Soooooo let's just start by saying this place is highly expensive but you don't know HOW expensive until you get there. This is one of those places where you assume the highest to mentally and financially prepare. Known for their exquisite pastries and immaculate taste, we were encouraged to come to this particular location. Located right on the Champs Elysees street, there's no way you can walk pass it. You have the option to dine in or take away. Inside the establishment also sells other goodies like lotions, soaps and lip balms. My friend and I purchased two small cakes. One pistachio and the other hazelnut chocolate with four individually selected macaroons. For the macaroons, we selected the chocolate caramel, chocolate passion fruits, lime strawberry rhubarb and the raspberry. My absolute favorite was the seasonal lime strawberry rhubarb. They did that! I can see why it's seasonal - to keep people returning and requesting. Was paying 37€ worth it? Mmmh, yes and no. On a regular basis, absolutely not. For first timers or special occasions, sure thing.
This Pierre Herme is located on Champs Elysees. When you enter, the center is the macaron display area where you order and pay. There are other items offered here too but I had tunnel vision and went straight to the macarons. The cashier is to your left when you're entering. In the back is the dine in cafe. Along the walls display an array of items they sell. I don't believe there is a system to ordering as you just walk up to the front and when a staff member is available, they assist you. They are extremely friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I came just for their macrons so Mink could try some. She wanted to compare with another spot while visiting Paris. I picked up 6 different macarons so she could have a good tasting of what they offered. Unfortunately it started raining when I left so I did get a little soaked. Not my favorite situation but it is what it is. Totally worth it because Mink loves their macarons! They are soft, not too sweet and just melts in your mouth. They are now her favorite spot for macarons in Paris. Must try if you're craving for macarons!
This is a really nice bakery pop-up where you can pick up a quick sweet treat while doing shopping with other Parisian brands. It's close to the Charles De Gaule - Etoile metro center and on the Champe-Elysees, so it's very convenient as well. The macaroons melt in your mouth and the other desserts are so decadent and flavorful. They are a little bit expensive, but it's definitely worth the price. The staff who serve the desserts are very nice and speak both English and French. All the desserts in the cases are translated as well. There's not really a seating area, but the packaging of the desserts and sweets is really nice + can tolerate travel. These are great gifts to bring back home to your foodie friends for sure!
Every macaron of the rainbow can be found here! We stopped by to buy a few sweets. The macarons are really good. I particularly liked on that was chocolate that had a little passion fruit in it. There's usually a line but they're pretty efficient at getting you your treats in an efficient manner. Things aren't cheap but for a little indulgence, this is a fun place.
It's been a long time coming. I've waited about 6 years to try the macarons from Pierre Herme. I studied his techniques and watched documentaries about his passion for macarons. Yes there is a huge difference between his macarons and others. His macarons are almost double stuffed and filled with a creamy rich filling. The macarons are a bit bigger too with a wider size. It's like a cookie with a nice stiff cream! It's buttery, non-flaky, and full of flavor. I really loved their pistachio, rose, and Madagascar vanilla. I would've came again but there was no time. My bucket list was officially closed when it came to macarons. I've tried a lot and after this one, I am done now. I am fulfilled!

Both are located down the street from the Arc de Triomphe and you'll also find them both in other locations in Paris and at CDG airport. While Laduree can also be found in many other countries including the United States, I don't think that is the case for Pierre Herme. The front facade of Pierre Herme on Champs Elysees is currently undergoing renovations so it looks like the shop is closed, but it's actually open. I dropped in on a Saturday evening and purchased a few macarons. There was no line to order. The macarons were delicious and on par with Laduree. I think they might have more filling than Laduree.
At last, an Hermé I can afford!! This is a joint business with L'occitane, that I came across near my hotel on Champs Elysees. From the street it looks like another shop selling lotions, soaps, fragrancies and other items. Upon entry, you are welcomed into a HUGE macaron/pastry shop. This one has every flavor you can imagine and is equally popular & crowded as Ladurée (across the street). I have never seen a Pierre Hermé outpost in America! This is a definite must go for macarons/desserts! The staff is friendly and helpful with the choices & flavor descriptions.
Heard lots of hype about Pierre Hermé for their unique macaron flavors! Had to make a stop and I'm so glad I did. One of the best macarons I've had and not only were the macarons good, but also the service was super friendly. They explained the flavors of the macarons that I was interested more in depth. I ended up getting the chocolate & vanilla flavor (kind of tasted like a smore) and a sake macaron (still sweet)! Highly recommend Pierre Hermé!
Whenever we are on the Champs Elysées, my daughter and I must have a date with Pierre Hermé. We don't visit too often, so we can indulge a little. Last time, we were very lucky to be seated quickly, people after us had to turn away, the wait being too long. You can always hope for a spot at the beautiful central bar or even on the terrasse if the weather is cooperating. People tend to compare Hermé's macarons to Ladurée and it's hard to decide which is best, the latter one being more classic. Hermé is quite adventurous in the combinations of flavors, their don't always work great or can feel a little too strong. I think I like Ladurée better, but Hermé is a very close second, and definitely one of my favorites in Paris!
The debate between Laduree vs Pierre Herme is a conflict between old vs new, traditional vs contemporary. Pierre Herme differentiates its macarons from Laduree through unique, contrasting flavors through a creative twist. Most of PH's flavors are a combination of two that contrast yet complement each other. The macarons are amazing, but some are a bit too overwhelming in flavor. Still great and worth trying!
Pierre Hermé If you know Pierre Hermé from social media and all the viral videos, then this review needs no introduction. But if you haven't, this is a strong contender for worthy macarons in Paris and at a convenient location across the street from Ladurée. Located inside L'Occitane in the most gorgeous floor space ever, you will find Pierre Hermé at the center of it all. They have an impressive array of flavors that were much more unique than other patisseries. I definitely asked for a few recommendations as well since I tend to order the same thing (pistachio, raspberry, lemon, etc.) The workers were very kind. They indulged my request to converse in French and corrected me in a respectful and endearing way (I know some people get upset at this idea but I personally prefer it.) I had ordered a dozen macarons but truthfully would've ordered the entire lot if I wasn't alone and especially if I wasn't already taking a ton of sweets back for my flight home. I am a Ladurée purist and what I can say is that Pierre Hermé definitely had the best and most unique flavors compared to the two. The prices are fairly comparable and the coffrets are just as tasteful. Both are strong contenders and worthy of your money. I certainly will be returning and look forward to trying the rest of their selection. (15/50--2025) read more
Okay okay...I know Pierre Hermé is a super touristy macaron shop, and the Pierre Hermé on Champs Elysée is probably the MOST touristy you can get, but I can't help but give this place five stars. Pierre Hermé is home to some of the best macarons I've had in my life -- which is probably too many for the good of my health -- and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the macarons, the staff's attention to detail, and all the unique flavors this shop had to offer. As a popular macaron shop in one of the hottest tourist destinations in Paris, this location is undeniably crowded. There's usually a huge line circling around a central display of macaron after macaron. The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu. My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness. It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured Champs Elysée. read more

love the atmosphere, the ambiance was beautiful. There was not much seating so very quaint and intimate setting. The Menu is small and light but everything was delicious and photo worthy. I had the Salmon which was amazing and the desserts are to die for. Definitely recommend for a insta worthy experience. Service was super friendly as well. read more

I'm obsessed with everything ispahan and this place delivers. It's super weird that it's in the middle of and L'Occitane store but it's convenient if you're shopping around Champs Élysées and need a snack. Try the raspberry ispahan croissant. They run out quickly but are heavenly. read more

If not the best, it's one of the best macaroons I've ever had. We tried at least the top six macaroons in places in Paris. Must try their chocolate passion fruit(mogador), salted caramel, hazelnut praline, and Isaphan- rose, litchi with raspberry. Their macaroons are crunchy but soft, perfect middle layer. Only drawback it will cost you about 2 euro each. Make sure you also try their desserts- he is one of the top dessert chefs in the world. read more
What can I say; when I Paris you must get your hands on macarons and one name is infamous in that regard; Pierre Herme! His macarons are pristinely displayed and picked by patrons pretty much at any given day. Little pastries eaten by the mouthful is how I describe them. Sadly the nearest location is inside an airline lounge at JFK airport in New York and I wish for them to expand perhaps to San Francisco - that would be amazing. My sister and I were taking pictures of the Arc de Triomphe when we decided to find a bathroom within the Publicis drugstore off the corner. Instead, we randomly found the Pierre Herme counter within the drugstore. It's really clean, bright, and cutely decorated. Customer service was amazing! The Asian guy who helped us spoke perfect English and really took the time to introduce each macaron to us. He went over the different flavors and also recommended ones that we would potentially like based on our usual preferences. We didn't feel like he rushed through anything even when there were customers waiting behind us. Overall, I was intrigued by the bold and creative flavors offered at Pierre Herme. The Espahan, a macaron that's lychee, raspberry, and rose flavored, was simply delicious! The tartness of the raspberry jam really balances out the creamy and sweet lychee rose ganache. read more

A couple years back, I used to be only able to get the Pierre Herme macarons in the Publicdrugstore over on the end of the Champs by the Arc, now seems like this location is bigger and better than ever! A little bit confusing with the Loccitane shared space, but it works - with high end lotions and potions with high end treats. The macaron assortment is something to marvel at, even if you're not really going to buy, its worth a step in to see the display. There's also a bunch of cakes as well to interest the pickiest of eaters, and a to-go stand off to the side, in case the rich aromas of lavender and rose is too much for you. Theres also room to dine all the way in the back. I'd say take your time at this place and enjoy all that this store has to offer. read more
In love with macaron. The feel of this place is sophisticated & classy. It's like a macaron heaven. I was like a kid in there. So excited & happy. I can't even start to describe the taste. These macaron were so soft & delicate, they would melt in your mouth. The flavors, were just perfect. -1 star, cos my server, wasn't interested in serving. Pierre Herme is one of the *must try* places for macarons in Paris. This Pierre Herme location is located inside of Publicis Drugstore right at the end of Champs Elysees. It's a bit hard to find for this reason but once inside super easy to spot. The lady working at Pierre Herme was super friendly and I did my usual thing of buying three macarons to try. My staple macaron is chocolate and I loved it! Wasn't the best one I had in Paris but definitely was good.It was called macaron infiniment chocolat porcelana with pure chocolate from Venezuela. I then tried a couple of more adventurous flavors. I went for huile d'olive & vanille (olive oil & vanilla) macaron which was surprisingly good. I then went for this pretty tie dyed color based solely on the colors (Yep, I have issues) called the Milena. Although beautiful, I didn't enjoy this flavor combination. It was a bit too floral for me, a combination of menthe fraiche & fruits rouges (fresh mint & berries). All the macarons were creamy on the inside and a bit crispy on the outside. I enjoyed them but my search continued for the perfect macaron in Paris after Pierre Herme. read more
Pierre Herme is known to be one of the BEST macarons in Paris! I was really excited to find this counter inside the Publicis drug store on Avenue des Champs Elysees! Note: you can't see the Pierre Herme sign until you go inside Publicis and find their counter. This isn't a normal stand-alone store. It's just a to-go spot with no tables. However, the macarons are fresh and they have a LOT of flavors! My husband and I got a box of 12 different macarons (yes, we're fatties, and hey, when in Paris!) and ate them in our hotel room shortly after. First of all, they're beautiful! Loved the wide range of colors and how some macarons had two different colored shells. They had a LOT of unique flavors, all super flavorful, more so than any macarons I've had in the U.S. Texture-wise, they had the perfect light and crisp shell with smooth and creamy filling. Some unique stand-out flavors were Rose & Quince, Pistachio Cream & Raspberry Compote, Fresh Mint, Licorice & Violet... but my favorite out of the 12 I tried was the Salted-Butter Caramel (Caramel au Beurre Sale. i.e. Infinitment Caramel). It was the perfect amount of salt! Definitely one of the most memorable and best macarons I've ever had! Sweet and savory perfection! Highly recommend if you're looking for some amazing macarons in Paris! read more
If someone from Pierre Herme is reading this review, you need to open a location in USA soon! If Laduree can open a location, so can you. I believe they are your competitors in Paris, so why not compete here too? Loved their Macarons! Actually more than Laduree's Macarons! The customer service lady was the awesomest sales person. I told her, this was my first time in their shop and she explained their pricing system, the availability (one flavor or multi-flavor) and actually took the time to explain each flavor. I ordered a box of 7 macarons and can't decide which one was my favorite - they all were! read more
These macaroons were the best I have ever eaten! When we were in Paris, we tried a few big brands from laduree to la maison du chocolat to pierre hermes. Pierre Hermes was hands down higher in quality, texture and taste! I miss their macaroons since I came back home. I hope one day they would open a store in NYC! read more
Are you looking for something incredibly delicious and unique? You're in for a treat! This is a must-go-to place in Paris. I find it more appealing than Laduree because the macarons have very distinct flavors, often times 2+ flavors in a single macaron. There's no doubt that you'll find a wide selection of beautiful cakes, macarons, chocolates, and other goodies. The packaging is also lovely (I've decided to keep it for the memories :D). Apparently they only last for a few days in the fridge, so if Paris is your destination in Europe, make sure to take some home! Unfortunately, I was still traveling elsewhere after Paris and did not bring it back to the States :( read more

We were on the search for the best macarons in Paris, we soon realized that everyone raved about two shops in particular. Pierre Herme, seem to be the most talked about out of the two. So after an afternoon stroll through Champs Elysees we decided to enter the large pharmacy and try an assortment of macarons. This particular shop is housed in a pharmacy/ shopping area. You can not miss the location it has huge flashing neon lights. The section that houses Pierre Herme is very classy. The young lady that assisted us was very knowledgeable about the product, and was able to assist us with the perfect taste selection for us.. We brought our treats back to our hotel, and I have to say these macaroons are the best I have ever had!! We had a vanilla, citron, raspberry, chocolate, caramel and special flavors I can't recall the name but they were all amazing!!! You must try these macarons they are to melt for. read more

When in Paris do as the Parisians and stop in for a dessert to enjoy with every sense. The woman behind the counter that helped us, Fanta, was outstanding! She gave us all the information about the flavors and their pairings and shared her favorites. read more
