This was by far the worst contractor experience I've had…read more I hired Rick to remodel our closet with bifold doors. During the initial consultation, he agreed the design was feasible and promised the project would be completed in 3-4 days. Five days into the project, he suddenly claimed the bifold doors were not possible and proposed changing the entire design to cabinet-style doors instead. This should have been identified before demolition began, not after work was already underway. From that point on, I was repeatedly told, "We'll finish tomorrow." That promise was made day after day for 19 days. Eventually, after nearly three weeks of delays and little meaningful progress, I asked them to stop work and remove their tools. I then had three independent contractors inspect the work. Two of them told me it was among the poorest closet workmanship they had seen. The issues included: * Panels cut to incorrect dimensions * Cabinet pieces shaped incorrectly * Poor fit and alignment * Work that would cost more to demolish and rebuild than to complete properly In the end, I paid for a project that accomplished virtually nothing except leaving me with demolition and additional repair costs. The worksite was also poorly managed. Although I was promised a clean work environment, they created excessive dust throughout the room and garage and rarely covered furniture or flooring unless I specifically asked. At the end of each day, I was often left cleaning after them myself. Safety was another serious concern. My toddler found a loose nail in the hallway during the project. Thankfully we noticed it before anything happened, but leaving sharp construction debris where young children are present is completely unacceptable. As the project progressed, work slowed dramatically. Some days they only worked a couple of hours, and there were 4-5 days where no one showed up at all without meaningful communication. To make matters worse, after all of the delays and poor workmanship, I was asked to purchase my own cabinet handles to save them roughly $30. The biggest disappointment wasn't just the quality of the work--it was the constant broken promises. If the project had been honestly scoped from the beginning, I could have chosen another contractor before losing nearly three weeks of time. I have extensive photos documenting the progress from day one through day nineteen and will be uploading them so others can judge the workmanship for themselves. I cannot recommend this company.

After giving him half down, he came over, took a solar panel down and said he needed to replace it and then never came back or answered our phone calls, and it's been almost six months. Everytime I call, he ignores the call and never bothers to call back, but he has cashed the check we gave him. A family member called him to inquire about new work to see if he was in the business of ghosting everyone. He answered within 10 minutes. When she told him the real reason he was calling he made up an excuse that he was not in his office (he doesn't have an office, check his address on Google maps) and that he would call back the next day. Nothing, completely ghosted. Look for someone else as times are tough right now and people might be hard up for money to start pulling scam deals like this. Avoid this company when considering installation options for your flooring project. My partner and…read moreI had Ismael and his team install porcelain tile in our living room, stairwell, and the entire upstairs of our home. They were fine to work with during the install and we even gifted them a bottle of champagne to congratulate the arrival of one of the guy's new born babies, but we quickly realized how poor the quality of work just after things finished. The first thing to mention is that they offer a one year warranty on the work done, but this doesn't matter if they aren't willing to follow through on the solution. Specifically, we realized the edging on the steps immediately started coming loose, effectively cracking most of the grout, they did not finish caulking the baseboards, and within just a few weeks of completion, several tiles in the master bedroom came loose, with one actually breaking. Two guys were sent over the next week to fix the issue, but it was poorly done and the issue returned almost immediately, but worse. They also didn't address the baseboards. I reached back out to Ismael numerous times but got no response. A couple of months later, more tiles in the master bedroom started coming loose, most of the grout started cracking, and within 6-9 months, almost all of the tile in the front half of the master bedroom and part of the hallway just outside was unstable. It's as if minimal mortar was applied underneath the tile to hold them in place. Since we were still within the warranty period, I repeatedly called and texted Ismael to fix the problem, but he made every excuse to not help us (being sick, having too many projects, being out of town), and eventually stopped replying to me entirely. It's now been a total of two years since this project, which conveniently puts us outside the warranty period. Sadly, the problem has only worsened and progressed to other rooms. I finally gave up on trying to ask Ismael and his team to fix this problem after repeatedly being strung along with no intention of helping us, so I had no choice but to hire another contractor. As a result, we're having to pay a hefty sum for this work to be almost completely redone. We trusted Ismael and his team would do right by us, and am truly disappointed at the complete lack of professionalism and customer service. This isn't something we were prepared to handle again financially, but need to make sure our home's flooring is properly installed and safe. It took two years to write this review because I naively put trust in the fact that Garcia Infinite Flooring would eventually help us fix the entire problem. With this review, I want to ensure I can help prevent others from dealing with the same awful experience we did with them. Please do not be fooled by the very few positive reviews they have. There are likely only a few for a reason. Save yourself the aggravation and take your hard earned income elsewhere to a more trusted and experienced company.

And if you're into the professionalism and polish of a big corporation, All-Star Roofing has that too--from the folder-bound quote packet that comes with every estimate and explains everything from the company's background to the week's weather forecast, to the wide selection of products and services and the quality of work. Like every company, there were a few hiccups. They forgot some wire mesh on a small rodent-intrusion repair we did a few months back, and didn't get back out to add it for several weeks. And when we replaced the roof last month, they were a bit late on the first day of work and forgot to alert me. BUT, the thing that makes All Star different from so many other companies is their insistence on apologizing (sincerely), promising to do better, and fixing the problem. Customer service is a serious concern for them. Oh, and did I mention they are a great value? Terry drastically outbid two other companies for the roof replacement last month, and offered a better warranty. We've moved to Dallas, but if they'll make the trip up, we'll definitely be calling Terry about our next roof.

After meeting with Robert a couple of times, he gave me an estimate of $6000 for a new roof. I asked for a written estimate. He gave no breakdown of material and labor, never even the price of the shingles. I decided not to have him do the work and asked about the deposit. He sent several angry, some threatening text messages...including telling me that the tarp was $150 & that a tree branch he'd removed (I paid someone else to haul it after it was cut) was another $150, so I OWED him $100 ! Later, he texted that the tarp was an EMERGENCY REPAIR, which he charges $250 minimum!!! Threatened to bill me for additional money and file a lien (which he spelled lean)!!! Use at your own risk. See pic of the $250 "emergency repair"... a $10 blue plastic tarp. He kept adding on more costs ,as threats when I told him I would review on yelp. He apparently believes that he can just create prices, AFTER the fact, and threaten legal action. I believe it's called extortion.
