I couldn't decide if I cared for it or not, I was almost feeling it was pushing the sweetness over just a bit so l may or may not get that again. Even tho they have seating inside, it feels more like a grab and go. You can def enjoy your item there. But I wouldn't say a spot where you can sit and catch up with a Friend or read a book. It also felt a bit too warm and stuffy so cranking down the AC a bit would help it feel more inviting especially from coming outside from the Arizona heat. Elysian Fields is the most charming European-style artisan bakery, it sells everything from floral shortbreads and Victorian buttermints to handcrafted perfumes distilled from blooms grown in their own garden. But, back to that afternoon tea. Treats made from scratch, a ridiculously wide selection of teas from Mark T. Wendell Tea Company (America's oldest tea house), and everything presented so beautifully. From the food and tea to the gorgeous presentation and impeccable service, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. And seriously, the people at the bakery were SO nice. The lady who took my reservation was really friendly, patient with all my questions, and helpful. Once we arrived, everyone we interacted with was really sweet and made us feel welcome. If you're looking for a whimsical afternoon tea where the food actually tastes as good as it looks, this place is an absolute gem. Also, come hungry. My friend and I skipped breakfast and came around lunch time and we still EACH left with two boxes full of leftovers. They are very generous with the food. One more thing - the afternoon tea is not a one-size-fits-all. You get to pick from a bunch of choices what you want to eat, and what tea you want to drink. They also cater to most dietary restrictions (Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and Nut-Free) as long as you let them know in advance. By that, I do not mean that they prepare the sandwiches and simply remove the meat if you're a vegetarian like me. I had my very own sandwiches, and they were delicious. And last but not least, you can also the order to go if you'd rather host an afternoon tea at home (but, let's face it, it's more fun on site, and they have all the pretty dishes and whatnot!) There was a sugar cookie, oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, M&M, and several others. I started by pinching off a little piece of one, then another, and then another. Before long I felt like such a little piggy because I had sampled nearly every cookie in the box. The problem was that every time I tried a new one, it was just as good, if not better, than the one before it. I kept thinking I had found my favorite, only to change my mind with the next bite. And these cookies were BIG hoggers too, probably around 6 inches across. These are not little dainty cookies you mindlessly nibble on. They have some size to them, and thankfully the flavor matches. So while I can't review the bakery itself, the atmosphere, or the service just yet, I can absolutely review the cookies. Based on those alone, Rise Up Bakery has definitely gotten my attention. Four stars for now, and mostly because I feel like I need to actually visit the bakery before handing over the fifth.

I know them for their cakes being light, airy and beautifully decorated. Most especially for the season or holiday. I recently tried their strawberry soft cake and it really retained the strawberry flavor. The texture was soft and most certainly airy while not being overly sweet. It made a great pair with coffee.
