Billed as Turkish-Greek, its decor is totally Turkish; the menu is mostly Turkish; and the women working there are Turkish - some not even speaking English if you have a question! We were greeted with the usual olive oil and warmed pita tips. Very nice. We chose appetizers and were not equally wowed. The muhammara was good, but served without more pita. Disappointing. My husband tried the stuffed grapeleaves. I suspect they were taken from a can, not homemade. I asked if they could grill the calamari, to avoid fried food. The chef kindly complied, but it needed more cooking. I'm glad other reviewers enjoyed their choices and had complimentary tea or wine.

I love that they focus on healthier options. For example, their cacao is made with dates instead of sugar, which is such a thoughtful detail. The coffee is definitely a 10/10 for me. I was able to get a walk-in even on a Sunday with only a short wait, which was a nice surprise. The parking situation is not the most convenient since the area can get very busy, but the atmosphere makes up for it. It's a great place to sit both indoors and outside, and the portions are very generous. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

I tried it again today by myself - I just wanted a matcha latte before a yoga class that I was going to. I feel like because I was just ordering a coffee type drink, they weren't showing me attention. Never filled my water. When I asked for update on drink after several min, they just told me 5-10 more min. Not very helpful or fast. The kicker was the "service charge" - I had planned to tip less tbh but they just added what they wanted right to the bill. There's a lot of coffee places around here so I probably won't come back to try the food. I just felt like a bother to the staff the whole time I was there. If you don't want people to stop in for just a coffee, don't promote your coffee so heavily on the signs outside. Cute decor

I've had pizza at a place that set up not far from here before & it was pretty bad so I wasn't expecting much from Bennette's. Never judge a book by it's cover - or area, in this case. The pepperoni pizza I had from here was tasty. The pepperoni was standard, cheese was not the fanciest but it did hold up well and had some bite to it & the crust had a great flavor and was actually crunchy on the bottom yet chewy on the inside. The sauce was okay, not the best ever in the world but far from bad. It didn't taste canned, at least. I liked it. Slices are cut slim on a large but still, two pieces satisfied. Wings were big & crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Had a split order of bbq & lemon pepper. Neither flavors were over the top but they were decent enough. I'll get hot wings next time. We had a special with a pizza, soda & ten wings for $21.50 after tax. Not bad at all. This is an independent, family run place so have patience when placing your phone order. There is no mood music and when they place u on hold, it's really just the phone being sat down on the counter while they handle other business. I was told my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes so I gave them 20. It was ready when I went to pick it up. There's no dine-in here and the pickup area is a tad bit small but manageable. I can't complain about Bennette's. Like I said, they are servicing a sorely underserved area and not giving out crappy pizza just because, so I appreciate that of them.
