I can't believe I didn't get a picture but not only are their pies beautiful but delicious too! We gave them a try after we saw Piefection on the news. We were hosting Thanksgiving and wanted to have different pies since some people like different things. The customer service was great! I called ahead to see if they had a slice of cookie butter pie. The girl said they didn't have any slices, but if there was a whole pie, she could cut it up. There was a whole pie, so she sliced it up and offered to put a piece on hold in the back for me. I got a piece of key lime pie too that she sliced up for me. Both pies were really good! The lime was creamy and tart. I think the cookie butter pie was more like cheesecake. It was SO GOOD. I have only one negative. The crust for the cookie butter pie was chocolate. I feel like chocolate doesn't go with cookie butter. It should be graham cracker, shortbread or cookie butter crust. Overall though, great pies and great customer service! I was so excited to try the pies based on great reviews. My husband and I picked up a Boston Cream and a Lemon Meringue pie for Christmas dessert. The ganache on the Boston Cteam was so thick it separated from the rest of the pie when cut. The cream and the cake were mushed together like someone had stirred it together and I could not tell the difference between the cake and the cream. It was more like a pudding. I took two bites and threw the rest away. The Lemon Meringue was no better. The lemon filling layer was super thin and not really firm and the meringue had not been beaten enough to get those nice meringue peaks when baked, and was almost flat. It's like they made both of them in a hurry as they were probably baking so many for the holidays they rushed making the pies. About $60 for both pies and out of the 12 people at my home, no one ate them it was all thrown away. Good thing my mother in law brought a dessert too so everyone got something sweet. Hopefully others this Christmas had a better experience than me. read more

First off, put your air conditioning on in the store. Looking for a pie while sweating in your tiny store was not a good start. Most of the pies were not good. We tried a whole Raspberry Cream Pie for about $20, but it had an odd design and just did not have enough flavor. They also had a few BOGO slices and from those the mango coconut was slightly better than that the German Chocolate pie, but neither blew us away. Better pies out there. read more

Pies are amazing. I'm sorry we ate them before I remembered to take pictures. Chocolate silk was creamy and the dark chocolate made it sweet but not too sweet. Blueberry is a favorite and blueberries were plump and juice. You can get a slice or a whole pie. You won't be disappointed. read more

Many of the bakeries and donut shops that I tried to visit during my vacation were closed because of the hardship of Covid. This made me especially pleased to visit Piefection. They have a long list of pies to choose from and enjoy an excellent reputation for quality and taste. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and help was offered. I took a few minutes to look around and saw that they had two sizes of pie, slices of pie and frozen pie. I landed on a whole peach pie and a slice of pecan pie. The peach pie had nice big slices of peaches and taste great. The slice of pecan pie was also very good. It had lots of pecans and was not overly sweet. I highly recommend Piefection. I decided to try this place out because I heard they had a rhubarb strawberry pie which can be hard to find this time of year. I ordered a slice and could only take two bites as it had a strong canned fruit taste and so overly sweet. It made me question why I didn't just purchase one at the grocery store! It's just strange that a place called "Piefection" would sell such generic, run of the mill pies that taste no different than commercial. Based on some of the prior reviews, I had high expectations. I went on Saturday morning when they opened. Apparently, they don't have many of their single serving pies available yet, as they are still baking, so what's out is primarily from the day before. We asked when the other pie would be ready and we were told 11. Why open at 10 if you're not prepared for walk-ins until 11? We picked up a slice of cherry and a slice of apple. Both were watery and the crust was soggy. The service was also subpar. No greeting, no help. read more

I was so excited to check out Piefection. I love pie, and one of my favorites is Julians (California), so I wanted to compare the two. I couldn't wait to check out all the options. I arrived 15 mins after they opened to beat the heat and was greeted by a sweet girl. However, I instantly realized that I had made a mistake. The store was empty, with no fresh pies available; everything in the cooler looked like it had sat overnight. The crust was saturated with juice and presented sloppily. I discovered a few individual pies not far from the cooler but couldn't discern if they were fresh or not - so I asked. Fresh pies were in the oven and usually aren't available until 11 or 12 unless you order in advance. So disappointing. I completely understand having low inventory as you never want to overproduce, but don't open at 10 to only offer leftover pies. So now I was faced with a decision, do I leave empty-handed or try day-old pie? I caved and bought a slice of cherry and apple - disappointed again. The slices of pie were terrible - soggy crust, lacked flavor and just wrong for selling them at full price. At this point, not sure I will go back. I think there are too many other bakeries in town and will try pie snob next. read more
