugar would overtake the tea flavor itself. But not at Bahn Thai Tea, my friend, and that's a really good thing. The owner also gave me a complimentary Thai milk tea due to being from Tulsa and being a reviewer. The Thai Tea was good, but as a traditional hot tea drinker, I prefer the oolong based milk tea because of the impeccable tea flavors. I can confidently say Bahn Thai Tea is an exceptional tea shop with highest quality ingredients and a concept and message that the world desperately needed. I can summarize the entire experience up in one word: OBSESSED. The location is tucked away behind some construction currently but the interior is beautifully decorated. It's elegant, quiet, relaxed and inviting. The staff are equally excellent. They were all so nice and welcoming! It seems like a family owned business and I was greeted by everyone when I arrived. They all seemed like it was such a joy that I was there when in actuality they were the o es doing me a great service. They are very grateful towards their customers and it's cleat the customers come first to them. Now on to the most important part... the taste. When I first saw my drink I was mildly concerned it would be way to sweet, but to my pleasant surprise it was perfect. The milk tea is wonderful and the boba is some of the best boba I've had in a very long time. I bought the macarons out of curiosity and I'm glad I did. A lot of places have macarons that are way too sweet, dry and some even have a weird almost waxy texture. These macarons were perfect. The texture is the best I've ever had in Oklahoma. The flavors are wonderful, the cookie is moist, it's a good ratio of cookie to filling, the cookies are perfect in size for a snack, and not to mention how attractive they look. My only complaint is I wish I knew what flavors they were, although I didn't look so they may have had it posted in the case. Needing to get perked up this morning and found this place on Yelp. I super love small businesses like this. And even though I'm not Thai, there's similar cultures we Asians all share and the ambiance of this place, as small as the light fixtures, bring back memories from home. We were greeted by this jolly guy and he recommended the Thai coffee and the coconut jelly dessert. I'm glad hubby and I just went for it! Whooo! This coffee is STRRONGG!! The good kind of strong! And the coconut dessert is so good! I also got the chocolate muffin for the kiddos and it's gone in a few bites. I'll come here again in a heartbeat! Very beautiful and clean place. There's a large variety of flavors. Price is fair, $4.50 for a large milk tea or smoothie. You can taste a real tea flavor but it's just right to taste right. My wife has been waiting to try out this spot for a long time but we live clear cross on the other side of town. You can bet when she found the opportunity, she went for it! It's a really clean and modern space. The service was excellent and folks were very kind. We got a dual cup with maple donut on top. Coffees can not be served in a dual cup so we selected Taro and something non-caffeinated for my son. The only option they had with no tea was Nom Yen. It's a pink milk drink. It was pretty sweet and had a slight floral taste to it but surprisingly it was really good. My son was a fan! The taro was ok. It's not very sweet and doesn't have strong taro flavor but the boba is nice and chewy in texture. Donut is definitely kid-approved. We also got a pk of coconut jellies shaped like roses. Tasted just like pure coconut, lightly sweetened. Once we placed our order, we were told to wait in our car. They brought the order out when it was ready. Quick service. It was everything my wife had hoped for. She does dream of the day she goes back to try other snacks they may have prepared but that will have to be another visit, another day. read more

I first went to Bahn Tai Tea on September 29, 2019. They have the best tai tea in Norman. The place has always been extremely clean and the customer service has always been hands down the best around. Each drink is specially made to order. I have also gone back to Bahn since COVID. The quality has not change, but of course they have implemented CDC COVID guidelines. I do like the fact that you can sit in your vehicle, and they will bring your order out to your vehicle. I have been going to Bahn Thai for a little under a year now off and on. The staff is incredibly friendly and super helpful and informative on which teas to get as well as food/snack options that they offer. (Get the coconut jellies!) The prices are unbeatable, and the service is wonderful, creating an overall pleasant experience, even with all this COVID-19 stuff going on. The interior of the shop is calming and welcoming, and they even offer to carry out your order to your car via a contactless delivery tub. If you are a car person, or just want to meet people who are and try to get some ins with the local tuning shops, the owner is THE guy to talk to! Huge car guy and he parks his customized GTI outside every day. (Shown in the picture I've added.) Overall 5 stars. I would give more if I could, but for now it's the best rating I can give them. I love how cute and cozy it is, and it's very clean. You can literally come here and have a family game night or come in to do homework. We ordered the red plum punch, thai tea and a fresh milk tea. It was all delish! My hubby loves the red plum and I am definitely a huge fan of their thai tea. The thai tea was sweet and creamy the way I love it. It even had a milk foam on top. Next time I will try the double cup and take a huge tub home with me... the prices are worth every penny. They also have delish snacks there too. I bought some rice cakes and candy... it was delish! Did I say how clean this place is? Staff is super helpful and very friendly. We live about 40 minutes from this place, but I now know to stop by here anytime I am in town. Incredible Thai Tea! I ordered a regular my first time, I came back for a bucket of boba. They have a huge variety of drink sizes. Ranging from regular 16 oz, a split cup where you can get two flavors (including a free donut), or if you're in the mood, a bucket of boba! The owner does a great job making sure his customers enjoy a refreshing drink plus a warm experience. My friend says he likes how a lot of the decor comes from Thailand. It is family owned by a Thai family. This is perfect since his favorite beverage of choice is Thai tea. I was thrilled to find the Thai drink called nom yen at this Norman boba/milk tea shop!

I was next door at Mr.Sushi and saw that there was a local Bubble Tea store located next door and decided to check it out. Sadly the grand opening isn't until this Saturday, but the owner was very kind and humble. I was greeted with positivity and the owner was sincerely sorry that they weren't open yet. I can't wait to check it out this Saturday as Norman doesn't really offer good locations for bubble tea. Looking forward in hopes of a promising bubble tea shop! Update: The customer service was still outstanding and there is a variety of teas, smoothies and coffee! The employees were awesome with their recommendations. The service here is good, but sometimes not as quick as you would like it to be. The owner is so sweet and helpful, but she is sometimes overwhelmed since she is having trouble finding reliable help. If you're in a hurry and show up when the store is full and there is a long line of cups on the counter, you might want to go somewhere else.
