It was a hearty broth with small pieces of pork, carrots and potatoes flavored with some dill, very tasty. We had enough to take home for the next two days for lunch or dinner. Even though we were advised that they only had one person cooking in the kitchen, our meals were served quickly. She was so warm and generous, offering me different things to try and proudly sharing stories about the store and the food. The pierogi, sausage, Hungarian goulash, potato pancake, and bigos were all absolutely delicious. Being from Poland, finding food and hospitality like this so unexpectedly felt like a little piece of home.
