So I believe that when ordering a smoothie or "healthy" item at a restaurant, it's important to see them using real fruits and veggies in your order..... and after walking through a few places while shopping, I stumbled upon this gem in Aventura and I must say I am so impressed with the quality and service in this restaurant. They are real on purpose and intentionally and I can appreciate that. They cater to just about most dietary needs and it's delicious.... A lil pricey but absolutely worth it. Excitement turns to disappointment .. I love açaí bowls .. it's my go to thing to get when I'm in the mood to treat myself .. so I was excited to see a place with that on the menu Couple of things wrong ... 1.I noticed as the employee (woman) was topping it .. she was pausing and slowing down to talk to another customer who she seemed to know and also stopping to help the other employee with the iPad. When making an açaí bowl.. time is of the essence .. so you should be topping it and getting it out immediately. It's supposed to be enjoyed frozen. This bothered me but oh well. 2. The ratio of granola to açaí bowl was way off. There was HUGE amount of smoothie and like three tablespoons of so-so granola.. the fruit was also sad and appeared to have been saturated sitting in its own liquid for a while - not fresh. 3. Almond butter was $1.50... there was literally so little almond butter on it that I could not see it .. not an exaggeration .. I even asked my boyfriend if he saw any almond butter on it and he said none. I was expecting a nice glob - atleast a tablespoon of it. What a rip off. 4. The owner bragged about everything they made - the granola , the almond butter, and even said how "amazing" what she just made me was.... can confirm.. none of it was amazing or even good. 5. This is prob the biggest qualm I have ... you are selling açaí bowls for $12 to the public .. you should know how to make one !! DO NOT PUT ICE IN IT .. I repeat ..DO NOT PUT ICE IN IT. I am a chef and make these for myself all the time .. ice is not needed and it ruins the smoothie mixture. The bowl should be THICK and creamy (a texture achieved by very little liquid, no ice, and frozen fruits/banana and even add ins like superfood powders). This açaí bowl was TASTELESS .. and the texture turned to a flavorless soup with some Icey slush almost instantly. There were also actual chunks of ice in it. It was so so so disappointing especially after hearing the employee or owner or whoever it was brag about how good it was going to be. A lovely place to eat if you're vegan and/ or gluten free. I had a beautiful salad and the PB&J shake. Although it cost more that what I would normally pay for these items, the salad was HUGE and very filling. I love that they don't use processed sugars as a sweetener, and can't wait to try the ice cream! Overall, a cute place to stop for a quick breakfast or lunch but is a bit expensive to be a regular hangout spot. *side note: If you're trying to be conscious of not using plastic this might not be the place for you. Even while dining in, you are given plastic cutlery, cups, and straws. The dressing for salad also comes in a small plastic cup. It's a bit sad that an establishment that prides themselves on natural fresh foods hasn't made the effort to limit their impact on the environment. The food is amazing and would have 5 stars if their drinks in particular were a bit less expensive and there was less plastic involved in dining here. The service was standard, a bit awkward as the workers didn't greet and resumed doing what they were doing. But it seems like they were prepping and fixing something on an ipad but a simple hello would've been nice! A lot of reviews seem to state the same where they seem preoccupied. The menu items are a tad bit pricey. I ordered an Acai bowl and I wish I would've seen the review that stated that it tasted like 20% acai 80% ice because that's a good way to describe it when I had it unfortunately. The bowl was HUGE but size doesn't equate to quality. Another "turn off" was that I paid extra for peanut butter and I guess the squeeze bottle they used hasn't been used in a while or was old and so it wouldn't come out properly. They took the old gunk out and then proceeded to squeeze but then it got stuck again and she just handed me the bowl. Came here with my buddy for lunch and was completely blown away. We had salad, avocado sandwich, and the dipped ice cream. Everything is super healthy including the ice cream with all high quality, no sugar ingredients. They also have coffee and kosher options. I also felt the service was really good, the people that work here are very friendly and attentive. They made really good recommendations based on my needs. In response to the "business owner's" response to my post, what an unprofessional response coming from a thief. They actually STOLE my money, $4.55 to be exact. This is not over a cup of coffee, this is over blatant thievery. The police were not laughing at me at all, as a matter of fact, if I had walked into their establishment and "STOLE" $4.55 worth of merchandise, I would have been arrested for petty theft. The police came outside and told me this said "owner" was being belligerent with them as well and if I wanted them to pursue getting my money back they would, but urged me to take the high road and just "eat it". While driving by, we saw a sign for Milk Gone Nuts and were intrigued by the name. Upon looking it up, we saw very appetizing menu items and decided to stop in. Wow, am I glad we did! We ordered multiple items from the menu -- both savory and sweet -- and enjoyed each and every one of them. On top of that, the customer service was superb. Both attendees were very nice, welcoming, and helpful. They made us feel as if we were regulars and even offered us a taste of the new golden milk drink they were working on. It was yummy! As a cherry on top, they made us a sample order of their penny pancakes so to share with our son. It too was very tasty! Try the mini protein pancakes, my son loves them and doesn't even realize they are healthy. My favorite is their Pitaya Bowel and Açaí bowels. Not only do they taste delicious, but their portions are generous compared to others in the area. Try the Lentil and Avocado quick bite with a little cilantro jalapeño dressing for a savory snack. I absolutely love this place. I always get the açaí bowls. When the ladies are there behind the counter they fill it to the top AS THEY SHOULD for the bowl is $11 each. My only complaint is that when they aren't there, and I've gone, and there's a guy my bowl is never ever ever EVER filled to the top as it should be and I just ask myself why? So o took off one star bc as an employee he shouldn't be lazy and half full it to do half the work. Overpriced and underwhelmed. Despite reports to the contrary, this location is open but my experience here begs the question, why? Why would you pay $68 for two wraps, some mini pancakes and a couple juices? Why would it take 40 minutes to prepare these items? Why would a juice bar offer numerous combinations of juices yet be out of our first three choices only to improperly prepare our fourth? There was a woman sitting at the front who did not speak when I came in she was busy on a iPad .and there was also a man who didn't speak. The cashier -at least that's what I assume she is , spoke and recommended that I try the matcha smoothie, in which I did because I love matcha. The price ($9 for 12oz)took me by surprise but nonetheless I paid because I'd been eyeing this place and I've always wanted to try their stuff. Unfortunately the smoothie was horrible. I've made better matcha smoothies with the same ingredients and it also wasn't smoothly blended. Yikes. Went in in the afternoon and they were missing so many ingredients listed to the point that they were turning away customers because they could only make juice with what they had left. We ordered and they made the three orders made after us before us. When I reminded them that we had ordered they offered us something completely different than what I had ordered.
