I was skeptical of a strip mall ice cream spot, but their selection and portion sizes won me over. I appreciate the free samples they offered so I could make the right decision. Since it was a weekday at lunch, there wasn't a ton of traffic. Over the weekend or more popular times, I'd assume it could get a little congested. Three of us had the $38 seafood fettuccine many of the muscle shells were broken causing the dish to have sharp pieces throughout that needed picked out before we could eat it. The fettuccine was also very stiff and sticky. Our server seemed extremely busy, which we completely understand, but I asked for a water refill when the food arrived that never came and went nearly an hour without anything to drink. He also wasn't able to return to check on our meals. With a restaurant as established as this one, we were surprised there wasn't additional support for the server with things like water refills and table checks. The final frustration was learning only at checkout that our group could not have separate checks. We had seven couples and specifically indicated who was together while ordering, so we naturally assumed the orders were being separated. Our bill was around $1,200, with couples spending anywhere from approximately $90 to $250, so simply dividing the total among several cards wasn't a practical solution. Had we been told about the policy before ordering, we absolutely could have planned accordingly. We understand that separating a large check after the fact can be difficult, but since the policy wasn't communicated to us beforehand, we felt the right thing to do would have been to make an exception rather than leaving our group to sort out the bill at the end of the evening.
