    Peach Milkshake and poutine
    Jennyfer A.

The ice cream here is pretty delicious. Some flavours are very sweet, almost too sweet. I liked my Monster Blue Ice cream cone with one scoop but technically 2 because they put one inside the cone which is smart and appreciated. The thing is that this ice cream is so sugary that I couldn't eat it all. I noticed that this place's ambiance is nicer to Canadians. I hope the local Manitoba people are able to stop by here and say hello once in awhile. I think new customers and new friends would keep business going and it would hopefully do some good. I like the old retro vibe. There's gotta be someone like me out there that wants to keep antique places protected. The second time I came here with a guy from Toronto and he kind of liked his milkshake, it was very fluffy but it tasted more like Peach marshmallow with a hint of mint then just peach. We both agreed the poutine was okay but the gravy was too watery and not thick enough. It made the fries very soggy but the cheese curds were delicious. If you like going back in time and exploring the retro culture, maybe your input will make things better, then stop by and check it out for yourself!

Very cool atmosphere that portrays an old diner from the 60's. The food was great and the service was fast and friendly. The only downfall is the menu, I would say there wasn't enough mains.. not even a burger. Prices were a little steep but overall a great refreshing experience.

    Cute piano in the entranceway!

Food, service and atmosphere here are all great. Their milkshakes are the best in town.

Food was disappointing, I had hot dog and fries. Weiner was almost cold, fries were too salty and I love salt so that's saying a lot.

This is the main restaurant located inside McPhillips Street Casino. The website describes the…read moredining experience as: "Michele's Restaurant combines the elegance of the past with today's mouth-watering food offerings. It's the perfect place to mix friends, food and fun!" I would describe it as: "paying hard earned money to line up for a buffet of bland hospital food." The menu was sparse overall. The service was lacking, and their wine menu could use some work. There were 2 selections of red wine, and the one we chose was sold out. No wonder why they make you pay in full before walking in.

It's very rare that I don't like anything at a buffet. I mean even at a crappy one I can usually…read moreeat something but this one was terrible. It's the restaurant located in the McPhillips Station Casino that serves up cheap buffet food - cheap meaning price and quality. I've actually dined here twice for lunch (not willingly) and on both occasions the food was gross. The dining area actually looks nice in a traditional sense but once you head towards the cafeteria area where the buffet is served everything starts sliding downhill. Hate to say it, but the food looks similar to hospital cafeteria food. Maybe hospital food looks better cause you think the sanitary conditions are better. I don't think things were actually dirty but sometimes buffets can give off this feeling that the food has been sitting here for hours and too many people have been poking around this food and that really grosses me out. The salad area looked kinda sad. The meat the carving station is usually not the best - one time it was this fatty hunk of ham. It was actually the worst piece of ham ever as it was unbearably salty. The side dishes seem to be sitting too long as the pasta was mushy. The rice was dried out and the veggies (which looked like those cheap frozen perfectly cut veggie mixes of green beans and carrots) had turned to a kind of murky colour. I think the only things worth eating were the soup because it was hot and you can't get sick from that. And the wide selection of desserts. Service was good as plates were cleared quickly and they were really friendly. But here's a tip, if you happen to find yourself hungry and confused at the McPhillips casino go to the McDonalds just past the main entrance instead.
