I had a very disappointing experience at Leslie's Pool Supply. Last week, I spoke with a manager…read moreregarding a filter I purchased that caused my pool system to stop running. He told me I could return it for store credit. When I came back today, I stood at the front of the store for several minutes without anyone acknowledging me. After repeatedly calling out for assistance, Joey finally came out. I explained the situation, showed him my receipt, and provided the filter. He immediately accused me of bringing in an old filter and repeatedly insisted it wasn't theirs, despite the receipt proving otherwise. A manager named Mary came out and confirmed that the filter was in fact sold by Leslie's, but she and Joey continued insisting it looked "years old." Of course it looked dirty--I had installed it in a dirty pool, and the entire reason I was returning it was because it caused my system to stop working. I explained that I had no reason to try to deceive anyone over a $56 filter, but instead of handling the situation professionally, Mary began yelling at me and even pointed her finger in my face. At that point, I started recording because the interaction had become hostile. She then told me to leave the store, even though I had been the one treated disrespectfully throughout the encounter. Eventually, they issued the store credit that another manager had already approved, but because of the chaos I wasn't even able to complete the rest of my business, including having my pool water tested and purchasing chlorine. I expect better customer service and professionalism, especially from management. Questioning a return is one thing, but yelling at customers and treating them as though they are dishonest is completely unacceptable.

NO. They sent me an email saying that I accepted…read more I do not accept. They changed over $300 to look at the obvious upgrades and sent a proposal. They ignored my request for repair of concrete steps and added expensive equipment replacement and duplication. They also advised overhaul of filter that had just been done by someone else. The inspector obviously did not look at it, just selling more service. AND, they do maintain their work or have pool service. The below was sent to them by email. I am disappointed that you don't provide the service that I need and you took my money for evaluation. It resulted in only stating obvious work and was just an advertisement for you to do the work. You don't do maintenance (that I thought you did) and you don't repair the broken steps. Also, you did not send others who could. Not happy about it. HMJ

I don't typically attempt repairs when it comes to water or electric so when my pool pump died I…read moremade some calls but being Christmas week I only got one company to even call me back. The company couldn't commit to a day to come and give an estimate. Then I saw a listing for the Pool Pump Guy in Longwood so I gave him a call on New Year's Eve and he texted me right back and asked me to send him a photo of my Pump. He told me how to easily and safely remove the pump from the filter and the power supply. I was reluctant to do so but he gave easy to follow steps and within 10 minutes I successfully removed and brought to Jay's shop. Turns out my pump was badly damaged from pebbles that got into my filter and pump. Solution: Jay ordered me a brand new pump and I had it the next morning at 10. Jay set it up in the shop with new gaskets, lube, and reconnected my power supply then gave me simple, safe instructions how to reconnect. Total time to reconnect the pump was about 15 minutes. Only needed a screwdriver to connect the wires. Powered up and wow! Everything worked perfectly. No leaks, no trouble. And the suction power is phenomenal! The pool system has never worked this well before! Jay is a genius at his trade and was able to instruct me how to do this myself, safely and quickly and saving me hundreds of dollars and a lot of time. I wish every repair business was as honest and helpful as this one. I highly recommend Jay for any pool pump!
