Crème Brûlée
Roula H.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Artisan Beach House. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. To start, the mojito was one of the best in Miami. The fresh catch ceviche was fresh, a filling portion, and those plantain chips are delicious. My dessert was the crème brûlée and it was divine with fresh berries. I sat outside overlooking where the bay meets the ocean, and they had a great live singer.

So, so, SO beautiful! Came here with some friends and we were all blown away by the outdoor seating and view. If weather permits, definitely recommend that. For food, I had the chicken pesto sandwich which was delicious and very filling. A decent sized portion, if you will. For drinks, I'd recommend the Miami Sunrise, SOOOO Yummy! Staff and servers were very friendly and tended to us right away! Our waitress was really, really sweet and nice. Will definitely return! Heads up- Valet is $15 but they were really quick about getting our cars.

Beautiful view from the restaurant.

The first thing you notice about this place is the view. You can't beat it. Even with the wind blowing we were able to walk along the terrace while we waited for the rest of our group and just soaked in the view. Our server was super sweet and gave us recommendations from the menu. She was patient when some of our group got delayed and never hurried us, which we greatly appreciated. The menu isn't particularly big but there's something for everyone, including an impossible burger, which can be hard to find at such good quality. We ordered lots of different entrees and all were delicious. The sides available included regular fries, salad, fresh fruit, or my favorite...sweet potatoes fries (yummy)! Their standard burger was flavorful and juicy. Both the girls who ordered the poke bowl raved about it. The menu isn't particularly vegan friendly but it is vegetarian friendly. The desserts all sounded so good but we opted for the cheesecake...a solid choice! Beautiful view, friendly staff and good food...the perfect spot for Sunday brunch with the girls (and a perfect unplanned end to our bachelorette weekend).

The artisan beach house was a great scenic dining experince at the very upscale "Ritz-Carleton" Bal Harbour hotel. I went here to celebrate my birthday and the service and views of the harbour were excellent although it was rainy when we arrived. We started with the guacamole and chips and it was very fresh and tasteful. For the main course I had the churrasco steak that came with delicious yuca cut fries. I had seen the chocolate martini on yelp and wanted to try it myself and it was pretty good although it could have been stronger. For dessert we opted for the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream which our server comped, since it was my birthday. It was on the smaller side, but very good. Overall I would return but hope they can expand the menu and bring back their brunch after COVID.

I absolutely love this place. This was my first time coming here. We really enjoyed the views of the water and the boats going by. I had the spicy margarita which was light and refreshing. My friend had the prosecco. Both drinks were incredible and paired nicely with our appetizers. We ordered the tuna tartare which was so fresh and delicious. The balance of the smooth avocado combined with the salty soy sauce and crunchy rice cracker was a dream. We also ordered the short ribs mac and cheese. It was so cheesy and had a nice crunch with the breadcrumbs. The short rib meat was succulent and it combined nicely with the cheese. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had Marissa as our server. She was very welcoming and made our experience extra special. This is a beautiful restaurant both inside and out. It is perfect for those on vacation as well as others who live locally. A great place to bring a date, friends, or family with a beautiful view of the water.

Main course: Salmon with Togarashi, avocado yogurt, crispy potatoes, arugula (originally a video of the plate)

A lovely visit to the Ritz Carlton during the holiday season. I was attending a champagne Gala but decided to meet a friend for dinner beforehand. Visited around 6pm just after the sunset, and dined in the patio. Started with a glass of white wine, while taking in the views. I chose the Canadian Salmon with togarashi, avocado yogurt, crispy potatoes, and arugula. I have to say all of these flavors meshed so well together. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was complemented by the cook avocado yogurt. This is a great place for an nice romantic dinner, with water views.

Went for a Mother's day late lunch/dinner celebration. The Artisan Beach House is inside the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Bal Harbor. This is a fancy and well served restaurant, ocean side, mostly visited by hotel guest and locals of the Bal Harbor/Surfside area. As previously noted the Artisan Beach House is ocean side so upon walking in, you can't help to notice the beautiful views of the ocean, pier and Haulover beach. Most tables are near the window but you can always reserve a special window just to make sure you get a site. There is also a small outdoor area to lounge. My Artisan meal: Mango Rum Runner- heavy Mango taste but wasn't thrilled thought it would have a more natural taste, It's a heavy fruity rum drink. $14 Butter Bread- buttered bread rolls, buttery but not enough flavor. Guacamole- hass avocado feta cheese, tortilla chips. Could use more flavor and more feta. $12 Lamb Chops- roasted eggplant baba ganoush, arugula, mint jus, tomato marmalade. delicious tender lamb. $43 Crab Cakes- Chayote and green mango slaw, piquillo sauce $18 Branzino-fish of the day, whole fish beautifully presented, light flavor. Charred Corn- Manchego cheese, jalapeno, lime. Good side, light. $8 Everything was beautifully presented of course but I felt like it needed more flavor on some items. The service is 5/5 of course at the Ritz, you can't expect less. Our waiter was too connected sometimes where you wished you had a little privacy but none-the-less, she did not skip a beat with her service and knowledge of the job. This is a high end restaurant and expect to pay hefty prices for food and mostly drinks at a Ritzy location by the sea.

This was my first Miami spice dinner of the year. My friend and I had the crispy Peruvian octopus, the burrata salad, braised short rib pappardelle, plantain crusted red snapper, the lemon cheesecake, and chocolate crunch torte. The octopus and pappardelle were amazing. And the chocolate torte was a good way to end the meal. Miami spice runs through September 30th, so I'm looking forward to a lot of good meals.

Excellent quality of food and preparation. Our five year old claimed these to be excellent fries . The burger was scrumptious. Easy to eat with one hand and nothing fell apart while eating it. The salmon and broccoli dish was also very very good. Service was amicable, the views were a plus and dessert was also well made. As a bonus, they have a cigar menu here, so if you're into that you can walk off to the section outside where they allow you to smoke and it's a beautiful place to enjoy a delicious cigar. Would come back for the burger and views.

Nice upscale service in a nice upscale hotel, that nonetheless sports a casual vibe, perhaps owing to its alfresco waterfront location. Mains and appetizers are delicious, but quite pricey, with mains ranging mostly from $30 to $50. Service is impeccable, but food can take a while to come, so make sure you are not in a rush.

Is this a good place for a 50th wedding anniversary? Is there a DJ On Saturday nights or will it be quiet?

No this is a quiet place. Great views but not really a celebration restaurant.

We were there for four nights and after three nights of not being able to sleep because of people having parties on their balcony several floors away and next-door to our room, we notified the staff. On that third night they said they sent somebody but they didn't quiet down next door and kept trying to come into our room through the adjoining door. We were assured the party had left and our fourth night was very quiet. Dallas said she would escalate our situation and that it was not acceptable. When we left, we were told that we received an email and we did not and that we were offered a ride to the airport which we were not, and we just left with a big bad taste in our mouths after choosing this property for our respite. It again it's a beautiful property, but the staff did not handle the situation and admittedly they didn't learn of the noise until the third night but we lost three nights of sleep and would never go there again or recommended to any of our friends. The only thing we ever offered was a soft pillow for that fourth night. Definitely not worth the money left the hotel with a bad taste in our mouths. As we were leaving, we were also told our situation would be escalated. Offering a ride to the airport for three nights of no sleep is not an adequate resolution. Not impressed!

We did get upgraded from an ocean view room to a coastline view suite and appreciated being able to choose between the two at check-in. Even with the upgrade, the stay didn't live up to expectations. The biggest issue is that the property feels dated and poorly maintained. In our room alone there was peeling laminate in the bathroom, likely from the tub faucet spraying toward the window, a shower that never got hot enough, and on our last day the closet door handle literally fell off. Not what you expect at this price point. Service was inconsistent. We walked into our room at one point and found housekeeping sitting on the couch. Valet was also frustrating since the parking attendant couldn't clearly direct us to visitor parking, so we ended up paying for valet every day. The hair dryer was low quality with only one heat setting. I use a salon-quality dryer at home, but even compared to some 4-star hotels this felt like a downgrade. Small detail, but it adds up. Food was mediocre and overpriced. A $22 piña colada mocktail was basically a slushy. Nothing we had stood out in a good way. The pool area is smaller than expected and not particularly nice for a resort like this. We were expecting more, whether that meant a larger pool, a second pool, or something more elevated. The beach was the highlight. Chairs and umbrellas were included in the resort fee and the staff there were genuinely warm and attentive. There was also noticeable construction noise and sound from the nearby bridge, which took away from the overall experience. The blackout curtains didn't fully close, which made it harder to get good sleep with a baby, and the balcony furniture felt minimal. Overall, this felt like fake luxury. The branding is there, but the experience doesn't match. Not worth the price and we would not stay here again.

We had beautiful Florida ceiling views of the harbor and bridge. We enjoyed Boat watching in the evenings. I really love the room so much, we are only here for two nights but you could stay comfortably in this room for a month if you could!
