Food was good. Service was quick. Pleasant environment. Open everyday. Parking lot in front available. If you don't like spicy, just ask them to make it not spicy. If you like spicy, this is a great place to enjoy spicy foods. Good portions. Will be back!

My second time here and both times the Kung Pao has been great! They are so friendly and fast! Will definitely be back next time I get a craving

This is Kung Pao Chicken and it is amazing!

This is our new favorite Asian restaurant! We split our meal and had this leftover so servings are hearty! This is Kung Pao Chicken and it was the best I've had. The restaurant is bright and chic and has a great vibe! The service was exceptional as the owner came by and chatted with us. Our food was served shortly after we ordered! Yummy!

Stopped by for lunch with my mom recently. Having visited Sichuan House and Sichuan Garden on multiple occasions, it was refreshing to get someone else's take on Sichuan cuisine in San Antonio. We were greeted promptly as we entered and did not have to wait to be seated. The dining area doesn't appear to be big, but there were plenty of tables. After taking our drink orders we started looking over the menu. It was pretty comparable to the other restaurants I mentioned earlier. We decided on the spicy cumin lamb, walnut shrimp, green beans, and egg rolls. We did not have to wait too long for our food to arrive at our table. All the dishes were excellent and on par with what I have had before at other Sichuan restaurants. If I lived in this area, I would likely visit on a regular basis. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

I was sad to hear Dashi closed and needed a Szechuan food fix. So we tried Pings. it's nice and bright inside. Very nice staff. We started with hot and sour soup. I wish they offered cup size soup like other places. It was flavorful, but I really miss the pork others put in their soup. The dried fried green beans are very good and on par with Dashi. I enjoyed the shredded sweet garlic pork. A little spice and a lot of flavor. My wife enjoyed the walnut shrimp. Next time we will try out the memory game at the table.

If I could give Ping's 100 stars, I absolutely would! I don't live in the area, but I happened to be nearby today and decided to stop in based on the great reviews--and I'm so glad I did. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. The atmosphere is modern, welcoming, and genuinely the cleanest restaurant I've ever been in even the restrooms were spotless. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the visit even better. After looking over the menu, we asked our waitress for recommendations based on a few items we were considering. We started with the pork potstickers, and they were perfectly pan-fried, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For our entrees, we ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian chicken, and WOW both dishes were packed with flavor. Everything came out hot and fresh, and we loved that we could choose our spice level. I ordered level 1, which I personally enjoyed, but if you're sensitive to spice, it may even be a little too much for you! While both dishes were fantastic, our favorite was definitely the Mongolian chicken. It was incredibly flavorful, and the sautéed onions, bell peppers, and garlic added the perfect crunch. The portion sizes were generous, with plenty of meat, and both dishes came with a side of white rice. In total, for two drinks, an appetizer, and two entrees, our bill came out to $48 which felt very reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Even though I don't live nearby, I will absolutely be making the drive to come back. It is 100% worth it!

So nice having this yummy spot near by.... The pork pot stickers made an excellent app. My daughter got the spicy boiled chicken . This was really good. My husband ordered the classical Dong Po Pork. This is a good dish, however it was too sweet for us and wanted a little more spice. I ordered the Shredded pork with buns. I loved it. Great flavor. We all really enjoyed the combo fried rice...

Ping's on Evans was fantastic from start to finish. The service was warm and attentive, and it was a really nice touch that the owner came by our table to say hello. The Sichuan flavors were spot on--bold and aromatic without being too salty, and just the right amount of numbing spice. It was such a treat to get high-quality Sichuan cooking without having to drive across town. Every dish we tried was excellent, especially the cumin lamb, the eggplant, and the string beans. We'll absolutely be back.

Great food and authentic meal! The service was attentive and friendly. They have a great, vibrant and varied menu of spicy and non spicy dishes. Since it's Sichuan food, I recommend trying the spicy dishes. Everything was well-made and fresh. Would love to come back and try more!

Wow! I was not expecting to have such incredible food and service on their second day of being open! Everything we had was absolutely delicious! The dry fried green beans were charred and cooked to perfection with an incredible seasoning that just makes you want more! The shrimp rolls were a first for me and I was surprised by the sweetness of them but couldn't eat it fast enough. It was crispy deliciousness! The dry pot fish was freaking amazing! So many peppers! The batter and seasoning were perfect! We also had walnut shrimp and it was also incredibly flavorful and lightly battered and crispy. The place looks immaculate which we can all appreciate! You can really tell that there was a lot of thought put into every single detail. Even the chopsticks have Ping on them! The service was excellent and the owner was very friendly and seemed grateful. Honestly, if you don't try this place asap you are truly missing out on the most incredibly authentic food in San Antonio! Probably in all of Texas- that's how good this place is!

I had seen a Facebook post about @pingssicguankitchen so I realized they're already open. Tomorrow is the grand opening! We visited today to check it out. We tried their West Lake Beef Soup, Pork Soup Dumplings, Walnut Shrimp, Dry Fried String Beans, Classic Dong Po Pork. Dad ate quite a lot tonight. He loved the Dong Po Pork sauce. Sweet for the win! The meat was very tender and delicious. Everything was tasty and is made in-house including the soup dumplings. The steamed rice is high quality. Even the chopsticks is engraved with Ping's. Ping in Chinese means peace, and it's also the name of the owner. We met Ping when she came to check our table. I found out that she's from Chongqing, Sichuan. I shared my feedback with her. We didn't try the spicy dishes, which hubby and I will need to go back to try. Dad doesn't care for spicy foods. As you can see from our choices, there are non-spicy options. If you're in the Stone Oak area, you'll have to check them out.

Trying and reviewing a new restaurant a week after its grand opening can be a bit premature , but here is my best attempt. It's been over 25 years since we last visited the mainland China and have been looking for the perfect restaurant that best represents their amazing cuisine, and this one made a worthy attempt right out of the rice box . The cheese rangoons & dipping sauce were just short of one my favorite Asian appetizers that I've had, or at least in the top 3 of mine. Fried, cheese and sweet! The Cumins lamb and the Walnut shrimp went beyond the typical American duplication of these dishes and were closer to authentic than we expected. Due to a mix up in the kitchen, they served the cucumber salad at the end of our meal instead of first. My recommendation is that if you are on a first date, then skip this appetizer because the intense and overwhelming garlic flavor added will ensure you won't have a second one. The restaurant is clean, has nice bathrooms and ample seating. Nice touches to the plates, silverware and chopsticks which included the restaurant name and logo. We met the owner, Ping, who is originally from China, and was very friendly to us. By asking for our feedback on our overall experience is not only a positive gesture for improvement, but shows she wants to please her customers. If you can expand the drink menu beyond can sodas, and add Iced Tea (you know we are in the south and temps are over 100d even though you would never find it in China) and add a few more servers when business picks up; then I like your chances. Remember, " A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step."

Great experience from the beginning…read more I celebrated my mother's birthday there and I had to book through the restaurant since it was a larger party. Corina was absolutely incredible! She made the process so easy and planning events isn't my strong place. She was so helpful and never made me feel like I was bother. Oh my gosh, it was absolutely superb! *Chef's Kiss* We were the first people to arrive, which could have been a bummer, but it turned out to be a great experience. Our server was super patient with us since it was our first time there. She gave us some helpful tips and explained the menu items. She even answered all our questions! We started with the Famous Green Beans, the Garlicky Cold "Noods," and some chicken crispy dumplings. I'm not usually a green bean guy, but these were surprisingly good. The chicken crispy dumplings were a really cool twist on gyozas. And the cold garlicky "noods"! I could've had those all by myself and been happy. They were such a great way to start the meal. Most of the entrees are shareable family-style, so the portions are easy for two or more people. As we waited for our entree, I decided to try the Dashi Cooler for a cocktail. It was mellow, refreshing, and a bit tart, but it was a well-crafted drink. I also ordered another cocktail, but I'll tell you more about it later. Our entree of the Love Me or Hate Me Spicy Lamb Cumin arrived with a side of steamed rice. This is definitely a shareable dish. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The veggies that came with it were seasoned and cooked just right to give them a nice crunch. As we were working this table full of food, I decided to try another cocktail from their specialty menu. I chose the Purple Moon, which is their version of a French 75 with Ube to give it a purple color. It was done really well. I'd definitely order it again on my next visit. According to their menu, happy hour is every day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Overall, we were so impressed with our visit to Dashi that we were talking about having a birthday dinner there that's not for another few months. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu and cocktails. They're definitely a place I'll be visiting again!

The restaurant is small, but spacious and had a very open and welcoming feel. We were immediately seated and given time to explore the menu. We ordered the salt and pepper fish, kung pow chicken, and tofu with vegetables, bbq buns, spring rolls, and pork dumplings. The salt and pepper fish. You don't need anything else else. This was arguably the best fish I've ever had. It was perfectly seasoned, light, and crispy and was accompanied by some tender cilantro leaves and stems. I don't know what magic spell they use, but I'll never order anything else. I'm often a creature of habit with my orders and stick to what I know I'll like, but this surpassed my expectations. The pork dumplings were also incredible. It packed so much flavor and moisture in a small bite. The bbq pork buns were pillowy soft with a hint of sweetness and packed full of flavor and tender bbq pork. The spring rolls were steamy hot and crispy. Not as memorable as the other starters, but solid. The kung pow chicken was excellent. It had a nice kick and was cooked perfectly with just enough sauce. The tofu veggies were good (but even better the next day). The tofu was the right texture and the veggies were crisp and seasoned well. The friendly staff, the delicious food, and the chill atmosphere made for a wonderful pre holiday lunch!

I used Doordash, which I usually have pretty good luck with, especially when my son orders it through his own account. After waiting more than twenty minutes after the delivery time, I got a text from the dasher telling me to cancel the order. My son had already told me about that scam. You go into the app and get the support folks to cancel it, or it is called "customer initiated" and you lose your refund. Anyway, Doordash had the order redone and delivered with a new driver. Let's get to Sichuan Garden. I ordered from here because they had some "non- standard" offerings. I lived in Taiwan a while back and upon return to the US never acquired a taste for the supposedly authentic Americanized dishes. I ordered stir fried pork tripe and pork intestines in spicy chili sauce. I got a complimentary side of fried rice with each of them. I also ordered beef lomein for my son and 4 eggrolls. I tasted the lomein, and it was just okay. I have definitely had better. The egg rolls were "delivery soggy" but tasted fantastic. Can't complain there. The trip and intestine dishes were both delicious. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. The fried rice, though, was awful. I used it the next day to make a much more improved version at home. All in all, I like the food from Sichuan Garden. I am anxious to go there and dine in. There are some other "non-standard" items I want to try.

I ordered the crispy dumplings (pork) and spring rolls as appetizers, and the spicy noodle soup as my entree. My server came to take my order, and brought me the items as they were ready. The entree came out before the appetizers. The spicy noodle soup was spicy (as named) and it was good, but it was incredibly oily and the noodles were overcooked, so I didn't eat much of it. I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. I wish she would've checked in on me a bit more during the visit so I could have gotten more napkins and sauce. The service was alright. I wish I would've gotten checked on a little bit more, but she was nice and helped me pack my noodles to go. Overall, this spot wasn't terrible, but if I had to choose, I'd probably try another place.

You feel real comfortable & peaceful being in there I found them just by driving through the parking lot looking for Holy Pops for a Yelp Elite event. I wanted to try them out, & I'm so happy I did. They exceed my expectations. I walked in & was greeted by one of the waitresses, I let her know it would be a to go order, but I've never been there. She explained how things could be ordered. Steamed vs fried, for example. I regret not snapping photos of the menu, but they have one online. For that matter my food was consumed before a single photo was taken.
