Three of us walked in all hungry. Pleasant staff greeted us and we did not feel rushed. After a beverage we ordered. I had a a club house on multi-grain and it came with home fries and coleslaw. Fantastic veggie burger! So I am passing through Selkirk on business, coming from Winnipeg airport and just about lunch time. The weather is perfect 22C and light breeze and I wanted a place outside. And there was Roxi's right on the main drag close to the river. Service was excellent and I passed on the fries so I had room for one of their homemade desserts that you can't help noticing as you enter. I decided on the veggie burger and was not disappointed. The menu is filled with many tasty options to satisfy everyone's differing tastes on any given day. Serving sizes are generous and the wait staff is friendly. Highly recommend the nachos. Beyond generous (serves two easily), plenty of cheese ( we asked for extra salsa and sour cream for nominal charge..thankful we did for amount of nachos), fairly priced and super tasty. Only problem we encountered was when we placed a "to go" order for 2 salads (my favorite is the one with cranberries, nuts & dressing they make in house). They stated it would be ready in 20 mins. We arrived 20 mins later and it wasn't ready. We did not receive our order until an hour after arriving there. The manager was very apologetic and gave us a gift card for our next visit. I was urged by my boss to stop at Roxi's the next time I was in Selkirk, and I am so impressed. The people were super sweet and attentive, the atmosphere was warm and simple. The food - oh my gooooooood. I had the Ukrainian platter, and everything was on point. The cabbage rolls were the best part! My partner had the fish and chips and was thrilled about everything on his plate. The fish was fried perfectly, the zucchini on the side was so good that we asked for the marinade recipe. Pleasant surprise! Staying in the area for convenience happened to stumble on this local haunt as our first night hungry got to eat location. Guess what! Absolutely my family's favourite place to eat in Selkirk! Great atmosphere, great service and awesome food! I'm not a vegetarian, but I looooooove their 'yo' not so typical veggie burger' best I've ever had! Their steak dinner is very delicious, oh and not to mention their 'hogwart sandwich'! Mmmmmmmmm! Oh and their chicken cranberry feta salad!!!! Amazing!!!! Roxi's also has a lounge that has awesome wings too! And if you are a vegetarian or needing to eat gluten-free. Well they have meals for you too... even desserts! Everything is homemade and made to order right down to their sauces. I dare you to go and not love it! read more

Nice little cafe with great food. The restaurant was packed and we sat in the lounge. Service was good but the food was a great surprise.

Roxi's was recommended to me by a co-worker who raved about this place, but personally, with the experience I had, I wasn't overly impressed. The food LOOKED good, but when I received my burger, upon closer inspection, I spotted a couple of mould spots on the bun and asked to change my order in fear I might get another mouldy bun. My server told me "the burger is still good, just pick it off". The atmosphere was ok, as in, the customers seemed to be enjoying each other's company, but the staff didn't seem too enthusiastic to be there. read more

Great food and fantastic service. Lovely family feel, best restaurant in town to get 'homecooked' meals. Breakfast is the best; try their Gingerbread butter on some pancakes! It's an awesome little thing that tastes fantastic among typical pancakes. Not exactly a fine dining experience, but it's a good family restaurant. read more

Friday evening at 7 pm we waited 10 minutes to be seated. Another 1/2 hour for our 2 meals, (a shrimp w/ fries & special of the day- steak w/ chefs baked potato). The waitress said they ran out of the sauce for the steak. I ordered a medium rare steak and coleslaw instead of the and red pepper and cauliflower vegetables. It seemed like other customers were getting their meals a lot faster that us. When the food arrived the fries were cold and the baked potato was 1/2 a potato. Eventually the waitress returned and walked beside us and I told her about the fries being cold and why were they serving 1/2 a potato instead of a whole baked potato. She rattled on about the potato was a chef potato and this was probably why it was only 1/2 a potato. She said she will speak with the owner about this as they received other complaints as well about this. When she returned she apologized and said there was a mix-up with the meal and they agreed that it should be a whole potato and she will bring out the other half. As for the cold french fries she said she will bring another plate of hot fries. I was close to finishing my steak. She came back with a spoon and empty plate and removed the cold fries from the dinner platter my wife was eating from and then she brought 2 napkins so my wife could wipe the ketchup off her dinner platter. Eventually the hot fries and a 1/2 baked potato was placed on our table. My wife was upset about having her dinner invaded by a spoon from the kitchen. I don't blame my wife as this is inappropriate to touch a customer's food after being served and partially eaten. Our meal was a disaster. We overheard the waitress apologizing to another couple at a table close to us that she served their food to and said they ran out of something. It was obviously substituted with something else. The woman at the table looking at her plate said it's OK, as the man seated across from her was starting to eat his meal. After we waited a long time for our bill we went to the cashier to pay and just leave. When the cashier asked us was everything OK, I told her no. I explained what was wrong. Another waiter who previously told the cashier what table we were seated at asked my wife if she received a fresh plate of fries. It is obvious that the other waiter was well aware of the situation at our table. He was sarcastic about getting a fresh plate of fries. He left saying have a nice evening. I told them I intend to go home and onto my computer to let everyone know about our experience. read more
