Boxes of Pierre Herme along with the other chocolate brought home.

We paid several visits to Pierre Herme in Paris and this store in Covent Garden to sample all of the flavors of their macarons. The last visit was to pick up several dozen for the flight back to San Francisco. After selecting our assortments the staff carefully added a second holder on top to secure the macarons for the flight. The people that we brought them home for said that all of them arrived perfectly. Thank you to the staff for their wonderful macarons and excellent chocolates!

I've had many very nice macarons (Pierre Marcolini, La Madison du Chocolat, etc), and these were the best I've had. The macarons were beautiful and heavenly. I normally don't allow my eyes to guide my macaron choices because I tend towards coffee, chocolate, almond, and other flavors that are very beige in color. However, the macarons were so beautiful here I decided to take a walk on the wild side and try something new, and they managed to be as delicious as they were beautiful. One was the celeste, which had passionfruit, rhubarb, and strawberry, and then the other was rose (I tried rose because occasionally there are some rose undertones in raspberries that makes me very happy). FYI, I also tried some of the my more typical, and they were equally amazing.

Best macarons in the world, especially the passionfruit one with a chocolate ganache in the middle. This shop is in Covent Garden, and well worth a trek to come here. Skip Laduree and come here instead! I've eaten at the Pierre Herme in Tokyo several times (at the Itesan department store basement and also at their standalone shop that serves pastries and more than just macarons). This particular store in London pretty much just does macarons and chocolates. Some of the flavors are staples (Passionfruit & Chocolate, Rose, Chocolate, Hazelnut, and much more), and some others rotate in seasonally. When I went, I got the passionfruit & chocolate (I always get this one), a chocolate, and a lemon flavor with a little bit of chocolate in the middle, which was light, refreshing, and unique. You can't really go wrong here - just come and be dazzled by all the colors of macarons and different flavors, and make sure to pick up a few.

Can't go wrong with flavors like these! Seasonal so the gold leaf not in stock yet.

You can't beat macaroons or chocolate from Pierre Herme, granted it's not the Paris location. Super Friendly staff, lots too choose from. Simple small store front can't wait to see the France flagship. Comparison to Laduree. Hands down much better flavors.

Despite the recession, apparently, we're eating out more than ever. Perhaps, we take solace in comfort eating during tough times. I'm constantly amazed at the prices we're now paying for artisan chocolate and posh desserts like macarons French legend Pierre Herme has been moving into this London market with a shop in Belgravia and another in Selfridges. This third branch opened near Seven Dials in Covent Garden opened at the end of last year. It was a perfect location to pick up some gifts for some foodie friends. The shop oozes class when you walk in with their famous macarons and chocolates out on tempting display. The class is also relected in eye watering prices but with individual macarons costing £1.90 each, it's in the same ballpark as places like Laduree What Pierre Herme does have are some interesting and unique flavours like foie gras and chocolate and also white truffle in their truffles. I love foie gras, so it's no surprise that my personal favourite flavour is the foie gras and chocolate with the rich, dense foie being offset with rich sweet and slightly bitter chocolate What is irritating though is that not all the macaron flavours are displayed, necessitating me to ask the shop assistant about every single flavour that wasn't displayed. Thank goodness there weren't other customers waiting to be served or there would have been some impatient huffing behind me They had also run out of small boxes, so my gifts had to be put into plastic bags. Otherwise, the cheapest box would have cost £25 Fantastic tasting macarons without doubt but pricey and a few flaws in the shop means a 4 star rating

I've tried macarons before in many, many locations in the United States. I just never took a liking to them....I realize now its because they just weren't good! Pierre Herme was recommended to us by a local Parisian (our first taste of Pierre Herme was in Paris) but then we came here to the one in London shortly after. We were told that Pierre Herme is still hand making all their macarons while other famous macarons bakers have gone to machine produced macarons. Pierre Herme have the BEST macarons I have ever tasted. I actually can say I LOVE macarons now. We tried a few flavors but my favorite flavor was the salted caramel. The filling is fluffy and the texture is perfect. It just didn't have that overly sugar/granulated taste that I have come to expect from other macarons. Pierre Herme change their flavors based on the season so I saw that they were beginning to introduce their Spring flavors although it was still winter. You can even go in to purchase just one macaron if you would like. There is no "minimum" or anything like that. I found out here in the London location that they also sell chocolate. The salesperson gave us free samples of their chocolate which was equally decadent and delicious. I wish there were some in New York City so that I could get them more easily. But until then, I can say now that I actually do love macarons!

**** 4 1/2 stars*** Probably the best macaron I have had in my life (so far). We were walking around Covent Garden and came across Pierre Herme. I'm a sucker for macarons so we decided to go in so I could purchase some. It's a small yet classy shop. It's simply decorated and it is clear that the focus is on the macarons. They have a variety of flavors and the staff will be happy to tell you what they are offering that day. I decided on the rose macaron and my husband chose the chocolate passion fruit macaron. The macarons at Pierre Herme at perfection. Light and airy cookie and flavorful. However to me, the filling was the star. It was so creamy and rich in flavor. Other macarons I've had, the filling gets lost but not at Pierre Herme. It's not surprising that Pierre Herme is originally from Paris and they only have locations in Paris, London, and Tokyo. They are also on the more expensive side as far as macarons go. However, if you like macarons, you must definitely give Pierre Herme a try.

Being born an heir to four generation of patisserie makers and starting your career at age 14 means you have a good start into greatness. And Fast forward to 2016 we can enjoy this greatness in full swing. Visiting the Boutique on Monmouth street I was welcomed by a sophisticated display of colourful macarons, strongly resembling a jewellery shop. With brightening eyes I picked three macarons: White Truffle & Roasted Piedmont Hazelnut Slivers, Milk Chocolate and Passion Fruit and lastly, Candied Chestnut. All the flavours were beautifully executed but it was the texture that captured my senses. I am no macaron expert but I was not expecting this small confections to be so delicate and subtle. It was a truly exquisite and calming experience - It was well worth spending some extra time to savour it. I am quite keen to return in the near future and try some other products because this attention to quality is a real gem. Pierre Hermé is an undisputed icon in the world of sweet delights and if you consider yourself part of this world - I am probably preaching to the choir here.

Pierre Hermes was my favorite place to grab macarons in Paris, so I was quite delighted when I found a location in London as well. Known for their innovative and unusual flavors, Pierre Hermes never fails to surprise - or so I thought. The flavors in this particular shop were lacking of many of the popular flavors they usually have. Instead they housed various seasonal flavors (yogurt + something) and the monthly flavors. But just a heads up - the 7 macaron box does not actually fit 7 macarons tightly. It really could fit 8 so there's space to roll around and them to get squished :/. The packaging was so lovely and geared towards tourist though! It had pictures of all the iconic London landmarks as well as PH and his fabulous macaron. Flavor Recommendations: 1. Jasmine: A silver colored shell filled with white chocolate ganache infused with Jasmine tea. Just lovely lovely flavors and perfectly delicious. If you only wanted to buy one - this is the one to get. 2. Orange and Yogurt (Seasonal): A blend of citrus and a subtle hint of yogurt. Quite delicious.

This is the new location on Monmouth Street of the exclusive and amazing Pierre Hermé (who is the godfather of Macarons) This location is open from 10am until 7pm and friday/ Saturday 10am until 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm. They do have also delivery. Amazing choice!

Best macarons I have never tried! Shop is small. They have a lot of varieties of macarons. Some of them are seasonal! The cashier was very friendly and helpful, and she suggested to set aside for some of the choices I picked as those were very fragile. Overall, they are in the pricier side, but well worth for a try!

The shop exterior was so cute I just had to go inside. The display had a good selection, although I noticed the lack of the more "classic" and "simple" options like pistachio, vanilla, etc. All of the ones I saw seemed to be combinations of various flavors, which was nice but I personally tend to prefer simpler flavors. After having a lovely conversation with the person working there about the different flavors and her recommendations, I went with the ispahan (rose, litchi, and raspberry) and the infiniment jasmin (jasmine flower and jasmine tea). I wanted to eat them later so the lady helping me put them into a nice bag - very nicely packaged, I must say - for me to take away. I tried the macarons a bit later and was unfortunately underwhelmed. Both flavors were ok (I liked the jasmine more), but I didn't quite like the texture since the shells lacked the crunch that I expect from good macarons (like Laduree). These shells were soft and didn't taste fresh. Because of that, I probably won't come back, mainly because Laduree is so close and is both cheaper and better.

I was first introduced to Pierre Hermé in Paris, when I tried almost every macarons flavour they had and was practically in tears from sheer joy. I ran into this location in London quite by accident and was more than happy to drop in. I had the Ispahan, which is chocolate and raspberry ganache, rose and lychee fruit paste, covered in dark chocolate. It's my new favourite bon bon. As for the macarons, I had the Mogador, which has milk chocolate and passion fruit, Velouté Ispahan, which has yoghurt, rose, lychee, and raspberry, and the Montebello, which has pistachio cream and raspberry compote. I have no words. These are some of the best macarons in the world. I have tried other "famous" macaron places in Paris and London, and while they're good, great even, they're not Pierre Hermé. It's possible I love this place a little too much. I'm a loyal customer for life.

When I entered Sweet I was greeted by the staff and quickly took in a few silver tables and several wooden tables with stools. I ordered a goat cheese pastry puff and cappuccino. I was a bit annoyed that rather than ring me up, allow me to sit down and bring me my cappuccino, I was made to stand and wait until my drink order was finished. As I sat down, there was a mini rush. I was glad to have a seat because Sweet wasn't meant to hold a large crowd. The goat cheese puff was good; with each bit I could taste the goat cheese, meaning there was lots of goat cheese, yummy. The puff also had large tomatoes and a bit of basil, which added a nice flavor. The crust was light and flaky and I am sure I would have enjoyed the puff even more if it had been served warm. The cappuccino was also very good, but had a bit too much foam and not enough liquid for my taste. I like just a bit of foam and lots of liquid, next time I will request it that way. Overall Sweet was not bad, I would visit again, but doubt that I'd make it my regular boulangerie.

My husband and I decided to try for a table and we ended up waiting about 45 min - 1 hour to sit. I love how the Arome workers help move the line along and help people in line find tables. Also speaking of Arome, the AROMA was fantastic! It smelled to buttery and fantastic both inside and while waiting in line. I ended up trying: the iconic Honey Butter Toast, Black Sesame Mochi Cookie, and Almond and Chocolate Croissant, a Savory Croissant (I think Sausage and Cheese), a Chai, and a Matcha. Everything was SO GOOD. All the pastries were amazing. I'm glad we got a mix of sweet and savory things. Everything we had was buttery, flaky, intentional, and made with love. According to their website, they deliver "European excellence with Asian flair" which is really a great way to describe their pastries and the experience! Definitely the quality that you would expect with some of those Asian flavors. Here is what we tried: Chocolate Pistachio Escargot (5/5): Shaped in a snail shell, in between the flaky layers of pastry were luscious chocolate sprinkled with pistachio for nutty texture. Really enjoyed this one! Honey Butter Toast (4/5): Touted as their signature, I had high expectations for this. It is exactly as described which that slightly sweetness from the honey in a perfectly toasted milk bread. I did enjoy this a lot but also felt like it would benefit by having something else for texture or contrast. Chicken Butter Croissant (4/5): The croissant had the nice flaky layer with chewy interior. I loved the savory chicken sausage with the slightly sweet soy glaze that provided nice contrast and that Asian twist. When we got there a little after opening, there was no line but all the seats were taken as the place is quite limited on seats. While we were asked to wait for a little a bit outside, we did not have to wait too long. However, the line did end up getting longer as we were leaving and some ended up eating outside. Overall, if you are interested in tasting some tasty pastries, I would recommend Arome!
