Twice my packages were too large for my mailbox and I was required to pick them up here. Otherwise, it will be my last choice to visit this location. My previous mail person would just bring to my door, not sure why that changed. It's not a major deal except I have to come to this location with the worst customer service. Both times after waiting in line to pick up the packages, I was instructed to go to the window. The 1st time I waited 30 mins then another 15 at the window. The second time was 15 mins only to be told to go to the window. No one seems to know what line you should be in... which ends in wasting a lot of time. read more

When asking if my clerk knew the answer to why my large packages weren't being put into my apartments large package mail boxes Peter interrupted and said "that's because people don't check their mail and I know that address we don't deliver to the door" I then asked why my Courier would be shoving packages into my box that don't fit inside to the point I have to fight with the boxes and end up breaking my items or the packaging just to get it out. Peter again told me "because people don't check their mail and we don't deliver to the door" this did not answer my question at all and does not excuse a courier shoving mail into a small box that does not fit. Probably the epitome of an a-ok post office. While they don't have all the bells and whistles of some of the newer locations (think self service machines), they move the line quick on the whole and the staff is decently friendly. I honestly am almost always ready to go with my packages. I usually just pop inside, drop it off at the counter drop area and head on out. When I do need help though I've always gotten it. I avoid high traffic times like early morning or lunch break times to help get out fast. Overall: B Could use a face lift and an automated machine, but they get the job done. read more

I suggest you do not do business here for any reason until management is replaced, the Dixie Village office on Delaney Ave isn't far. I purchased a money order from this location on 6/28/21, filled it out on behalf of my wife, and when it was returned to me because the service was not processed, I stopped by this branch on 7/16/21 and 7/17/21 to ask what was required for getting it cashed. The first thing they asked for was the value of the money order, because this location either A) does not keep adequate cash on hand or B) frequently uses that excuse to refuse service. I find it not credible that the office would be unable to sell a book of stamps because they couldn't make change for a $20 bill. A front counter clerk, Kim, used this excuse, without even bothering to check the validity of the money order. Her attitude was unhelpful and confrontational. If you don't want to do a job, just quit, it's just not worth the effort to make excuses, make the institution look bad, and make it harder on other employees who have to apologize for your failures. I'm more disappointed with the manager, Javier, who has a reputation as "not a customer service oriented manager" with his colleagues. He told my wife and I that he didn't have to cash the money order, because he "reserved the right" and that he was "not a bank". He suggested the money order could be cashed "anywhere", except of course, the location it was purchased from, and that it wasn't "worth my time" to talk to us about it. Went to the Dixie Village post office and got my cash in less than 15 minutes, with valid ID. They couldn't understand what was wrong with the people working at the Pine Castle branch, suggested they might be new or poorly trained. I suggest you not waste your time at the Pine Castle branch until everyone there loses their jobs. WOW, this Post Office does not comply with USPO Covid Policy. This is terrible, the person I spoke at the USPO at this location refused to provide his name and stated you do not know if he had vaccine or not. What am I to ask for their Vaccine card? He says he has worked there for 5 years, and complain to much. Well I do not appreciate my private mail to be delivered to other people. On a regular basis I receive mail that not is even close to my address. I requested a Supervisor, and his response he will end this call now. This is way President Biden needs to make it mandatory for Agencies that work for the US Government, or on their behalf. Terrible. Last Christmas they lost several packages we planned as gifts. The mailman stated he left them in the security box but the box was empty. We contacted the supervisor, Moses, who promised to look into it. A few days later they lost yet another package! Moses does not return calls, so we were up shit creek. Then, a few months ago, we started getting an alarming amount of mail addressed to a stranger. Again we contacted Moses, he promised to clear things up. He didn't. between my wife and I, we spoke to Moses in person or on the phone about this issue five times! Several months went by and tons of effort on our part before we found the addressee on our own. Still, to this day we get mail addressed to this person. I try really hard to keep my number of two-star reviews higher than my one-stars, which is difficult because a two-star is really a condemnation, but when I really want to condemn someone it's off to the one-stars. Post offices make for excellent recipients of two-star reviews because a.) they are always way to busy to be a good experience and b.) they don't seem to care. Pine Castle, as with most other post offices, is unthinkably busy any time you might possibly want to go there. Your second best bet is to show up immediately at 8:30 when they open. Your best bet is to buy postage online and hand the package or letter to your carrier. Or just drop it off at the office and leave without standing in line. The latter will anger the 25 people in line, but in my mind it's worth it. read more

Idiots working at this post office. The mail carrier who delivers to our building has a "hurt shoulder" so she doesn't bring any packages heavier than 5lbs. So our ENTIRE building does not get our packages and to make it worse she doesn't leave a tag for items she doesn't deliver. Called because a customer mailed out a money order which was ripped in half and when I asked what can be done the person who answered was super rude, first he said he didn't know like he did not want to help and when I started to ask more questions he said to me why would you even except a ripped money that's like me ripping a $100 bill in half, would u accept that? This post office has probably been open here since the dawn of Orlando. I usually end up visiting here around lunch. (oh boy) Most times this facility is staffed adequately if you can deal with 10- 20 minute waits. Today, there was no wait. Walked right in and up to a "teller"! Perhaps today s a good day to purchase a Lotto ticket too? For years now I have tried to get a perspective of the expected volume of patronage on a given day and well, there is no way to tell how "light" the lobby will be any given day. The counter help has always been either nice or at the least accommodating. For a monopoly, this branch isn't too bad. Always plenty of supplies and lobby (and parking lot) have always been large enough to handle the worst of volume days. read more

This post office absolutely sucks. A package I ordered mistakenly arrived there on January 21, 2019 (it should have gone to the adjacent LeeVista postal facility about 4 miles away). It sat at Pine Castle for a week, never moving or getting scanned, at least as far as I can tell via the USPS tracking system. I put in a case request to the USPS national website on January 28 (day 7), and one of the managers from Pine Castle - a person named Angela Sanchez - called me and said they won't be able to help me until it gets scanned again. She also sent an email with her phone number and email address. Well, nobody answers that phone and when you send an email to her address, you get an automatic email back saying "undeliverable". So, she provides you with two forms of non-communication. Incompetent jerk. I waited 4 days and tried the national system again, put in my case #, only to find out Angela had closed it. How the hell they could close it without my having received my mail, I don't know. So, it has now been 10 days (January 31, 2019) since the item was last scanned at their post office, and I am literally up shit's creek with these useless people. I guess I'll have to go down there and yell at them, but I'm sure they'll just look at me with a slack-jawed face and tell me there's nothing they can do. As I'm writing this, I'm waiting for the USPS national folks to call me...they told me they would call be back within 37 to 55 minutes from when I called them...that was 30 minutes ago. They have some good people working. The blonde lady Joanie and a few others are good people. I have seen them go out of their way to help if you talk to them one on one. Things that could be better, If management could be more bubbly or helpful. The manager I met seemed like she was looking for a way to get me out of there. When I introduce myself, it would be great if you could give your first and last name. It would be better if you could give some one a business card WITH A NUMBER or EVEN AN E-MAIL THAT GETS ANSWERED. Telling me to call to a public number that rarely gets answered leaves a lot to be desired. With the Pine Castle Branch being on S. Orange Ave and the Sun Rail almost across the street, the traffic has made it so bad I try not to go there during regular hours. That little post office has grown tremendously since I have been here in 1981. So has traffic and so has some problems. My route carrier does a good overall job. They get slammed. Here is an idea. More people are using e-mail and paying bills through e-mail. Why not have the USPS review becoming a internet provider. Get with it USPS. You could have an OPTION for a USPS .Com address to deliver your mail. EX: 2112 Mcphearson st 78723@usps.com. There is a way to do it if you really want to save time and money. You can still have personal delivered mail. This option has so many advantages. You can even get a receipt acknowledging the email too. E signatures are becoming acceptable. If Brighthouse and AT&T can do it, you can. The advantage there is if some tried to hijack my e-mail it could be a federal offense too. I'm not trying to bash anyone here. I know you have a tough job. There are other options as to how to handle some things. read more
