I had the best experience I could have ever wished for today at piercology. I went in to have my daith pierced to help with migraines as a last resort. I truly wish I hadn't waited so long. I felt pressure relief immediately and couldn't help but to tear up out of happiness. Ben was such a great piercer and really made the experience that much better. Im extremely put off by my daughter's recent experience with a particular piercer there. Im the one who told her to go there, which makes me feel worse. But i had a great experience as did my family members who have gone to Piercology over the years. My daughter & niece went together. Im not sure if this piercer isnt used to working with diverse types of people or what, but evidently after piercing my daughter's nose, she waited outside (due to covid) while he pierced my niece. While piercing my niece, He made rude comments about the size of my daughter's nose and expressed his gratitude to my niece for having a "button nose". Yes black people do have broader noses. You'd think someone who brags about being in the game for 30 years has worked with all types. Evidently not. He felt compelled to bash 1 client's features behind her back to another client. To me this is beyond unprofessional. Ive reccomended Piercology dozens of times over the years to people. Never again. Its been a few years since ive been. I was shocked and disgusted. I went in to get my earlobes pierced and had a great experience! I was really nervous but the staff were all so friendly and helpful that my nerves were calmed immediately. They were very informative & they do a great job reminding the customers to use hand sanitizer in a friendly way. Everything was very sanitary. Their jewelry is excellent quality and they have a great selection which is why it's so expensive. I didn't mind paying a high price for great quality. Dylan Smith did my piercing and he was very understanding of my anxiousness. He calmly talked me through the seamless piercing process & made me feel respected and comfortable. I was a nervous 40 something not the usual clientele I thought, so I was very happy with my experience yesterday. I had a daith piercing done by Dylan after considering it for some time in the hopes for migraine relief. Every employee spoke to us we came across and we're all very helpful and Dylan put on music I liked and I can actually say I felt zero pain...zero. Since it was a cartilage piercing and I had done my research I was prepared for some but I never even felt it. I was about to turn fifteen when I decided I wanted more piercings for myself. I wanted my cartilage and third in my lobe. My mom went to Piercology for her belly button and it was an amazing experience for her. I thought if my mom trusts them, she won't trust just anyone with her daughters body. So we went in, I talked to Ben about what I wanted and what jewelry and gauge size as well. So we sat and waited for a few minutes while Ben set up the back room. Once he was ready for us, we went in and I sat on the big comfy seat. Ben went over what he was going to do with everything to me once. I knew how piercings went since I has two already for my lobes. He set placement and asked if I liked it, I loved the placement for my cartilage and my lobes. Now, I have never had piercings done laying down only sitting up. So when Ben asked me to lay down, it was different for me. I wasn't nervous about the piercings or the pain cause I knew it was going to be quick. Ben did my cartilage first before my lobes as he told me to breathe and release on three. It was a quick two seconds as he cleaned my ears each time he did his job. Ben did go over the cleaning process twice with me cause I was excited and happy for my new piercings. That was about two years ago now. I went back to get my lip pierced as well. Ben did my lip too, my lip was a bit different and actually did feel a bit of pressure due to going through layers of skin in my bottom lip. The shop is extremely well kept and clean. Ben is probably the best I have had because Claire's is just not how a child should get their piercings done right in pure honest. My experience is absolutely amazing with Piercology and I cannot wait to go back for my nose piercing and possible more cartilage ones too. read more

I was so nervous that I started to cry and he was super nice and understanding and did everything to make me feel comfortable, and not only that, it didn't even hurt it just felt like a pinch. I got a VCH done here last year by, I think, Tiffany. Awesome awesome awesome chica. I didn't expect it to hurt as much as it did... So immediately after it was done, I'm wigging out/about to faint etc, and she is the kindest, nicest, most calm and encouraging human being I could ever wish to be with during this particular experience - professional but personable; unbelievably patient and soothing. The place is clean beyond belief, and they have an excellent range of very reasonably-priced jewellery. I am so, so, SO impressed with this place... as a nurse AND a "regular person"! :) I turned 30 yesterday and, having deliberated a piercing for a couple years, decided, "Carpe diem!" A friend and I headed to Piercology. I'd heard it's name dropped before and had checked out the website and some reviews and it looked good. "Good" is an understatement and I am so happy that I chose this place for my nose piercing. There's a good vibe as soon as you walk through the door. Kevin, at the front desk, was super friendly and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I never felt pressured to buy any "extras" or more expensive jewelry than what I wanted. (I hate that.) The piercer (I can't remember his name now!) knew his stuff. Washed his hands thoroughly before he started anything, maintained a sterile environment, told me every step of the way what he was doing before he did it. My friend has the "corkscrew" piercing done in the top of her ear and he did amazing with that as well! I left there as a 110% satisfied customer. Did I mention they threw in some extras because it was my birthday? Piercology rocks! As a present for my 16th birthday my mother took me and my best friend to get our belly buttons pierced. My friend's mother had been told that Piercology was the best place to go. The man who did the piercing was not over joyous and not necessarily 'warm and fuzzy'. Luckily, my mother paid for my piercing because it was wildly overpriced. My naval piercing was not pierced deep enough and eventually I removed it to get it re-pierced at a better location. This also happened to my best friend. The first piercing I ever got in my life was at Piercology. It's a very worthy destination if you need to get a hole in some body part. In my case I was getting my daith pierced - even for these highly experienced piercers, it was a slightly unusual request. I loved that piercing (several years later I removed it, thinking I was too grown up or something [ha!], and I still kind of regret it). They were really capable - super professional, chill, and able to keep me feeling calm even though they were forcing a needle through a very thick piece of cartilage. There was an intense feeling of pressure in my entire head, and I was momentarily paranoid that the needle would slip and pierce my skull or something (not the desired effect), but then it was over and I had a badass ring in my ear! read more

I went and got my tongue done a couple days ago. They were accommodating and kind and I didn't have to wait too long. The place seemed very clean and they were very concerned with the presence bacteria. My piercer switched gloves a couple times during the procedure to make sure everything was clean. They were super professional and kind. I was super nervous but David, my piercer talked me through it and it was quick and easy. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to get anything pierced. I absolutely love Piercology. I've gotten my nose pierced with a hoop and a double conch piercing in one ear (as of yesterday) done here. I chose Piercology over the direct competition in the area because in addition to piercing with stud body jewelry, they will also safely pierce with hoops/rings. They predicted my nose healing within 2-4 months, but it actually healed within a month with no problems. Very clean, professional, and they take the time with each piercing to make sure you're getting exactly what you want. The only downfall is the waiting time, but it's not a bad thing that they're always busy! read more

Went in absolutely afraid as can be on a snowy and cold January night, aka today LOL, and wanted to get my septum done. All right lemme let you know first off I hate needles, pain and am a bit wussy. I've been able to cause a huge scene while having blood work done and IV's but tonight I barely made a peep and it was all because of the wonderful guys at Piercology. I talked to the awesome gentleman at the counter, and now I feel bad because I was so nervous I forgot his name but he came in and held my hand (because I went all by myself, I know, I know crayzay) and it was over in a second! Ben was beyond awesome, he walked me through everything very slowly, as I'd asked because I was afraid, and was patient and caring. I've been to businesses that pierce before but Piercology is on another level of epicness. Piercing is all they do and they're effin amazing at it. I'd only ever had my ears pierced before now, and that was as a child, and I was worried but after walking in and meeting these two I feel absolutely anyone could walk in afraid and walk out feeling a lot better!!! Do you want a piercing? Don't walk, run here and don't go anywhere else! Btw, anyone complaining about the prices needs to gtfo, they are beyond fair and with daily discounts on different services you can save a bunch. Recently got my nostril pierced after years of debating. Mike calmly answered all my (slightly excessive) questions. The entire staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The inside is super clean, almost smells like a hospital, reassuring to anyone about to put a hole on their body. The piercing itself took seconds, and was virtually painless (a paper cut would be 100 times more painfull). Do follow their after-care instructions! I have been back several times since because I thought I was good, but because of mis-care, I got a small infection. I have stopped in several times to get it checked and they have given me helpful suggestions that have helped. I have now taken two other friends to get their nostril pierced there! I didn't think I wanted more piercings but because I had such a great experiencs, I might go back for my tragus. The only downside is that I wish they had a slightly more expanded gold jewelry selection. read more

Got my nose pierced here about a year and a half ago. This was my second attempt at getting it pierced. The first place I went was some hole in the wall near UC in Cincinnati and it got infected. Wow what a difference in procedure and sterilization. I went back yesterday because it caught on my husband's shirt and came out. Ouch. I couldn't get it back in myself, so I walked in and they sterilized and put it back in for five bucks. Not bad. Service is friendly. read more

As an older client, was concerned about whether this would be ridiculously uncomfortable. Long story short, had a navel piercing, then two pregnancies and needed some help with getting the piercing back in. Had my first piercing at the Gauntlet in San Francisco, an iconic venue, and my experience at Piercology was equally as positive and as memorable. This place was both hip and incredibly professional and comfortable. Would recommend it for a wide range of people - parents getting their kid's ears pierced (way better experience than Claire's!), to college hipsters to middle agers like myself. Reading the reviews, I was expecting a great experience. When my sister and I got there (at 4:15 - they close at 7:00pm) the woman was extremely rude and said she would not do piercings due to the fact that there were parking issues around the building so she was no longer piercing for the day - even though she was open till 7, she was there, and we were there despite the parking. She initially said she would do it but then went back to say she did not want to. I did not catch the woman's name - but she was passive aggressive, rude, and enough to keep me from ever coming back. Based on the reviews, this doesn't seem to be the norm, but she completely ruined my experience and lost 2 customers. It was a truly disappointing experience. read more
