Even though she said the red curry and Szechuan will come spicy- they were not spicy enough for us. I actually like the flavor of my red curry. I have been to Bangkok and the taste came pretty close. The spicyness though could have made it way better. The Szechuan beef on the other hand wasn't good. The beef was tender but quite flavorless- felt more like a stir fry with plenty of soy sauce. The Tom yum soap lacked tanginess but it wasn't bad at all. The makis were fresh but not out of the ordinary. Seriously- I don't know what to expect so I am rating this restaurant the way I would in the US. I would give it a 31/2 Star if there was an option of star. Just for you tourist- dining tax here is 25%. That was our biggest shocker. The restaurant was reasonably priced otherwise.

The quality of the tuna, whitefish, and shrimp were all fairly mediocre. There wasn't anything wrong with them, but the texture definitely tasted very much like the quality and age of the fish were safe, but not extremely fresh. That said, the salmon was excellent. I think Norway simply does salmon better than other fish. The mouthfeel was smooth and the fatty flavors came through on the palate. My husband then said, well she told us to wait. He replies with, "She is a nobody here. Just a waitress. She knows nothing. We cannot seat you." We travel to a foreign country only to be met with racism! Asian group walks in and automatically turns us away. Thankfully this was our only bad experience in Norway.
