This place has everything nailed down for a diner: Great food with generous portions, affordable prices, and excellent service. I can't bring myself to fault anything about here because I can't find any faults. I've been to Nick's Inn a few times now and have tried different items, such as their bacon and cheese dog, double cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, and deluxe cheeseburger. All excellent, and I always include a coleslaw with my order, which has consistently been tasty. Their fries are so much that the plate that comes to you usually looks quite mountainous. Probably one of my easiest 5-star reviews I've ever done. Never change, Nick's Inn. read more

Ok, great home cooked meals. had hot roast beef sandwich with gravy, fries, and coleslaw. Just like I made it myself. Service was excellent. Just so happened I had breakfast there also and it was the same great service and the food was tasty, read more

This place gives a rainy day diner kind of vibe on the highway. They have food that meets expectations and hits the spot.

What a great way to start a day. Breakfast at Nick's. Being a sucker for the same old, same old, I went for the eggs Benedict and was not disappointed. Nice rich hollandaise sauce and the eggs were cooked to order. I also love the generous heaping of home fries. Service is always welcoming and friendly which is extra special as they always seem to be busy, but make sure you are doing okay. read more

Had lunch at Nick's today, cheeseburger chilli fries, coleslaw and a Greek salad. I enjoyed the cheeseburger, chilli fries, not that good, coleslaw sucked and the Greek salad wasn't great either. read more

Just go and enjoy some great food been going there for over 40 years never been disappointed

It's wonderful to see Nick's daughter, Vicki still working here and being at the cash register managing everything.(someone told me it was a father daughter diner). The waitress we had was very nice and sweet. I ordered a "Vicki's club sandwich" and what showed up was a ton of food but sadly mostly French fries. The French fries were not overly cooked which I liked. I love soft but slightly crunchy fries. The coleslaw was okay. The sandwich was tasty and filling but the portions were a tad bit small for the 18.50$ price. But I loved the delicious ingredients in the sandwich. Cranberry, cheese, bacon, turkey, tomatoes, and lettuce on a cinnamon raisin bread. Really creative and awesome idea for a club sandwich. It was very yummy! read more

It was my second visit to Nicks Inn on Jan. 29 2022 around 530 p.m. with a group of 7 with 3 first timers. Our server this time was Potoula and offered excellent service as we mentioned we were expecting few more and took a booth of 6 opposite the kitchen with an additional booth beside that held 3 more. Vicky is part of the Nicks Inn owner family and is one of the hosts that checks you rid and scans your vaccine card. My first time was in 2021 for a post birthday dinner celebration with 3 friends all who were regulars. I asked about what was good to order and Paul mentioned Eva his friend always enjoyed the veal cutlet which I then ordered from Ashley our server. Paul mentioned that many dinner menu items were complete with soup side salad on main plate with potatoes, vegetables and main meat entree. When it came both soup was hot and very tasty and Bertha mentioned veal was prepared fresh daily by her grandson. The desert I chose at the nd was the butterscotch sundae which topped off the great meal in positive I ordered this time based on recommendation from Paul whose friend Mike had the Roast Turkey Dinner Many of the dinner menu items come complete with soup on side on the main course meal. The chicken soup is homemade fresh daily and was piping hot and very tasty with lots of chicken and noodles. After my soup was eaten I got my main course and was asked before if I wanted cranberries on the side by Potoula. When it came the meal was hot with mashed potatoes gravy vegetables roast turkey which melted in your mouth. I was told it too the turkeys were fresh and cooked daily. The final part of the meal which you could choose form 3 desert types sundae butterscotch or chocolate or rice cinnamon pudding which I chose the latter. Bertha Ganas came by with coffee refills for one that drank coffee. Overall for my second visit matched the top notch service and quality of the food I had back In Nov. on my post birthday dinner of Veal cutlet. Despite being far from downtown Paul and his friend Eva like going to Nicks inn frequently for dinner. One last comment that on my first dinner visit Bertha has mentioned the Winnipeg famous Vardalos family with Nia has dined on occasion too. https://nicksinn.com is the web site to find the location and view their read more

VERY RUDE MANAGER OR WHATEVER HER TITLE IS!!, The food was gross fries looked and tasted hours old, the bread was stale, my partners order was completely wrong asked for a plain bacon cheeseburger and got everything on it anyways, was refused a small take away bowl to give my service dog some water, cited it was against health regulations to have a dog in the restaurant in the first place the "manager" then stumbled over her words when she was told not a pet service dog, we left never going back do not go here if you want good food or service read more

We have been going to Nick's for more than 25 years. They are still family run. The service is always amazing, the food is always super yummy and reliable. You can't go wrong here. read more

Excellent cod and mashed (only one scoop) with gravy. Came with tasty coleslaw and cauliflower. Was glad I didn't order fries today as everyone's plates were piled a mile high. The bean n' bacon soup was a well seasoned home aid soup. Topped off with ice cream this was a great special for under $10. read more

I always stop into Nick's when going to Winnipeg every time. It's a little out of the way of the city but not far from where I have to go every time I go to Manitoba. It's about a half hour drive from the airport. The food is typical of a truck stop but the bacon cheeseburger which I have every time going here is very good. Their secret ingredient is perhaps a spoon of chili which they put into it makes it complete. It comes with a healthy helping of fries on the side. I've not had but seen the western omelette breakfast sandwich and it has got to be made with maybe 4 eggs. Everything I've seen served is pretty much a generous serving and the prices are what you would expect. If I recall I believe they take cash only... good place on the way in or out of town west of Winnipeg. read more

The restaurant was very clean. I ordered "Nick's cheeseburger deluxe ", with side of gravy and s Sprite and ice water. Yes, the burger was juicy and overall good. Was it anything special to me? Not so much. In addition, they don't accept debit cards or credit cards. Have to pay extra at their atm to pay they're bill. That is a big negative for me and that's ultimately where the waitress's tip went to. read more

Nick's Inn - Nick's Cheeseburger deluxe with side of gravy, Sprite and water. Small burger, too much fries and flavorful gravy. Too much gravy too. - Diners Near Me - Headingley, Manitoba

Stopped for breakfast early morning on a weekday. Place was quiet but can imagine it gets busy on the weekend. Waitress was super friendly and service was fast. Hubbie had breakfast special and I had raisin french toast. Overall good however the sausages were not my favorite so would go with a different protein next time. read more

Very good food, very good service and very good covid protocol. Worth the drive to Headingly.

We're Manitobans and Nicks has beef a staple since the early 60's. Whenever we return it is a must stop. The Nick's Hamburger is an excellent burger. The added chilli makes it. Always a big order of fries. Great place. read more

This is your stereotypical greasy spoon diner; delicious food, excellent service, and good value for some home cooked grub! I almost always order a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burgers are seasoned well, and you need about 5 napkins to eat one! The fries are fresh cut and tasty. The servers come and go, but service is always consistent. Great pit stop on the way to The Peg! read more

Great local fare. Food is served hot and staff is very friendly. Owner is almost always on site since my first visit. The chilli used for chilli burgers is an excellent mixture. Prices are fair and resturant is always clean. Enjoyed regularly by locals. read more

Arrived for opening at 7:00 AM and ordered the "$5.95 breakfast special." I was NOT disappointed. I had scrambled eggs, 4 rashes of crispy bacon just the way I like it, real hash brown potatoes, 3 slices of rye toast with jam and the price includes coffee, which the lovely waitress did not wait to get empty before refilling my mug. Service was excellent with a smile. Meal, GST, PST and gratuity, 8 bucks all in for a huge portion just the way I like it. Set me up for the whole day. Hats off to Nick. He's still running a first class operation from up there. read more

Diner atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Weekday lunch of Hamburger Steak. Very good though the fries were a little over done. Always consider stopping here. read more

really gross restaurant business, very dirty and not well taken care of. Found ants at the bottom of my salad and watched it being prepared by a cook who wasn't wearing gloves. Awkward family drama was heard throughout the restaurant from the boss and her relatives. Saw a rodent run across the carpet and watched the owner hold bills so that orders took longer to be made. Overall AWFUL experience and will never recommend to anyone. I don't know how they are still open and not shut down by health and food safety critics. Eek! read more
