We visited Pied Piper Pie Shop in Gilbert for the first time today, and it turned into one of the best bakery experiences we've ever had. The young lady working the counter was exceptional -- truly the reason we walked out with multiple items instead of just one. Friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, she walked us through their pie return premium, review premium, and rewards program, all of which we were happy to join. So far, I've only tried the blueberry pie, and it is easily the best blueberry pie I've ever had. Perfect balance, incredible flavor, and a crust that's spot‑on. If the rest of their pies are anything like this one, we're in for a treat with every visit. We signed up for the rewards program on the spot and will definitely be putting it to good use -- because we'll be returning often. We've been here a couple of times and the pies are good. The people who own the shop are friendly and nice. The pies are fresh and it is nice to be able to buy slices (people in our family have trouble agreeing on food) when you can't agree, or just want a little pie. The Mt. Graham Eclair is probably my favorite sweet pie: layers of homemade vanilla mousse, graham cracker crumbs, topped with melted chocolate ganache. The banoffee is also quite good (I like bananas), as are the peanut butter brownie and chocolate cream. I have not had many of the fruit pies yet, so I can't really comment on those. Apparently they also have savory pies like chicken pot pie and shepherd's pie with beef), but I have not tried those yet either. You may have to order those in advance -- I am not sure since we usually get slices and I have never seen savory pie slices in the cold cases. read more

After seeing a feature about Pied Piper Bakery on TV, we knew we had to check it out for ourselves--and we're glad we did! I have never seen so many varieties of pies all in one place. If you love pie, this is definitely the place to visit. They seem to have every flavor you could imagine, and they also offer cookies and cheesecakes for anyone looking for something different. The hardest part of the visit was narrowing it down to just four slices! This is definitely a grab-and-go bakery. There isn't any seating if you're hoping to stay and enjoy your dessert there. Parking was easy, making it convenient to pop in and out. We brought home four slices to sample: Mint Brownie, Key Lime, Peanut Butter, and Lemon Meringue. Every one of them was delicious, but the Key Lime was our favorite. It had the perfect balance of tart and sweet with a smooth, creamy filling that kept us coming back for another bite. Cleveland took great care of us. He was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer our questions while helping us make our selections. With so many flavors still left to try, we'll definitely be back to work our way through more of their incredible pie selection! read more

Noticed this when going to my eye appointment. Inside it is very clean with a fridge as soon as you walk in with delicious cheesecakes. I'm a huge fan of cheesecake and key lime pie so got a slice of key lime cheesecake. So rich but so yummy!! The owner says everything is made by scratch and it shows. Definitely worth stopping by. This place will now be a place to satisfy my pie cravings! They also have cookies as well. Next time I stop in I will have to try those as well! read more

Wow, all I can say is wow. We were out looking for some dessert- in the desert, and we're actually hoping to find a local Mexican bakery or Something, Quick, and affordable. We pulled up yelp and found this pie spot Not too far away from a wing spot We were trying out, so we figured why not!? Man, sometimes yelp delivers, and sometimes it is like hitting the lottery! And this was one of those times. This is a really small spot in a strip mall that has a bunch of random stuff that you would likely not associate with Gourmet level pies, but you will after you visit this spot. They have pies by the slice, which they notably don't make blatantly clear in their yelp listings, so hopefully when you read this review You get that point immediately. They also obviously sell whole pies, but I could probably Visit this spot daily and average two slices of pie per visit, and still not be satisfied. When I say, this is next level pie, believe me! The owner came out from behind and greeted us, but the young lady covering the front counter, was more than capable of walking us through all of the various options. We ended up walking away with four or five slices, and will probably be returning to grab a couple of whole pies soon. read more

If you need any kind of pie, you MUST go to Pied Piper Bakery!! This place is awesome!! They have both sweet and savory pies to satisfy any craving. I like that they also offer small pies and slices. If you're a single person and you have a craving for pie, fear bot because these guys have you covered! The interior is very inviting with pink everything. They had pies stacked on tables the week before Thanksgiving. Their pricing is very fair, and the service is wonderful. Friendly and knowledgeable employees will always have me coming back. Been wanting to try Pied Piper after seeing the rave reviews and with it being close to home we decided to stop by. Looking for a place with amazing pies so we can order for Thanksgiving. We were so excited to try, we ate the pies in the car! Wife got the apple crumble which was pretty much a Dutch apple pie and it was amazing. Not super sweet, just perfect and gooey and had a delicious crumble topping. I opted for the peanut butter brownie pie. I'm a huge fan of peanut butter pie, but not the world's biggest brownie fan, but let me tell you this pie was amazing! The peanut butter filling had the perfect texture, almost like a pudding, but better, hard to describe. The brownie crust was perfectly moist, but not gooey and was the perfect texture and chocolate contrast to the peanut butter pie filling. Generous portions and super delicious pies. Definitely putting in an order for our thanksgiving pies. Want to try more of what's on their menu, and especially the savory pies! read more

100x yes! I love some pie, so this is was a welcomed addition to the East Valley in my eyes, and I am sure soon to be to many others once they visit! We stopped in and the shop was adorable, very bright, clean and had that classic bakery pink color. They had three or so large fridge's up front with most of their pie options, in whole pie form or by the slice! There was a little description and photo for each, making it very easy to peruse all the options. They also had a few pies in the front case/main counter of the shop. The banoffee pie was speaking to us, which consists a graham cracker base, with banana pudding, layered with caramel, dark chocolate and whipped cream. I often get this dessert at one of my favorite restaurants in the valley, so I was eager to find a spot who offered it nearby and by the slice or whole pie nonetheless! It was hard to decide as they had so many delicious options, from classic fruit pies, options to add a crumble, cheesecakes, cream pies, savory pies, breakfast pies, pot pies, the list really goes on!At the time of this review, most full pies are $29 dollars with slices at $6, not including savory options. They did not have a ready to go banoffee pie the fridge, but the gentlemen - one of the owners, it's a husband and wife duo, he says she is the mastermind - promptly greeted us and said if we had a few minutes they could get one put together in back for us. Easy and in about five minutes we had our pie in hand! The pie.... was delicious! Truly hit the spot and three of us ate it for dessert every night for three nights, so we got about nine servings out of it. After the first day, it fell a tiny bit, but not a surprise with the moisture in the bananas and common for this type of pie. I definitely would recommend eating this specific pie within a few days, but each day was equally enjoyable even if it did not look as beautiful as the first! The crust was buttery, the whipped cream held the entire time and I would absolutely return for this pie alone, but definitely want to try some of their other flavors. I would love to see a pie flight! Already thinking of the next one I am going to try! read more

My sister let me know about this great new bakery. We stopped by for slices on a Friday night and love that they stay open until ten p.m. on the weekend. (Closed Sundays.) We chatted with the owners and they are so friendly and nice. They're really excited about this venture, invested in what they're doing - and it shows. After trying the samples they offered (I sampled raspberry cheesecake- delicious!) it was time to choose from the many types of slices available. Tough to choose just one... My husband and I agreed to split two slices: Triple Berry Crumble and Mt. Graham Eclair. The crust on the berry was great. So tender! The filling was a bit tart for my liking but the crumble topping was good. I was wary of ordering the Mt. Graham (vanilla custard, whipped cream, chocolate ganache, graham crust) because that's not my type of pie at all. But I LOVED it! It was so, so delicious. I was sorry I was splitting it, lol. By giving my phone number I'm now a part of the loyalty program - your basic virtual punch card. I'll have a $5 reward waiting for me next visit. I guess that means I'll have to go try some more slices. (I don't think my family will complain!) read more

I have been here twice since the opening day and I will most definitely keep coming back for more. I've been able to try out a slice of the banana cream , apple, a strawberry one, and a peach. They all tasted fresh and were yummy. The owner has helped us both times and he is sooooo friendly. I cant wait to be back again to try out the chicken pot pies! There's a new bakery in town, and it's a great location right off the 60 and by where we live (lol!) They recently just had their soft opening on Saturday, and I was excited to go. It seemed like they are still trying to get their footing, but the owner and her husband were incredibly welcoming! They have fridges in the front for their pies, and I'm sure in the coming months will be stocked. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a lot of options and it was between either a Strawberry cheesecake, banofee pie, apple pie, or cookies. Still, it was nice to see it and I do hope more treats will be available for us to try! I did get a slice of the strawberry cheesecake, which was very good - but not as tangy, and did not have enough crust for my liking. It was still good overall and had lots of juicy strawberries on top! I would absolutely recommend calling ahead if you are looking for a particular pie just to make sure they can bake ahead for you! read more

I had a slice of the rhubarb pie. It was delicious, tart & tangy, my kind of pie. Loved the crust, loved the filling. Tastes like the homemade rhubarb pie I had in childhood. They also offer strawberry-rhubarb, my sister had that & I tasted it. It was great too if you want something a bit sweeter & not as tart/tangy. I asked for a side of whipped cream. It was luscious, thick & creamy- exceptional. Like Devonshire cream. The side is large and enough to top on 3-4 slice slices. I'm addicted. read more

There are so many great pies to choose from. I took photos of each one so that I could spread the word about the wonderful offerings that are here. I ended up trying the candy bar, cheesecake and the banoffee flavors. Both of them are absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to try more. I also love that this place is owned and ran by a husband and wife team. They are very nice and the ambience and feel of their business and the cute pink boxes for the pies are just an added bonus. As good as any pie I've ever had whether we're talking Key West, a pie shop, or a fine dining restaurant. My husband and I both prefer pie over any other dessert, so we felt lucky to have a new shop open up just a mile away from home! For our first time, we tried three different slices (apple/coconut cream/lemon meringue) and a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was DELICIOUS!!! Hands down my favorite chocolate chip cookie from anywhere, and I consider myself a connoisseur. My favorite part about the pie was actually the crust. Too often, it's flaky and dry and sticks to the back of your throat. This one was perfectly balanced and didn't detract from the filling. I also received great service from the gal who rang me up; we chatted for a while and I never felt rushed out the door. We are sure to be repeat customers! read more

What a darling little shop! Pi day caught me unprepared so we decided to try out this place. Huge selection of tasty pies by the slice. We selected a whole triple berry pie - delicious!!. At the checkout, I inquired about the shepherds pie (ingredients etc) and she quickly grabbed one to show me - yeah, we got that, too! It's frozen and has clear instructions for how to cook it. Let me preface by mentioning that I have left 5 star reviews for this company and they deserve it. Almost every pie I have tried have been amazing with only a couple of misses. I have not posted the few that weren't great, because I love this place. That being said, I purchased a lemon meringue and pecan pie slice tonight. The lemon was missing a good portion of the meringue topping, but was so good I could ignore. The pecan however, was such a mess that it actually made me angry. First of all there was Literally NO crust on the bottom of the pie. There was a small amount at the back, The pecan mixture was so thick and sticky, it was more like pecan candy. In parts, it was so over cooked I could not separate with a fork. I feel like I paid for a carton of poorly made pecan pie filling. I hope this was an unusual fail for this pie, so I changed my review to only 4 stars ( I started this with 2, but everyone can have a bad day, lol) I still love you though! read more
