Probably the worst McDonald's in the world and that I have visited honestly. The workers are rude and dismissive. The location was dirty with no one paying attention to tables etc. It was a 40+ minute wait for food. Ontop of that the kiosk don't dispense receipts and you can't order with a cashier. Had to ask for a refund after a 50 minute wait. Manager wasn't happy about it either but had no issues having people wait that long for a 10 piece nugget meal. read more

This McDonalds continues to be the worst on the island. You would think Management would have made changes by now with their customer service, but it jas not improved. Food is cold by time you receive it after waiting 15 minutes in the drive through. Frappe is melted, when I asked for a fresh one, I was told that one was fine. 10:30 AM on a Tuesday morning, the entire restaurant is closed. Except for the drive-through which is about 15 cars deep. This location is always always always understaffed, does not operate on standard operating hours posted, not to mention has poor quality, food, and poor quality service. Every time I come here. Every time I want to come to this restaurant, there is a problem of some sort I advise the district management, owner operator, to step up to the plate and get this restaurant in order. This is a poor example of McDonald's corporate standards. And with respect, once upon a time, I worked for McDonald's corporate, so I understand the stringent standards that this company holds. Terrible service. We placed an order and paid for everything, but several items were missing when we received our food. The receipt clearly showed that those items were ordered and already paid for, yet the employees refused to properly help us. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. In the end, we had to pay a second time just to get the food we had already paid for in the original order. On top of that, they didn't even have straws for the drinks or napkins available. The whole experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Worst service and staff I've experienced at a McDonald's. One star only because of the location. read more

Ordered the new spicy chicken nuggets with the phone app and used points for medium fries. When I arrived noticed the drive-through line was very long and cars parked in curbside pickup areas with no one inside. Waited over 15 minutes and nothing then noticed the lobby was closed due to insufficient staffing. I left and called the restaurant to cancel the order but they said it was ready and to come back. Of course by the time I actually got served the nuggets were cold, but they gave me a large drink and large fries to compensate but it was a horrible experience and many people wanting to go in were frustrated outside. They are either too cheap to pay people sufficiently or are trying to operate with insufficient staffing... The franchise owner also runs the Subway at Koolau center and they too have multiple service issues such as being out of tomatoes frequently. read more

This is the slowest mcdonald's on the island. They only had the option for in store or drive through pickup, however when i pulled up and parked for instore pickup, because the drive through was completely full, there was a sign on the door saying that, because of staff shortages, the lobby was closed and to use the drive through only. There should have been a sign in the parking lot letting folks know this so that they could enter the drive through immediately. Instead, I got stuck in the parking lot for ten minutes because no one would let me enter in the drive through lane and the drive thru itself is slow as molasses. I can't even cancel my order because the app said since I was here, they've already started making it. I've been sitting here for twenty minutes. It's 8:57am. My food is probably cold and i'm still waiting in the drive through. This is ridiculous. read more

I gave it 2 stars just because the view was beautiful and the food was hot. Other than that, the workers have horrible attitudes and give dirty looks. Not sure why, but their attitudes can definitely improve and not stare at someone into blank space when they are kindly asked for more sauce. It seems that the location is pretty busy so I'm sure they have a nonstop shift, but still. Not worth the workers attitudes. read more

The food took a very long time, and they ignored us. This woman was parked in the middle of the drive-through exit, she was dressed inappropriately, and when asked to move, she was quite rude, even though she was the one in everyone else way. with her hazards on, so nobody could get past. The service is very slow. The employees never came out to deliver our food so we had to walk in to the chaos of the establishment, to collect the food ourselves. Well inside, we overheard people waiting 40 minutes for their food a lost orders, and unruly atmosphere. Rude workers !! There is no one who is working at the registers. A worker told a couple that was in line waiting to order to go to the kiosk and order instead of allowing them to order at the counter. Another couple ordered on the kiosk and put their table number where they were sitting for them to bring them the food . While the food taste good, getting there was a problem. Some of the workers are just downright rude. For no reason other than you're there and they don't want you to be. CHECK YOUR ORDER. We live very close by, so going here is a no brainer, but 9/10 times, our order is wrong. Ask for no mayo. Get it anyway. Ask for one burger patty instead of two. Get zero meat. Things are constantly left out and we always have to go back in or swing back around the drive thru to get it fixed. And they don't care. The fun- I enjoy going to McDonald's when we travel internationally or move somewhere new. The spam breakfast is really good! Comes with rice, soy sauce and eggs. Seasonally they have haupia pie and the McTeri- which is a super delicious teriyaki burger They close the lobby for seating at 7, which I find odd. You can still come in and order, but must sit outside....and while all the signs say the lobby is open late, they will very rudely tell you differently. I'll keep going because I can walk to this location....but I wish they cared more about the service they are giving. read more

Got to try McDonald's in Hawaii and see what they offer compared to the mainland, we ordered deluxe platter with spam, egg and Portuguese sausage. It came with a large portion of rice, wish there was more egg, the ratio was just off. Service was quick since we ate inside and ordered on kiosk, bathrooms need code from staff. read more

I placed an online drive up order and waited FORTY MINUTES. Finally, I went in to see if my order was ready, and there about 20 people waiting for their orders. There seemed to be quite a few people behind the scenes in the food prep area, but they looked very confused and inefficient. I'm sorry if you're understaffed and your store is circulating on social media as the "most beautiful McDonald's in the U.S.," but you have to do better. Train better, recruit better, pay better so you can get better people.
