Sometimes your body just waves the white flag and says, "Give me something sweet, but don't wreck my whole day." Playa Bowls is a great choice for that. Their menu is laid out across a big chalkboard wall, displaying all of their yummy bases such as açaí, coconut, greens, mango, banana, oatmeal together with nut butters, whey protein, and every fruit and crunchy topping you can dream up. If you're in the mood to shake things up, you could even blend a couple bases together. The North Miami team greeted us with a smile and handled the usual "So... what exactly is acai?" questions like champs while we waited. My only tiny takeaway was that the bowls are smaller than I'd envision. But honestly, they were still tasty, refreshing, and just right for one of those typical Florida errand-running days where you need a cooling energetic win.

Out of the 3 locations i've been to, this one is my favorite; I'm a regular. The playlist hitssssss! It's all vibes.

Banana tide bowl with bee pollen

What I got: Tide Banana Bowl Overall: Excellent! The price was surprisingly reasonable for Miami. Fruit presentation: Every fruit was chopped perfectly and layered beautifully--honestly one of the most generous portions I've seen for an açaí/breakfast bowl. Taste: The banana bowl was good, but for my taste, it had a lot of fruit. I'd probably choose a different type of banana bowl next time, maybe something a little lighter. Ambiance: The whole place has a laid-back surfer vibe; bright, fun, with adorable doodles on a big chalkboard menu where you can just point at what you want. I loved that it was also super deaf-friendly and accessible. When I'd get it again? Definitely after a gym session! it's hearty, refreshing, and filling. Will I return? 100%. I'm coming back to try other bowls and maybe even experiment with customizing a lighter banana bowl.

25% smaller portion of Nutella- Acai Bowl

Inconsistent... been ordering from them for 4 months almost everyday. For all this time bowls are smaller then it suppose to be most of them time. Today's order is 25% smaller than it supposed to be, and I decided to contact the manager again, so when I asked for the manager (because the girl on a phone had bad English) they just hang up on me after 5 min waiting on the line. It was my last order here!

Jack o lantern bowl

I really wanted to love this spot because it's super cute and I've heard a lot of great things about it. Upon walking in, it's very clean colorful and aesthetic. Ordered the jack-o'-lantern seasonal açai bowl with high hopes, but unfortunately it was not great. The açai was very watery with ice chips in it and the bananas on top were not ripe yet so they were bitter. Overall I did not love the bowl and probably wouldn't go back. Points for the staff though they were polite and happy to be there which always makes the experience better.

Honestly I'm absolutely in love with this place ! It honestly has the best bowls I've had , the service is always amazing , everyone is always super friendly , I almost never change my order because I love it so much , I get the açaí bowl with Nutella . The place is always so nice to come to the ambiance is chill , the bathroom is always clean , overall I love playa bowls and really enjoy this location so I would definitely recommend it .

This was our first time trying Playa Bowls and we were immediately hooked! I tried the Pitaya Dragonberry bowl and added bananas to it and it was incredible. We've been 2 more times so far since they opened only a couple of days ago The locations is clean, beautifully decorated, staff is friendly and again the bowls are super yummy!

Cold brew with no agave nor coco whip as requested/paid for

Acai bowl arrived almost 2 hours later to my house on delivery and arrived liquid/melted. I also ordered a cold brew and paid an extra $1 for coco whip in it with agave blended and they sent it to me stale and like it doesn't have anything mixed in it. It's very upsetting to pay extra for delivery and being sick/unable to leave my house/pregnant needing to eat this and paying extra for ingredients that when I called I was met with pathetic excuses such as "we no longer have coco whip available it was only for a season" bullsh** because other bowls and smoothies have this listed as an ingredient and they still have these pending on their website for ordering. So I was robbed of extra money for toppings they apparently no longer have and I made sure to let them know that that's unethical and that they should update their ordering website menu to prevent other people from paying extra money on already expensive Acai bowls/drinks for ingredients they don't have. It's about the principle.

Great food and service was friendly as always. Brand new location with the usual delicious bowls. Happy they are opening on this side of town! Ambience is great. I always love their decor! Worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for a fresh açaí bowl or smoothie. Parking of course is available inside the plaza.

Tropical Acai Bowl

Playa bowls is a new place that opened in biscayne Blvd. They have soooo many choices of açaí bowls and they are all delicious. The service was great. And in my opinion the amount you pay is great for the amount of açaí and fruit you're getting. Their bowls range from $13-15 dollars and they're very filling and delicious.

Coco Craze Coconut Bowl

AMAZING! It was my first time trying PlayaBowl and It was absolutely delicious. The options & possibilities are endless. You can have 2 bases if you are indecisive like me. I had the nutella acai with half pitaya and then i tried the coco craze half acai. Both so fresh, fruit is on point, not too sweet, perfect amount of fruit, honey drizzle and granola. Bowl range between $12-$15 and for the price you really get a lot. ( some places charge up to $16-17 and you barely get 4 onces) . The portions are big and will leave you full! Service is great, all the ladies are very helpful and kind, the decor is super cute and instagramable & most importantly, VERY CLEAN! cant wait to come back & try them all!

it's the goodie Goldie Mango without granola

I order from grub hub and it came on time. The base was good but the strawberries had a lot of pieces that were old and tasted rotten.

The protein was a little more noticeable than we hoped but that's just gonna happen sometimes.

I knew when I saw the 4.3 Yelp rating and hundreds of great reviews, this was the place !! And it…read moresure lived up to its expectations... actually, it surpassed them! The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I had been seeing a lot of great reviews about this place, so I was excited to try it, especially…read morethe tacos. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
