Chicken Pad Wun Sen
Renée M.

Was craving their Pad Wun Sen for awhile now so I went after church. It was a little chilly so I was happy to get some comfort food. I double checked to make sure I had the correct order before leaving the parking lot and all was perfect! I had used Door Dash to pick it up & it was supposedly incorrect one time but I didn't notice it until I got home. Anyway, I looked at the fresh veggies, chicken & non-greasy glass noodles & I couldn't wait to dive into it! It was delish with a splash of lemon and freshly ground black pepper that I topped it off with. Veggies like crunchy broccoli, bok choy, carrots, red & green bell peppers, cabbage & bamboo shoots. Everything tasted fresh & no weird chemical taste nor old meat as in a previous restaurant where I had ordered the same dish. Ordering was easy & I was able to pick it up from the drive-thru window. Easy-peasy!! So glad for this convenience & location.

Chicken Summer rolls

I have been wanting to try this place for months! Especially since you can pick up your to go orders through a drive thru window! I drove up and asked the lady for a menu since I was driving and couldn't look up up on my phone and she was so sweet, she let me place my order right there and come back since I had to run an errand. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and what was gluten free, what used any seafood, and made sure to give the right recommendations. For the Service I give them 10/10 5* The food I would give a 4* The pho was good but a pinch on the bland side. I was expecting the broth to have more flavor but once you add your sauces and everything it's fine. The chicken summer roll was a 5* hands down! I usually never get chicken but my mother can't eat shrimp and we were sharing so I got the chicken and it did not disappoint! Very good! I didn't go inside but the outside is very clean and has gorgeous plants that definitely give that tropical vibe. I will go back and try their other items and keep you posted!

Vb egg roll, crab Rangoon

We love pho, we came to this place for the first time, and it was beautiful inside the restaurant. The stop was amazing and very sweet, but when the food came out, oh my God, it was mouthwatering. The Vietnamese eggrolls were perfection, the handmade every day crab Rangoon's were to die for and the pho was so big with lots of noodles and meat! We will definitely be coming back and it is now our new favorite place. Jenifer was our waitress who was in training, but the lead waitress was also so sweet and helping her. I never felt like people actually talk to you and make conversation before here.

Their interpretation of serving 6 pieces of egg rolls. 2 Burnt egg rolls cut into 6 pieces.

I ordered takeout and they burnt my fried egg rolls. The menu said six pieces and I got two egg rolls cut into six pieces. I should have inspected my order but I was in a hurry. My order of pho was decent. The did a good job packaging it for takeout. Next time I'll dine in to compare items with their takeout portions. I suspect a significant difference in quality and portions. 2 stars for my takeout experience.

Drunken noodles with chicken

For that cold weather we had to stop in and have some pho..... First time here and will definitely be back. The drunken noodles with chicken and a combo pho hit the spot. Flavors of both were spot on. The broth of the pho hugs you just right.

Best pho in SA! I had a handful of their dishes but I always come back for the pho! The atmosphere cute homey!

We had been the same area where Pho 4 Star on Evans before and thought to visit today for dinner. Dad had Limeade, Hubby had Iced Tea, and I had Jasmine Tea. We had wanted to try the Papaya Salad with shrimp, but they didn't have it, which was a bummer. Dad and I shared the Grilled Pork & Spring Roll. The generous portion was just right for us but would've been a lot for one person to eat. Loved their fish sauce so much that I asked for extra. It was very tasty! Hubby was very happy with his 4 Star Combo Rice Plate. One thing we noticed is they have Hot Pot. We'll have to come back in cooler weather to try that. We ended with the Mango Sticky Rice. The great news is that they're open 7 days a week. One thing unique is that they also serve Thai dishes.

Pho Combination

This is a nice little pho spot closer to where we live. Been here a couple times and each time it's always good. It's clean and always smells like good food cooking in the back. The service is good as well, drinks always get filled quick when running low. The pho and other menu items haven't been disappointing. Overall good food and flavor.

Check ya pho, that's not star anise, that's a dead spider.

We went there on a rainy day and caught them as they opened. The pho was spectacular and so was the lumpia. We will definitely go back.

Our visit to Flying Tiger Thai was a bit of a mixed bag. Some things were done very well, while…read moreothers just didn't come together. We started with the crab Rangoon, which turned out to be the highlight of the meal. They were folded into little pillows and fried to a nice golden brown. The temperature was perfect, and they were crispy without being greasy. The cream cheese filling was smooth and creamy, although I would have liked a little more crab. Still, a well-prepared appetizer and a good start. For my entrée, I went with the Panang curry and crispy noodles at our server's suggestion. I'd never had Panang served with fried noodles before, so I was interested in seeing how it worked. The chicken was thinly sliced, tender, and nicely cooked. Unfortunately, the rest of the dish didn't work nearly as well. The crispy noodles were hard and clumped together. There was very little curry sauce, which made it difficult to enjoy the noodles or even get a good sense of the curry's flavor. For me, the curry is what should bring everything together, and there simply wasn't enough of it. The plating caught my attention, but it also seemed to allow the food to cool off rather quickly. I appreciate a different approach to a familiar dish, but the balance just wasn't there. Service was friendly, but a little disorganized. Several servers came by to take drink and food orders that had already been placed. We found ourselves having to explain that someone had already taken care of us. When we asked for recommendations, our server quickly ran through her favorites, mostly naming items rather than explaining what made them worth trying. I would have appreciated a little more guidance, especially since her recommendation led me to something I hadn't tried before. The atmosphere was fairly ordinary. Nothing particularly wrong with the dining room, but nothing memorable either. With a name like Flying Tiger, I expected a little more personality. Overall, I saw some good technique in the kitchen. The Rangoon was fried properly, the chicken was tender, and the staff seemed willing to help. Unfortunately, the Panang curry missed the mark, and the service could have used better coordination. If you're visiting, the crab Rangoon is worth trying. As for the Panang curry, I'd consider skipping the crispy noodles based on my experience.

Walking in here reminded me of places we ate - the Texas sized Buddha made it easy to remember that we were still in Texas. The smells, the food, the service was very reminiscent of being in Thailand. Being Friday, we started with the potatoe soup (only available on Fridays). It was tasty even though there was nothing "Thai" about it. The large bowl fills 4 of the cups with a little left over. The crunchy wonton strips were hot, crispy with a nice sweet and sour sauce. The wife had pineapple fried rice, one of her favorites at any Thai restaurant, they did not disappoint. I had the chicken larb salad, medium spicy, and it delivered spice and the citrus acid from limes, very good. Portion sizes are generous. After the soup course, my wife and I are bringing about half of each entree for tomorrow lunch. Service was prompt and it's worth another visit, even at 45 minutes away from where I live. Pro Tip: scan the QR code at the table to get the menu. They don't keep their paper menus current with either prices or choices, probably the only knock I have against this place.
