The food is a couple steps up from okay. It feels like ordering and eating in a cafeteria, which has its own inherent quirks. The plus to that is you can see your pizza or calzone or salad being made! I liked the staff here because they took time to explain what toppings are available for your order. They were also really cheery and kept you excited for your food! That really helped, because it can take up to 20 minutes when they're at peak lunch time. My chicken bacon ranch calzone was amazing. I was a little confused that the first woman stated that they had to fill the phone and online orders before serving walk in customers. I love eating at pieology when I'm craving pizza. Love that they have the cauliflower crust option and unlimited toppings. Makes me feel like it's healthier somehow. However, this location has some very awkward staff members. All boys were working when we came and they were so unfriendly.... To the point where I felt like they all got into an argument or something. They never greeted us, had us wait 20 minutes because they were helping a customer in front of us. Didn't know that, though, because he was standing in front of us not saying anything and just putting the dough in the machine. Pieology is conveniently located in the Windward Mall shopping center. We wanted to try another sit down restaurant, but the weight was too long for my daughter. Luckily, we found Pieology right next-door. There were a few tables open, so we decided to try it out. My kids ordered the plain cheese pizza, my husband got a calzone, and I got six wings in the garlic Parmesan sauce. We added three drinks, two cookies, and 4 ranch sauces for a total of $56. The pizza was pretty good a little burnt on the bottom. My husband loved their calzone with the ingredients he chose to put in it. I wasn't a fan of their chicken wings only because the drumsticks had a lot of fat on them and the sauce lacked salt. The wings did take the longest so I would suggest ordering that if you want to wait. Luckily the drink refills were free because we had just come from the botanical garden and were very thirsty. For the price would try to come on a day where they have some deals because it didn't seem like we got a lot of food for the amount we paid. However, the pizza and all the ingredients were fresh and they do have plant proteins so I will give them that. I enjoy creating my own pizza and found pieology to be my favorite spot. But. You need to look for the perfect location who has the best customer service and also cooks your pizza good. The Kailua location is great. The Windward mall location messed up my order tonite. However they prepare the online orders, they lack. My order was not ready, in fact it was missed therefore I had to wait. I was promised a 10 min wait, making my pizza not cook well, my onions tasted raw, my veggies and meat not cooked well, my pizza crust still soggy. Really, I deserve a full tefund. In the end the manager couldn't look me in the eye and offer me a discount, coupon or even a free drink for a mess up in their part. Today, my daughter placed an order for 3 pizzas on the app at 5 PM to be ready at 6 PM. I went to pick up the pizzas at 6. There were no customers in line and about 5 to 6 workers. When I was finally helped, the worker told me that the pizzas would be coming out of the oven "real soon". I didn't know that "real soon" meant 20 minutes later. In the past, the workers showed the customers their pizzas to ensure that the orders were correct. She didn't and I just went home. The pizza that I ordered for myself did not include ANY pepperoni, bacon or Canadian bacon that was ordered. Only the artichokes, spinach, olives, and banana peppers. I did not feel it was going to be worth our time to go back. So I'm hoping that this review will be seen by a manager who will reach out to me and provide compensation for the wrong order or the pizza that I ordered at no charge. read more

wanted to order a puzza from a local small business instead of a chain. Ordered a pizza and garlic bread for delivery. There is no operating phone number for this business, so we placed our order online. The eta was 30 minutes. Our order arrived 2 hours later and cold from a place that was within 10 minutes from our house. We were not able to leave our 1 month old to personally puck this up or we would have. Pieology is located by the entrance by Kickin Kajun and Gyakaku at the Windward Mall . I love their fresh take on their pizzas, not your regular "football game" pizza. Their pies are slightly smaller than the other pizza places but they have a nice thin crust, fresh ingredients, different toppings and sauces and made in a wood fired oven. The one problem with that is a few times , they've charred and burnt the bottom of my pizzas, but the manager was nice to replace them at no charge. Great customer service! They also have a yummy cheesy garlic bread and a dessert Churro pizza with cinnamon and ice frosting that's a must to try! You can design your own pizza and go crazy and pricing is not cheap but reasonable. You can also go on their website and sign up for special discounts. I like the Windward mall location, the manager and staff are friendly, their carry-out is quick, but if you prefer to eat there, they serve draft beer and it's a very clean store and also have outdoor seating. If you live in the Kaneohe area, I highly encourage you to try their pizzas and support Pieology. I'd hate for them to close. read more

The employees are not welcoming, and some don't seem to know what's going on. It's not a well-oiled machine like at other locations. The pizza itself, is up to par. By far one of the BEST Pieology locations! I usually go to the Hale Mahana location because it's the only one in driving distance in town, but on our way home from a photo session, we were craving pizza and stopped by the Windward Mall location. Unlike some of the other locations, they don't rush you, and they pile on the toppings like it's no one's business!! I usually ask for extra mushrooms and olives, but there was no need to do that here because they don't skimp on the toppings. The wait time was a little long because it was peak dinner time, and while we were waiting around I think the manager mistook us for a different customer and said that he was getting a dessert pizza for us. We were confused but said okay. A worker came out shortly after and explained that he mistook us for someone else, but since he had already promised us one, we would be getting one as well. I love that sense of responsibility - I've been to many places where they would have just said "sorry that was a mistake" and left it at that. The pizzas are always great here and it's our go-to whenever we want pizza, but I'll definitely visit this location more often if I'm in the area. read more

Today, January 17, 2021, was Free Premium Crust Upgrade Day...yay! I really like the healthy Cauliflower crust... it doesn't even taste like cauliflower!
