Nice place. Have been trying new fitness things and took the 30 min TRX class today at the…read moredowntown location, they also have a location in gulf breeze. This place offer aerial pilates, aerial yoga, TRX, pilates mat, pilates equipment training and more. Friendly service. Always return phone calls and are patient with explanation. The downtown location is easy to find. On the corner of Palafox and Main street. Street parking. Nice layout, have merchandise for purchase. Nice yoga wear with brands like Onzie - they have some sale items too. They had tanks, crops, pants, capris, bootie socks, headbands and more. Kinda on the pricey side for my taste if the prices on the tag were accurate. After the little store area is the 2 workout rooms, the first area had the pilates machines. 2nd room for other classes like aerial and trx. This place does have windows- I'm not sure if pedestrians can see inside or not. Nice lighting. Very clean. Large cubbies to store your items. Our TRX teacher was very patient and supportive. The class was quick but intense enough for a burn. I really like how easy the moves were to pick up. I wished we had time to warm up a little before the class but we did cool down. She played music from her phone too. I live good music with a workout. Overall, I liked the class and the place. I hope to take more classes at either location. They did have group packages and offered discounts for military, teachers, and students.

I had never tried Hotworx before, but I did their free trial and immediately fell in love…read more The Gulf Breeze location is clean, well-maintained, and feels very safe, making it easy and convenient to work out any time of day or night. What truly sets this location apart, though, is the incredible staff. Nikki and Kailee are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They're the main reason I signed up! They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and supported. As a military member, I especially appreciate their military discount and how understanding they are about transfers and deployments. They make it easy to pause or cancel your membership without any penalties or extra fees -- something that's rare and really valuable. Highly recommend this Hotworx location!

Mostly loving it, with a few critiques. I've been coming to…read moreHotworx consistently for about 2-3 months now, and overall, I'm really enjoying the experience. There are some great things about this place. I Love the Infrared! I've been a big believer in infrared heat for over 10 years, ever since a physician introduced me to it. My body responds well to it, and it's been awesome combining it with workouts. One interesting thing is that because you don't always feel sore after working out in the infrared sauna, it can be hard to gauge how much of a workout you're actually getting--but I'm still a fan! And have felt some soreness more when I've had to skip some workouts in a week due to work demands. Working out in the heat, seems to help with my flexibility (not my strong suit!) and reminds me of stretching sessions I'd do at the Korean day spas in LA. Now stretching in the sauna a few days a week just feels good. I also appreciate how it activates my lymphatic system. I leave feeling calm - it's nice. The variety of workouts is a big plus. I can switch it up--cycling one day, Pilates the next, then maybe a HIIT or bun workout. I used to be a spin fanatic (to the point of injury), so I really value the chance to rotate workouts and avoid overtraining specific muscle groups. I've never been a gym person - after breaking away from spinning I really preferred to work out at home or in an intimate Pilates studio. Hotworx gives me the best of both: I get the privacy and independence I like, with the benefits of equipment in a sauna. Plus, I've never had to share a sauna, which is ideal. I don't want to bump into someone, smell their sweat (or vice versa), or deal with the distraction. I also modify a lot of movements due to my flexibility, so solo sessions work best for me. Nicky is a total doll. She's the reason I signed up--super warm, energetic, friendly, and made me feel completely welcome. She made a great first impression. Big shout out, woman! What Could Be Better: I was really hoping for reformer Pilates, but it's all mat-based. Personally, I think mat Pilates can increase the risk of potential injury. Also, a lot of the classes have you lifting your neck off the floor, which strains my neck personally, so I often skip or modify those movements. The saunas are a bit tight, especially if you're tall. I'm 5'7" and even I have to be careful about where I lay down prone to stretch out--my hands touch the ceiling when I reach up. Laying down can be tricky as I can hit the walls, and while I make it work, I do wonder how taller folks manage especially if you're sharing the sauna??? I find the rowing machines impossible to use. I have a rowing machine at home that's magnetic resistance, and I love it because you can change it. These are water-based and very high resistance. Also the handles are humongous and these are definitely for a man. It's impossible to grip and so you have to yet again, make another purchase for more equipment i.e. gloves. I'm not up for that and wish they just had practical handles in there that weren't hard plastic and get super slick when you're sweating There's someone at the studio who seems to feel the need to repeatedly remind me about how to use my towel "correctly" (even 1st thing in the morning when I'm sweaty and not eager to chat). I understood the message the first time--there's no need to keep repeating it. It's a bit off-putting, especially when I'm trying to focus on my workout and get centered before heading out for my day. The equipment: the mat, the towels, the mat carrier are all very expensive. I ended up purchasing resistant bands online because they were quite a bit less. They do offer military discount which I deeply appreciate. But I wish their required items that you use in the sauna for certain workouts were more affordable and accessible. You can rent them out from the vending machine in the back, but that machine also ate three dollars of mine so Just a word of caution. I'm sticking with it. I believe in the benefits of Hotworx--the detox, the mental clarity, the flexibility work, the workout variety. overall, I'm grateful for this unique workout space and the way it blends solo workouts with studio-level instruction. It's been a really nice addition to my health routine! It's a franchise for those interested in it; Cool model, I'm not gonna lie. They are also everywhere apparently! They're a growing brand and similar to other studios you can pay for a higher cost membership to get access to multiple studios. Helpful if you are on the road a lot.
