Has a lot of potential. Haven't taken the "coming soon" sign down yet and it's been a month si I…read morewould recommend doing that. This gym is great don't get me wrong, a great idea atleast. The only reason I cancelled is because you have to pay every time to have a yoga mat of theirs to do any workouts without machines. So annoying. You can't bring your own mat either. There is no "beginner", "intermediate", or "hard" levels. It's the same thing every time. It's always very empty and scary at night with all the TV's going at once. I tried to do other things that didn't require a yoga mat but the seats for all of the machines are so uncomfortable I couldn't even stand a 15 minute session. If this gym is for you, it's great. The idea of working out in a sauna is awesome. But, I guess it was timing. They just opened, had no water available, still working on some things & ultimately it just isn't for me.

The location of the Y was poorly planned. The building is small, parking is atrocious. It is a…read morenice facility, but for the increasing number of members, there shouldn't be a reason that you have to consistently look for non-peak times to get in a workout. The pool is TINY. Only 4 lanes with one being for walk aerobics. You usually have to share your lane with one to two other swimmers. You also have to walk to the pool from the locker room area next to the lobby. That makes absolutely no sense. The pool is also located in a glassed area next to the upper level workout rooms. So, be prepared for LOUD music being played while you swim and constant traffic from gym members. Front desk staff haven't been trained in customer service. No greetings, have their phones in front of them, when you have questions, they just point to self-service. Not quite sure why there needs to be a paid position for someone who doesn't seem to have a purpose being there. No way to improve on this except for moving to a bigger, better planned building and hire new staff or retrain existing staff.

I was fortunate to see Barbara Bruni, a Master Level Therapist. Certainly the BEST MASSAGE THERAPIST I have ever had! She was able to release the tight adhesions that compress and contort my surrounding muscles. She was also able to relieve many painful tender muscle knots, aka trigger points. She did so much work on me in 60 minutes, that this is the best Myofascial Release (MFR) massage ever! She is highly skilled and her massage techniques provided me great relief from the agonizing pain I suffer. Barbara is highly knowledgeable, she listens to your complaints and understands your body! She is so intuitive that her magic hands instinctively know where your body is having pain! She is certainly "Master Level." She listens to your body and understands body mechanics. She knows how to keep your body aligned and in balance! You must go see her! A heartfelt thank you for fixing my very "broken body." I highly recommend Barbara Bruni, her quality and skill shine thru!

Energy was pretty good, could've been more technical destruction by the staff and a little more individualized attention since there are only four of us working out. Id go again.

I LOVED IT. The owners, Fallon and Lex are the nicest and most awesome business owners {AND coaches} that I think any athlete could ever ask for. The gym is kept very clean (I have visited many boxes, and know that cleanliness can definitely be an issue), but not here. Also, the coaches go above and beyond to make sure that you feel at home - there's never really that awkward moment when people don't know who others are, so its intimidating. CFVU makes sure to make everyone feel welcome, no matter their level of fitness or familiarity with CrossFit. They also make sure that they check up on you if they haven't seen you in a while - they personally take time out of their day(s) to follow up with you and make sure everything is okay. You can't beat that. They also offer a sweet Yelp deal for checking in, and they offer military and first responder discounted monthly rates as well! The only CON I have about this box is the open gym times - since they are very closely knit with the owners and coaches, they cannot run open gym as often as I'm sure they would like (as well as you as a potential athlete here, would like). However, that is something I came to live with here, and I'm sure if they decide to add more staff and coaches later on, that the open gym times may increase. Not really make or break, at least not for me! I LOVE this gym, and I was super bummed to leave, but I had to move out of state. An amazing box, and super beginner friendly :)
