I'm not really a beer drinker, but they did have Mango Cart and wine... Though it was only sweet wine. Why were the bathrooms cleaner than a lot of standard restaurants?! I was quite surprised. And the icing on the cake was the fireworks at the end. I can't imagine inhaling all that smoke is safe to do regularly, but it was quite the spectacle. I love supporting local baseball, especially the minor league teams. After having no Fourth of July…read moreplans, we opted 2 days prior to get tickets for a game. This was the best of both worlds for Independence Day - baseball and fireworks! Free parking and lots of activities for kids. Various concessions, but they lines were SO LONG and took forever. We ended up waiting until the bottom of the 6th inning to get food hoping it would die down a bit. Still stood in line for over 20 minutes. I'll say that the black bean veggie burger I got (with chips and cole slaw for $10.50) was surprisingly good. Bottled water could stand to be a little cheaper, $3.75 for one bottle. Their sound system definitely needs an upgrade. The female emcee throughout the night could not be understand on her handheld mic. The sound was very low. Anyway, the game was fun, fireworks show was worth it and there were ushers helping out all over the stadium. If you don't mind waiting around a little after the game ends, getting out is fairly quick. Fortunately my kids wanted to run the bases so that ate up about 20 minutes of us letting cars clear out.

There were heavy thunderstorms between 4:30 and 5:30 pm, after which the weather was clear and dry. After the heavy rains it is understandable that there would be a small rain delay in starting the game. The stadium was open by 5:30 and letting fans in. However, we were left sitting there until 7:20 pm without any prediction when the game would start (despite several announcements promising a start time). The only information we got was that we were certainly free to spend money on concessions while waiting. At 7:20 they finally announced the game would be postponed. This is a callous disregard for the fans, their time, and money. If the field was unplayable due to weather, or whatever the reason for the postponement, the Keys should not have wasted 1 hour and 20 minutes of the fans' time before announcing the decision.

We (Terrapins) had a pretty big lead, but UConn was not going down easy. It was a nail biter! What brought us here was a trip w/the AAU girls team. They were all excited. But yeah, there's plenty of parking; there has to be for a place this big. We parked a decent way back and walked up to the court with no problem. Oh, and parking is free. Make sure you don't have an umbrella or purse bigger than ......a big index card. They wont let you in. But, it's thoughtful of them to have a small trailer w/lockers outside in case you need to store something that can't go in. INGENIOUS! Of course the food is expensive, what did you expect? And don't think you'll be able to get 2 beers (one for you and one for your partner), because......... NO. You can only purchase 1 beer for 1 person. So, if you're doing the food & beer run, bring the other person or you'll just have to go back. The food options are okay; typical of the venue. The do offer Ledos pizza, which is pretty good. I also purchased chicken strips w/fries and dipping dots. Of course, leaving such a huge venue always calls for patience. They pretty much have it down to a science at this point. It'll still take you some time, but you're not there forever. I'd like to go back for another game. It's such a nice venue.

It was obvious the parking operation was in chaos, with attendants scrambling to redirect cars because paid and unpaid vehicles were apparently mixed together. Our ticket listed a lettered lot. The attendant told us that was a system error and lots are actually numbered. So the ticket we paid for in advance directed us to a lot that didn't exist as described. Great start. Once we finally parked, we found two lines stretching at least an eighth of a mile each. We picked the shorter one and stood in the rain for 45 minutes. When we finally reached the door, the event staff greeted us with visible irritation. We had been standing outside getting soaked for the better part of an hour and were met with attitude. The only reason we stayed was because of what we paid for the tickets. Inside, electronics go into pouches, which is fine. Except the pouches have no straps and no unique identifiers. Set yours down for a second in the bathroom and good luck sorting it out from everyone else's. A small but telling detail about how much thought went into the logistics. We left early to beat the exit crush and it still wasn't pretty. I don't care who performs here. We will not be back.

Introduction:…read more Representing 2nd of 2 from July 2023 in scrapbook series is Commanders Field. So, Washington Commanders have pissed me off for various reasons with the prior owner, Snyder. In 2023, I was feeling better about the Commanders with Josh Harris taking over ownership, but I know I was in the minority, Commanders pissed me off that they were going to move back to DC in 2030. I think they should stay in Landover and maybe make a few updates to the existing site. I would've been ok if they had decided to move elsewhere in MD or even out in VA. I just didn't want DC to get all the tax revenue. Why was July 2023 representing Commander's Field if that's not football season or even pre-season?: With the new Josh Harris ownership, they had a big welcome event and speech by Harris & various others at the stadium that July day. It was fun. I got a few free goodies there and met & got pictured with cheerleaders. It was a fun event overall. Prior times I was there, both in Redskin era: I attended 2 Redskin games in November 2014 & October 2016. At that time, I was rooting for them as that was the local team. They got destroyed in November 2014. I did get to enjoy their 1 & only touchdown. It was cold that day, but I enjoyed my very first NFL game ever in the nosebleeds with a friend. October 2016 game was a beautiful warm sunny day, and Redskins beat the Eagles. I was happy in 2016, but now I'm in a bird alliance. Ravens became my #1 team in 2022, and Eagles are in my top 5 NFL teams. My friend's dad wasn't able to attend with the season tickets they had, and he invited me. We sat behind the goal, which was pretty cool. I think the Commanders Field seats are adequate, and it's a good stadium. Granted, MY Ravens M&T bank stadium is quintessential 5-star stadium that I will be getting to 5 reviews from now in this scrapbook series. I say MY Ravens, but the fact of the matter is it's not really MY Ravens; not like I own the team or anything, but I do have a vested interest in their wellbeing with getting wins. It's unfortunate they are going to move to DC. Not the most outstanding stadium like M&T Bank Stadium, but still a good, solid stadium.

My father called ahead of time since him and I are both disabled (we both have handicap placards and my father has a permanent disabled license plate) He finally got ahold of someone and they said if we want handicap parking up close get the gold parking pass. I paid 200 dollars for parking. Yes, 200. Parking up close is VERY important to me.. Nobody was helpful in guiding us to the lot we paid 200 dollars for. Also, they told us when we got there there's no handicap places, we just have to go and sit on a blue bench and call a number for a golf cart to pick us up. I called the number 3 times and somebody did answer. They were nice but not helpful. We ended up having to give up and walk. No workers were helpful, and when we would try to flag down other workers on golf carts they would not stop for us. They did not even look at us The stadium is very outdated. It looks extremely industrial and not welcoming Very crowded Lines were long There definitely was not enough bathrooms or food areas to keep up with all the people it can hold However, I did enjoy the seats we had. I liked the view. And the field looks great. I will say, the bathrooms for the MOST part were clean for over 50 thousand people being there. I did see a toilet overflowing onto the ground though. But workers were taking care of it This stadium needs a huge update. Do not waste 200 on up close parking. It wasn't even that up close and nobody came and picked us up despite us calling and waiting for 43 minutes (the game had already started while we were waiting) Again, I do have to hand it to the woman on the phone who kept answering. It wasn't her fault and at least she answered. So, if you are disabled and can't walk far, plan accordingly Every stadium is different So always check their bag rules. "SEA-HAWKS !! ) My seats were absolutely marvelous and the crowd noise was deafening on every play. And the caveat for the day is the Commanders got their first victory of the year over the defending champs !!! The Stadium is beautiful, the employees are more like family members and the food is also tasty while watching my beloved team score TD's !!! The seating we have it usually varies this past Sunday we were in attendance for the commanders game against the Seahawks great win by the way fellas. We sat in section 104 row 17 seats five and six I believe those were our exact seats and the view was perfect everyone around us was perfect no issues even though there are attendants in the stands just in case something goes left... but all was good as far as I could see. I love it here I don't know if it's because I'm a fan but this game in particular it did rain and our seats are out in the open but our ponchos kept us dry for the most part. They do have suites available I'm not sure if that's just for season ticket holders but nevertheless go at your own risk. Ladies and whomever else decides that they want to take a large bag if any bag at all into the stadium there is a bag policy. Myself I carry about a coin size purse a crossbody and that's perfectly fine if you have a large bag it needs to be clear but again if it's something that you absolutely do not need then don't bring one just the FYI. I did get an alcoholic beverage as well as a bag of peanuts spent about maybe $40 on those two items total but again it was worth it. I mean they're going to get your money some kind of way so either you go there not needing anything to drink or eat or you go there and be ready to spend. Go Commanders!! Have fun and enjoy life :)

If you ever get the chance to participate in fan events, I highly suggest attending. The staffers from the referees and coaches to the players and event planners are awesome. Women of Washington is exactly as it sounds. It is the club for female sports fans. There are monthly activities which range from attending games, parties in the owners suites, fundraisers, blood drives and meeting players. If you are driving to the park and you are not familiar with the area, look up a route that will avoid tolls. Getting to the field can cost $3.50 to $10 in tolls, to nothing; if you are a skilled navigator. Go Burgundy and Gold!
