This is an old-fashioned side of the road ice cream stand that has whatever you could dream of - hard ice cream and soft serve and so many food items from hotdogs to walking tacos to shredded chicken sandwiches to fried mushrooms and so much more. I personally am a soft serve girl and there are very few flavor combinations in this world that I love more than peanut butter and chocolate. On this my most recent trip this summer, I had the Nutter Butter sundae. The Nutter Butter sundae is Chocolate ice cream topped with peanut butter fluff, peanuts, whipped cream, a cherry and a Nutter Butter cookie. I'm sure you can tell by the description that this was a sugar overload, but delicious. I also got a pup cup for my pup, which is a small bit of vanilla ice cream with a dog treat on top. The ice cream was delicious and we had really good service my only gripe is the prices are a bit high. I paid $2.50 for a dog cup of ice cream - I just remember when that used to be like $.50 but I guess that's inflation for you. Overall, this is a great place with good ice cream and a nostalgic feel.

We decided to give it a shot and were pleased with our choice. Scooter's offers a wide variety of ice cream in both dairy and non-dairy varieties (contrary to the dairy bar name) for incredibly reasonable prices. The serving sizes were generous and the staff was super friendly. The parking situation isn't the greatest; however, there is a large lot just across the street that you can stop in to run over and get your treats.
