They gave me a tour of their facilities. 4 different studios, some heated some not. Their workout room has an armory of workout equipment that is extremely impressive, and the teacher is on a podium with the days equipment already setup so you know exactly what to get. One of their studios have aqua punching bags and was quite cool. Other Pros: -The locker rooms are clean, have showers, plastic bags for wet clothes, and plenty of towels. There's also lockers all over that have free to use locks. -The schedule is packed with classes daily so you really have a bunch of options to choose from -they have multiple types of membership so you can pick what fits your motivation and the prices are actually pretty good considering the location -there's evidence of community everywhere from their giant wall sized community board at the front to just smiling faces and conversation in the back Cons: -the website kept looping me to the front page even though I was already logged in. I couldn't update my personal information and kept getting error messages when I tried to do anything. -This is one of those places where the low pricing is mitigated by having hidden fees and confusing legal text. There's a fine for signing up for a class and not showing up or canceling with 4 hours of start time. The punch cards are also time limited. The signup for a membership has you sign a waiver that says you're responsible for canceling it 30 days in advance and you will still be charged an additional month. I get it, but it leaves a sour taste. Just be diligent with your plans and you can take advantage of a truly awesome gym.

I was shocked to find out Main Street pilates was able to completely remove both reviews (Guess I can't trust class passes rating system).This place is a public health issue, I am aware this is a political issue for some people, but our state has requirements businesses have to follow for public safety, and this studio apparently thinks it's about belief. I was surprised to see there wasn't a yelp location for Technique, but couldn't help but add one since this Studio is my favorite on Mercer Island. They offer pilates (group classes and personal training) as well as barre classes. Personally I have tried both types of group classes and have enjoyed a challenging, but fun workout experience. If you are debating I would suggest going for it - they even offer the first class for FREE. All the instructors are great and will customize even the class workouts to what your body can do/needs and the upbeat music and energy really holds you accountable so you aren't slacking (like I do when I try to workout from home and end up taking breaks or sitting down). The studio itself is located in a cute shopping center area with parking spaces in front that are usually available. Parking is free and pretty easy as well. For classes I would recommend checking out their website and booking online to make sure you have a space. Definitely a great place to workout at any starting level of fitness, highly recommend!!!
