We had this place recommended to us by relatives so when we were in town we figured we had to try it! As soon as we got there, the line was very long and we could tell it was a local favorite. They had sandwiches and things, but we only got ice cream. We tried the blue raspberry slush, the mango ice cream scoop, the fluffernutter sundae, the strawberry shortcake sundae, and the chocolate sundae. The mango was by far the best! The sundaes were fine but maybe a little too much going on with them for our preferences. They seemed a bit under staffed but I think they were doing their best with what they had! read more

Ice cream and shake came out so quickly! Strawberry short cake was vanilla ice cream layered with strawberries and shortcake and whipped cream, very yummy. Banana shake was delicious. Wow! Try the Nut Classic; a sundae as old as time itself --that's why it's a classic! Try the footlong dog grilled. I like kraut (good fer digestion) & mustard & onions. Damn....it's legit with a grilled bun too & ample mounds (yes, plural on mound!) of kraut! Fries are hot & delicious. Owners & staff are kind, courteous, & their pride shows in the food they serve. This is a must stop on the way home from Cedar Point if you live in The Land. Easy access from Rt2 and plenty of room to spread out when you get here + a large lawn for letting the kids run around a bit! read more

Good place for ice cream. It often is a popular hangout in Huron. Pied Piper has been around a long time. Lots of cold treats and greasy hot food. This is good after the beach to cool off. After visiting Nickel Plate Beach we went here. It has an old school look. This has a big window. Order at the front after waiting in line. There of course is lines but it wasn't busy the last time. Even when it was hot. You get lucky here some times. It has a good selection of ice cream. They even have Dole Whip. It's about $3 for a medium cup. They give you a generous amount for it. It always is a highlight when visiting here. So much good stuff to get and there's big portions. They also have artery clogging burgers and hot stuff. read more

The staff here had masks and there were markings on the ground to designate spacing before getting to the walk up window. I got their pineapple dole whip which was very good! The Pied Piper has been around for years and serves up many delicious treats each summer. They have good signage up regarding social distancing and are trying their best to make customers follow best practices. You can expect to get your typical treats such as chocolate or vanilla soft serve, orange sherbet, Dole Whip, blizzards, etc. Each week they feature a different dip for your cone. This week they featured their new blue dip. I'm not as adventurous as others, so that was not on my list to try! We just moved into Huron, and after trying this place, we don't get how it has so many 4 and 5 stars. The soft serve ice cream is thin, watery, and flavorless; the portions are small; the service is slow; and the workers aren't very nice. I've had better soft serve at literally every other ice cream place I've ever visited in my entire life, from all around the country. This was the wackiest lil joint in the nowhere of Cleveland. My milkshake couldnt compete with theirs in the yard, that's for sure! They call soda Pop, and they knock out some greasy food that should be served for anyone's hangover.
