The waitress was so slow and disorganized she sat us then we waited while she fooled with her money and waiting on the counter forgetting about all the tables she just sat. She took our order and we watched as she brough the other tables their drinks while we waited. Our party of 3 stopped by last Friday night after the music festival had ended. Piezanos had both an indoor dining room and a carry out window. It was easy to place an order however the wait was extremely long. We ordered 3 slices of pizza and mozzerella sticks, our order came out to be over $40. The man taking our orders was clearly under stress as he was angrily shouting and yelling at both customers and his staff. While waiting for our food we found out the people waiting alongside us that had ordered whole pizzas had been waiting for 30+ minutes. Our food came out after about 15 minutes but unfortunately the slices tasted & looked quite burnt. The crust was insanely thin and it did not taste good. The mozzerella sticks were overly breaded and cold in the middle. I ended up throwing it all out. Piezanos although in a convenient location, lacks both good customer service and good food. For boardwalk pizza it's probably ok but I might look for different food in this area. Nothing I've found on the boardwalk is particularly good. I think the whole area takes customers for granted since they are mainly tourists and it's hugely crowded during the season or events. My wife & I visited Piezano's for dinner in late Oct. most places on the boardwalk were closed but, lucky for us, they were open. Their pizza is delicious as are their wings & chicken tenders. Yuengling on tap topped it off for me! The service was excellent & the atmosphere outside on the boardwalk was exactly what we were looking for. Hit up this spot on the boardwalk after arriving in OC relatively late. Most other restaurants were closing at 11p but Piezanoa was open and still seating customers. They have a to go line and sell pizza by the slice so customers have options. Our table ordered a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni; and the Piezanos club with fries. The pizza was hot, the beer was ice cold! The club and fries were good too - sandwich was made with Texas toast style bread so it was questionable whether or not it would be good. Vibe was very chill. We sat outside and watched the people walk by and enjoyed the ocean breeze. The reason for a 4 and not a 5 is because, although the place wasn't busy, our server disappeared on us. We watched as another server checked on her table a few times while ours dropped off our food, didn't check on us, or anything. Bummer! read more

It was decent pizza. Served quickly and with a good location. If you are looking for a really amazing slice then you probably shouldn't be eating on the boardwalk at all. The salad is pretty bland... classic pizza place salad... weirdly sliced carrots, iceberg lettuce, etc. When it's hot outside they have umbrellas but the indoor seating is obviously more comfortable... although the view is worth a little heat.
