My new FAVORITE Mexican restaurant in Florida!! I really can't say enough great things about this place. The decor was really nice, the chips and salsa were spot on... warm chips.. tasty salsa. PACKED on a Thurs night! That tells you something. It's loud on inside,crowded,live music which may offend certain age brackets but I was fine with it.I was in a party of 5 ,place was super busy but in my opinion, service was as timely as could be expected. Wife had the shrimp dish,I had the carnitas,son had a giant burrito, everyone had enough to take home.Everyone liked the margaritas. Price may seem high(18-22 bucks) a plate,but considering proportions, well worth it.Spent alot more for less at other Mexican restaurants here.Im from the Chicago area where Mexican food reigns supreme.Dont expect the same authenticity, but you can expect great food with Mexican flare. Will definitely be going back,for sure.So much disappointment in this areas restaurants, this place is a MUST GO and time and time again. read more

Really good all around and big portions! Granted, I went on day three of it being opened for the first time, but still, great find! The shrimp I had was a bit underdone, but I give them a pass because of how busy it was and how there was like 4 parties at the time. The tortilla soup was good, but the star was definitely the carne asada. The soup came in a massive bowl, so beware!! Very filling!! Also the prices were very reasonable!!! My waitress was a bit shaky with her English, but we made it work. And it was kinda loud in there, but what do you expect with a full restaurant and like 4 parties? read more

ordered chicken enchiladas. corn tortilla was amply filled with chicken but there was no seasoning, no sauce, no cheese. on top of rolled enchilada was a sprinkle of cheese and a tiny bit of green sauce. when plate arrived the cheese wasn't melted and nothing on the plate was hot. it was very bland and ingredients didn't come together. husband had shredded beef dish and his was the same. not good. read more

Been there a few times at lunch. Always great menu selection and have my favorite #1 lunch deal. Went again tonight for great margaritas and a great chorizo cheese dip and cheers to the best bartender as well "Mathew" he went out of his way to make our visit spectacular. Four of us had dinner there a week ago. Food was no better than any other Mexican restaurant. One of us remarked that they thought Taco Bell was better. Price for what we got was standard for Mexican. Very noisy inside, had difficulty listening to others in our party. Was charge extra on the tip when I got my credit card statement. No big deal, just another negative. Too many other choices so won't go back. read more

Went on a Tuesday night with my family for a birthday dinner. Since you cannot call and make reservations or call ahead- we arrived at 6:15pm, we were quoted 30-45 minutes wait time. We waited, waited and waited some more- I checked the list multiple times with the front desk and was told soon, over 1 hour and 30 minutes later we were finally seated. The manager point blank told me she did not care that we were misquoted and this is how it will be the next few months. Not to mention as we were waiting a table got up after being seated because they were disgusted by their dirty utensils and plates given to them with their appetizer! So disappointed in this establishment and will NOT be returning. We were so excited for them to open but glad we have other options like Blue Tequila in North Port in which we've never had anything but a wonderful experience! read more

Exhibit A that the area could use more at least halfway decent places . A Wednesday night in July and of course the place is slammed . It's like a free for all . We put our names in anyway after being told 45 minutes wait as we decided to hit Aldi a minute awdd and grab some things . We were seated in a nice big booth and service was excellent - she was cheery with a great laugh . I wanted a 16 oz draft modelo but they were out of it . So I asked guy orca Dos Equis and got a giant 32 oz! Hey now - I ain't complaining . Our fajitas were pretty good - not the greatest but good . Nice touch with the mini carafe of house salsa and two bowls for dipping the generous amount of chips - nice touch bringing that out promptly - we'll put down the 45 minute wait for our food on the newness of the kitchen crew perhaps . It does make me wonder what's gonna happen here when the starving hordes return for season and it's a weekend night . It'll probably be like Mi Pueblo's 90 plus minute waits . Oh well - it's the return of MOMA (masses of Michigan Asses )!! That aside - this is a welcome addition to the area , nice vibe inside , cool , big menu ( not the greatest draft beer offerings - Bud Light? Is that even beer ?!), and prompt and happy service . read more

My Chile steak was like stew, my husbands tortilla soup was complete glob and his chalupa was served on a pita and was tasteless. This was going to be THE place for us after our first visit. Beautiful and huge layout with fantastic service. Every visit since has been more disappointing than the last. The service has become horrible - waiters spread thin with zero accountability. We've waited over an hour for our food the last 2 times with no explanation. At first, you make an exception, but it's definitely become a pattern. It's very popular based on original word of mouth, but quality of both food and experience has nosedived and is no longer worth a visit. read more

This has to be the worst food, not only Mexican, but the worst food I have ever tasted. A mushy bunch of cheese and grease. No texture, taste or flavor. Nothing fresh or crunchy - all the things foodies look for. Margaritas plain yuck. Sent back all of our food. It's a pretty place, but my money is it's a nail salon in 6 months. Chef should visit New Mexico, Texas or at least Colorado to see what real Mexican food is all about. This ain't it. read more

Ok, this place was pretty good! We are from Chicago and always searching for authentic Mexican which is hard to find down here. I wouldn't say they're authentic here but the closest I've found and best I have had! Not to mention the BEST service hands down I've found in Florida compared to a larger city like Chicago. The decor, atmosphere, food, drinks, all great. Fairly priced and delicious flavors. The guac bar that they roll out to your table is so fun! They gave us free fried ice cream for my moms birthday and they all sang for her. Great waiter we had who also made great menu suggestions. We will be back again and again!! read more
