I had such an amazing time here with my sisters! I've had beet chips before but this was SO good, I can have that everyday. The theme of the restaurant is cozy farmhouse and it did not disappoint. We were seated on the second floor where we were able to see the trees surrounding the restaurant and the sun made it warm enough for us to thaw since it was so cold that day. It was my first time and I got the chai tea latte to warm up. I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was super delicious but I wasn't able to take a photo. Such a great spot - nice scenery, beautiful and delicious food +cocktails! There's a small furniture shop that has amazing pieces, and even a little farm area in the front with animals! Not to mention the food was so pretty. This place had such a unique experience with the large greenhouse style balcony for dining, would definitely recommend going in the summer! read more

Amazing business. Went today to check out the farmers market, then took a walk to see the farm animals. But the big enjoyment was getting our to-go desserts and mocktails and sitting at one of the many patio furniture. There was also plenty of fire places to enjoy in the evening. We have been vendors and customers at this Nu burger for over 2 years now . We have our pop up business in the Market. Today I had to rush to grab a lunch so I could get back to our table. I had 20.00 on me. The order came to 20.32 cents . The waitress asked her boss ( the lady on site) She said I needed to pay the 32 cents. We always order and they text us to pick up. I felt humiliated due to this and just quickly rushed across the market to the Bakery there ( great pizza over there ) anyway I got a lunch and went back to work there. Customer service is very important to business relations in so many ways . I hope this manager can eventually see this . No more Nu burger for me. read more

The meal here was so expertly crafted. I was seriously in heaven at how unique and delicious everything was. They took simple dishes and turned them into delightful plates. The menu here changes every 3 months but a few staples stay. The beet chips with goat cheese ranch dip is a must. I tried the white wine watermelon cucumber sangria with fresh fruits and flowers. We went on a Monday night and there was a singer playing acoustic songs which was so enjoyable. We spent time in the gift shop/furniture shop. There are actually cute pieces you can purchase (vs some tacky gift shops at restaurants, it was nothing like that at all). The shop was well maintained with beautifully displayed furniture set ups (pretty expensive but definitely some affordable items) Plenty of parking. Can pay with card. Casual or dressy. Can be a long wait without a reservation (we waited an hour + but did not mind as it was relaxing and pretty place to walk around near the restaurant) Definitely a must try!!! read more

Going to buck the trend a bit with this review. our experience was very mixed - great service and a wonderful place but a very indifferent food experience. Beet chips were outstanding, as was the fish, and lemon meringue desert. However the chicken sandwich, burger, fries and chicken entree were very disappointing. The burger and chicken sandwich were both overcooked and very dry and the chicken meal had vegetables that were raw and inedible. The fries were also undercooked as well. We love the farm to table idea, but in our experience the execution fell short. read more

First things first... the Beet chips! They were fantastic!! Best thing on the menu. Service was horribly slow. Took 30 mins just to have our drink orders taken. Food was not good at all. Had steak with the bacon jam. It was more like caramelized onions and bacon. Medium rare steak came it blue rare. Sent it back. Came back rare. There was no sauce for the steak, leaving it bland, but I guess the blood from the rareness would be a sauce. Carrots were very undercooked. I would not come back unless I would want the beet chips. The restaurant and location are beautiful! Why are they cheapening the place by having masking tape prices on everything? A large party got there 10 minutes after we did and we put in our order before them. After the waitress went to the kitchen to put their orders in she came back saying they were out of steak and my father in law had to change his order. Half of the big party got the steak my father in law ordered. My chicken was way too small for the price. The service sucked. There was 1 waitress for the upstairs and we were ignored for the larger table. It took us 25 minutes to get our desserts. It would be one thing if the pie slices were fresh out of the oven but they weren't. They had totally been made earlier that day. I would go back if I was going with a large group. What a beautiful place to have brunch on a Saturday. I made a reservation with Open Table the other day and luckily got a table. When we got there our plans changed and one of our guests had her daughter and kids join us. The staff were so accommodating. It took a little bit of waiting but then we moved from our place (table for 3) by the window in the veranda to another table, for 8. The food is excellent, tasty and served hot. I had the "early bird", but I was tempted by the quiche as well. Generous serving of food. Coffee is good and the wait staff are friendly and attentive. read more

Definitely out of the way, even on WWC week it was only Manatoba license plates in the parking lot. But well worth the drive. We had no problem getting a seat at dinner without a reservation on a Tuesday. Started with he Beet Chips, it was the first night that they had pizza as an appetizer cooked in an outdoor wood fired oven so we had one of those as well. For the entree we had the Hemp Seed Crusted Pickerel (we were assuming that was a fish :) Finished it off with a sour cherry cheesecake which was served in a short jar, not what we expected but it did not disappoint. It was all outstanding. Just visiting Winnipeg we are trying everything and I am glad we did. This place is worth the drive, when you find yourselves on gravel roads you are getting close. read more

Came here for brunch on a Tuesday at 1pm which is generally served until 2pm. Was told by the host that there was an hour wait for two people... And then we were not seated until after 2pm. We were told we could no longer order breakfast at this point. We noticed there were more open tables then there were occupied. I'm sure they only make you wait an hour for a table so you can browse and shop in there over priced shop. We ordered 2 over priced sandwiches (why is a grilled cheese with fries $14?) from their small menu. They did not even serve the bread that the sandwich was made with because the server said they no longer have it. We ordered immediately when we sat down. The food arrived wrong and not until after 3pm. The fries were cold, bread was hard, and was very mediocre. Service was terrible. Not impressed. I expected more from you pineridge hollow. read more

I loved (ED) this place. I go at least once every season, and every year for my birthday for about 10 years. Last year and this year, for my birthday, I came for my birthday lunch. Both times, there was a short kinky curly hair in my food. I'm beyond dissapointed and turned off. I'm very sad about this, it's one of my favourite places to go. I let management know and he took my creme brulee, that contained the hair, off the bill and took 10% off the entire bill. Didn't quite make up for it, especially when the manager said, "We do everything we can to avoid this situation. It happens no more than once every couple of weeks, but never twice to the same person." My mother said, "it shouldn't happen at all!" and when he walked away, we said it never happened twice because they wouldn't come back. So gross. Are they cooking naked in the kitchen? There is NO REASON that body hair is ending up in the food, especially as frequently as every couple of weeks. I can only hope that there is a hairy man in that kitchen that doesn't wear his shirts buttoned up as high as he should. read more

This is one of our favorite places to dine in Winnipeg! It is a great farm to table gem nestled in Bird's Hill Provincial Park. Experienced an incredible cheese board in the winter that had this West Virginia girl looking forward to a return trip. Unfortunately, with the seasonal menu changes they did not carry the delicious monk cheese and the house made cheese crackers were replaced with a poor substitution of ritz crackers. The beet chips are a table pleasing appetizer. Those that had the fried fish and chips were in 7th heaven. Serving sizes are plentiful but make sure to leave room for the amazing desserts! Being that we're from California I love my micro brew beers and pineridge always have a good selection of brews to choose from. I used to love this place, but the last 3 times we've had dinner or brunch it was worse than the time before. Will NOT be going back. I also purchased an item from the gift shop, they would not let me take the one off the shelf, made me take one in a sealed box, when I got it home and opened it, it was damaged. I had to drive all the way back (and it's not close) and then was given "attitude". I was not impressed and returned it rather than exchanging it as I had originally intended. On top of all of this a good friend purchased an expensive cabinet on a "pre order" sale and was told that it would be approximately 3 months for delivery, after 3 months they said 6 months, its been over 9 months now and on the rare occasion anyone calls her back (management conveniently never in when she calls) they keep telling her just another week or 2. she had to PAY IN FULL upon ordering so they've had her money for 9 months and Pine Ridge basically said she should quit bothering them, she bought it on sale so she should expect to wait. It's so disappointing that such a lovely place has gone (in my opinion) from a 5 star to less than a 1 star! NO LONGER WORTH THE DRIVE! read more

This is one of my favourite restaurants. I love the food, interesting menu and desserts are out of this world. I've been there for dinner but I really love it for lunch/ brunch, because who doesn't live to shop for high end furniture AND pet the goats after lunch? Sometimes service is slow, (hence the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) but I never go there on a tight timeline. Love to linger over coffee or tea.
