This ice cream place is a go to every time I go to Sandusky. I used to take my daughter when she was little and now, I take my grandbabies. One of my favorite things to get there is a Cobbs cooler. It's a slushy with ice cream dropped into it like a float. The best of both worlds! The food is good in general. Not a lot of difference between food found at other ice cream places. I spotted this as we were driving by. Cobb's is a local favorite. This is still close enough for Cedar Point and Lake Erie visitors. Of course the attraction is the ice cream. You can also get a hot meal. Highly recommended to get the ice cream. It's way better than any of the hot food. Oh, and they have Dole Whip. Awesome stuff. They have rotating flavors, and the last time it was strawberry. It's $2.75 for the medium cup. This is a good size. I thought the worst thing was the area. I was driving past this place one day and I saw a sign in their window that they had pineapple and strawberry Dole Whip! If you're not familiar with a Dole Whip it's a Disney World/Land must have treat! I made a mental note to myself to stop back again one day this summer. Well today was the day and I must say I wasn't disappointed. The service was very fast and friendly, the outside seating area was clean, The drive-through was packed and customer kept coming to the window continuously. I got my Pineapple Dole Whip and a pup cup for my dog. My Pineapple Dole Whip was amazing and brought back memories from our Disney trip and I had a little lick of my dogs ice cream as well just to sample it. (Before she did) lol both were good. I love supporting local businesses. Last night I went to cobbs icecream in sandusky ohio and ask specificly banana split with no nuts and I got home to bit into my icecream low and behold nuts in my icecream and I ended up have a server allergic reaction. Luckly I know what to do when I have one but my lips swell up and my tounge. When I called the Manger back today because no one answer lastnight she said nothing they can do u had to bring it back lastnight and hung up on me. Didn't even care her worker basically almost killed me. No I'm sorry or anything. I will never give my busness to them agian. That manager we rude and didn't even care about her customers. Please let your family and friend know go check there icecream b4 eatting it even if u order no nuts because they don't seem to care there I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

The ice cream is pretty delicious here and inexpensive! We had a Reese's flurry and milkshake for $6! The neighborhood is a little depressing and desolate and the high school students who work there could use a lesson in customer service and/or plain old social skills. This was a really cute ice cream stand, however the area is not so great. I walked there with a friend from Mr. Smith's Coffee (about 1 mile away) and we had a lot of unpleasantness on our walk. Rookie mistake on our end walking around a place we weren't familiar! Either way, we each had soft serve cones with sprinkles and a couple of bottles of water. Nice and refreshing on a summer day, for sure! Just consider driving there instead. read more

Waited for 3 minutes for the kid behind the counter to help us while he just kept on ignoring us while looking at us from the corner of his eyes. Finally, Comes up to us and says "we're closed". Keep in mind, they have their hours listed online as closing at 10pm. The clock inside the shop directly behind him says 8:55 and so I asked what time they close and he tells me 9...so I of course point out it's not even 9 yet. He tells me that they don't go by that clock (even though it's correct) they go "by the one on the microwave". So after several minutes of plain ignoring us, we are refused service because some kids closed up shop early so they could go home and play video games I presume. Let me just say this place has good ice cream but HORRIBLE customer service! I've pulled up through the drive thru twice and not once did the girl at the window greet me with a smile, a hello, a welcome, nothing. On top of that she looks like she's being forced to work there...this girl is not a happy camper (or ice cream server). I ordered my food and paid. Again, no real personality during the exchange. I did received the food I ordered pretty promptly. When she handed it through the window she didn't say a word, no "here you go," "enjoy your food," nothing!!! I'm assuming based on her BW t-shirt she was wearing she's in college. I hope she's not planning a career that involves human interaction. A+ for the food F- for the service read more
