They have about 20 different flavors of macarons and some pastries offered. I bought a box of 24 for 69 euro that came in a pretty, limited edition box which was perfect for gifting. The staff suggested one of each flavor and then duplicate their most popular flavors which was a great idea. There was a line to order but it moved fast.

Macarons.

I'll be honest here. Macarons aren't exactly my thing. At least they weren't until recently. Whenever I've had a macaron in the USA, it's always tasted artificial and brittle. I've actually only found one place in the USA that this isn't the case, but it's somewhat far from me and I don't go often. That said, when in Paris and looking for a gift for a French family, my first thought was dessert, and so, we went to Pierre Hermé and had a grand ol' time. Staff is bilingual, so lots of English and French thrown about. I wound up ordering in English as these language mix-ups confused my brain. Plus, the place was packed and English was just more efficient. Aside from macarons, they had plenty of desserts, especially those buche de Noël cakes the French usually eat for Christmas. Only wound up buying a box of 12 for that evening's dinner. I turned out to have one regret though. The host stuffed us so much we didn't end up trying the macarons. Luckily we tried them days later at another one of these shops. They're pricey, but they're worth every penny. I now understand why our host was so happy to receive these as a gift. Recommend when in Paris.

Macaron perfection. On the pricier side at €2.50 a pop but man, every flavor is beautiful and delicious, the epitome of a macaron. Delicately crisp shell, chewy soft interior (on the softer side, compared to some others), creams in the middle that paired well with the cookie portion--I especially enjoyed the seasonal olive and vanilla flavored one. That sweet w/a hint of savory was one of the most creative flavors I've ever tried and didn't expect to taste in a macaron. I also heard about a seasonal wasabi flavor recently that was good but they didn't have this when I was in Paris (and I went to 4 different Pierre Hermé locations). You can buy macarons by the box or a individually. Usually for the single one they will give you a napkin so you can eat it right away. Being a macaron purveyor the main focus is obviously macarons, but they do have some other pastries, chocolates and gift boxes with other sweet treats. Note: I'm not a super fan of macarons--I think as a fancy treat they are ok but I haven't had a macaron craving like I do some other foods, and generally find them too sweet to eat more than a couple at a time. Also $2.50-3.50 on one bite is usually a bit low on the price-value scale. However that being said, visiting Paris I really wanted to try more of them, considering they are one of the most popular French confectioneries. And I can gladly say of the various places I've tried this spot is definitely on the top of the list!

One of my fav places to get macarons. This time we got: Pistache: 5/5 my all time favorite flavor and they are always excellent here! Perfect texture and amazing flavor. Ispahan: 5/5 this was an interesting one. Rose, lychee and framboise. I was surprised that the kids liked it. Chocolat: 5/5 kids love this.

Best macarons I've ever had! I'm also convinced these are the best ones I'll ever have. They are on the pricey side though but with it being my first time in Paris, I had to get a few! I tried some basic flavors: pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla. You can't go wrong here!

Especially excited to visit since I love how they have new flavors for different seasons! Also excited since the first time I tried these were as a gift in the states so it's the fact that I get to try them fresh from the store feeling lol :P Love these fluffy delicate macarons especially the isaphan, passionfruit chocolate, and possibly almost all flavors! I always thought macarons were TOO sweet until I tried these. Also I need to add that the packaging and cute Pierre Hermé are a plus Bonjour!

Enjoying my new favorite treat!

Bonjour! I stopped in for the macarons and they did not disappoint! Very happy customer and I will be back. The surprise however was the raspberry croissant. Hands down the best I have eaten! Pure Heaven. Stop in for a special treat when you are out and about. They have a nice seating area inside and out. Plus, the staff was super nice and patient while I picked out my treats. I walked 9 miles in the day and earned every bite!

Yummy X10 macarons that is worth every penny! Much better than the Laduree - flavors such as the Rose, Raspberry, Litchi, Caramel, Mogador (Milk Chocolate and Passion Fruit) , Chocolate Inifiniment Paineiras , Pistachio, Hazelnut Praliné, Vanilla. They are so addictive!

Seriously the best macarons in Paris! The staff spoke some English, and the signs are in French (but they will tell you what everything is). It cost 3€ for the tin box that holds 4 macarons, and it was about 12€ total. All the macarons I chose were heavenly soft, and delicious! Even several days later. I tried: * Infiniment pistache * Ispahan (rose, letchi, framboise) * Mogador (chocolat at lait, fruit de la passion) * Satine (cream cheese, compote d'orange & fruit de la passion)

I was so surprised when I bit into their macarons...they are so soft and moist. The ones I have eaten before were usually bit chewy. My favorite is rose, caramel and pistachio. Yes they are not cheap. They charge 3 euros for a box, so 7pc in a box is 19 euros. Make sure to eat within two days. On the third day they started being soggy.

Jasmine tea, chocolate passion fruit, mint, rose, and enchanted garden.

Heard of this place as the other Laduree in Paris and had to try it out. I didn't quite know what to expect but it is a small little shop that gets a steady stream of customers. When I was there, they were all tourists except for one, myself included (tourist, I mean). The goods were all beautifully displayed but I had eyes on the macarons. They were labeled but, as with most macaron places with a line, it's a bit hard to figure out what you want until the people in front of you are done. No menus! My first impression are the flavors that were offered. Many popped out but I needed to narrow them down. The lady was patient when I was deciding but I ended up with enchanted garden (lime, raspberry, and espelette pepper), jasmine tea, mint, chocolate passion fruit, and rose. They were all good but I thought the jasmin wasn't that strong (or perhaps I should have eaten that one first) and the garden has a slight kick to it. My favorite was the mint. The texture and overall macaron was perfect, as should be expected, but I found the filling began melting rather quickly. Laduree has more classic flavors whereas Pierre Herme has more variety. Macaron-wise, I think Pierre has more filling. They're both more expensive than other macarons in Paris. I say if you want macarons, go to either one. If you want special flavors, go to Pierre Herme. Delicious!

Cute box

Came here based on my hotel concierge's recommendation - "better than Laduree" - and yes, they were right! They have so many different flavors including some interesting ones. I heard they change/add new flavors from time to time. Ended up buying a lot (including some for my hotel concierge) and hand-carried carefully to bring back to the US... ;)

Yes! All the yes!!!! We asked them to pick us a box of 7 flavours that showcased them. I'm glad we did this because she picked a few that I would never have gone near (asparagus and hazelnut oil anyone?). We got a box of these and a box of laduree. To be fair we can get laduree in Australia but I wanted to try a side by side example. Hands down these won! The flavours are much more experimental. Your senses really had to work hard to decider some of the flavours that were juxtaposed against each other. The fillings were creamy and the macaron shell just melted in your mouth but didn't break apart or crumble upon eating. Do yourself a favour and splurge on these beauties! You won't regret it!

Macaroons were good, not sure if they're any better than what I've tasted elsewhere but definitely a solid option.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ THEEEEEE gold standard for macarons in Paris ... or anywhere for that matter. + Macarons here are a little crisp, a little pillowy softness and a whollllllle bunch of flavor. - It cost a pretty penny (about 3 Euros for 1 piece), but you won't regret it for a second when you bite into one of these addictively delicious treats. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + All class, top notch white glove service - literally - they handle the macarons with much care like it were gold! THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Located in the heart of the Champs-Élysées on Rue Lincoln, so, YES, it is busy like rush hour outside ... and inside. + There are 2 sides to this massive flagship location - you can either make a purchase of macarons at their store OR dine/sit down in their tea house. Both have lines to wait on, but making a purchase only takes about 10 minutes on a weekend, while dining in looks like an unimaginable wait! + The store to make a macaron purchase at has 3 tables to sit around to enjoy your purchase of delicious macarons. You MUST catch someone about to leave (like we did) in order to snag a table. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Expect waits on a weekend afternoon, especially to sit down in the tea room. If you just make a store purchase, it's only about a 10 minute wait ... and you'll be thanking your legs for that. = It's a tourist destination in itself, so expect LOTS of people taking photos of this location. CONCLUSION ----------------------- = Yes, I'm from the tri-state area and they've had a Laduree in NYC since 2011, but there's alwayyyyys something special about going to one of the originals and this spot is no different.

The shell-shaped cakes were sweet & spongy, as to be expected, but not markedly special. A passable pick-me-up while we strolled hilly Montmartre, but after one try, I'm not in a rush to return.

This location is one of many mouth-watering stands inside of the Galeries Lafayette food hall. Their glass cases are full of bright and colorful, beautiful pastries and sweets to swoon over as you decide what to order. From macarons to cakes to chocolates, there's a variety to choose from! I already knew that I wanted to try their macarons; I ordered the matcha, hojicha, and black sesame, while the boyfriend ordered the genmaicha and wasabi. The flavors were outstanding for each one! I was pleasantly surprised at how perfectly the matcha and black sesame flavors especially came through in macaron form. I also ordered a small pot of their yuzu sorbet, which was refreshing and delicious! Again, the yuzu flavor translated very well into sorbet form. My only wish was that the container was bigger... Prices were as expected - 1,80€ per macaron and 3,00€ for the sorbet cup - but as rare unique treats, I felt that they were worth the cost to try! It's also a bit less than the big bakeries such as Laduree. Can't wait until the next time I have the chance to stop by a Sadaharu Aoki to indulge in other new desserts!
