They have a sign that says "expert" tailoring but I'd say it's more like "good enough" tailoring because the patch work I got done was in fact good enough but certainly in no way an "expert" application. While I could have complained about it when I picked it up I'm ok with the good enough job since the shirt I'm using and the patch I needed applied would have been nice if it were placed with proper alignment but I'm ok with the way it was applied for my needs. If I'm ok with how it was applied why am I complaining? I'm not necessarily complaining but pointing out that this place doesn't have "expert" tailoring and I also didn't want to go without the shirt another week since I needed the shirt in the coming week. If my patch needed perfect accuracy for a job or something of a more serious nature I would have requested it be fixed. If you need expert tailoring I'd probably go elsewhere especially if you need patches applied to any article of clothing. Will I be back? Sure, for washing services only because if I need more patches applied I will most certainly be finding another tailor to do that work for me. This was my very first time doing business here and this review is my initial impressions and experience. Maybe next time a patch job will be perfect, sadly I won't allow a next time for patch work or any tailoring.

I'm transitioning from having a fast-fashion closet to a smaller capsule wardrobe with timeless quality pieces. Unfortunately, I have an unusual body shape that off-the-rack clothing looks a little off - and I can't afford bespoke. So I'm shopping for high quality pieces that are more expensive but bringing them in for tailoring as I can afford to purchase them. She is honest and will tell you if something will or won't work. She's even told me that the quality/material/craftsmanship of something was so poor it wouldn't be worth my while to alter it. It was more cost effective for me to just buy it new. And she was right! She also did my wedding dress - and she made me feel like I was wearing the most elegant and timeless piece I've ever owned. (It was a Carolyn Bessett-Kennedy inspired sheath.) Parking is in the lot next door in the auto repair shop but it's a bear pulling out when traffic is bad. She is very popular and has busy seasons but is very sweet and will accommodate you if you say you need something sooner. Very very highly recommended.

I had him shorten and hem a skirt and a pair of jeans, repair a hem, and the tougher one - shorten sleeves of a fancy jacket. He did the measurements quickly and took a week or so for the alterations (not long too to wait since I had the stuff sitting in my closet for about 2 years...) I'm sure he could turn around things quickly if someone needed something altered for an event or something. Do visit him and help keep a little bit of downtown Middletown alive!
