My wife went here on our first day in Marblehead. She finished her entire ice cream before she made it back to our cabin. She also brought me back hot dogs and they were really really good. We want to come back to try the peach ice cream sundae. read more

Best chili dogs, great floats, yummiest is the orange twist ice cream with hot fudge sauce. Very busy but they do a terrific job moving many eager customers. A gem on Marblehead, just before the charming town. read more

This is a local institution! Locals all await opening day, and bragging rights go to the first person in the neighborhood to get there. Personally, I love the combination of orange sherbet with soft serve vanilla. It is a very refreshing treat on a warm summer day. Another great day each season is when local peaches become available. Browns offers a sundae that includes peaches from local orchards; it is a sad day when peach season ends. Don't let the line discourage you, the staff does a great job of processing orders promptly. read more

Old school ice cream place that always has a line -but that is how you know it is good. When the peaches are in - the sundaes there are so special. It is one of those places where you remember going as a kid, and so you take your own kids. Prices are so much cheaper than in Lakeside, and the novelty treats can't be found anywhere else. Keep in mind this review is for the class of reataurant provided. They deliver on their menu. Fresh fruit ice cream sundaes and simple sandwiches. We had three ice cream sundaes and a Coney Dog. The Sunday's were excellent. Just the right ratio of strawberries to ice cream and the Coney dog was perfect. The Chili was thick enough to stay on the dog for every bite. I would go back here time and time and time - week you get the point, don't miss this simple gem! read more

Love Browns Dairy Dock. I've been visiting this place every time I'm vacationing up here for 20 years now. Still tastes as good as it did back then! ... my dad loves their strawberry milk shakes as well as their chocolate vanilla twist cone. This little gem of an ice cream shop was the perfect end to our day! There are so many amazing choices! The hand dipped ice cream was DELICIOUS! It was thick and creamy and the flavors we tried were unique. To top it all off, the workers were so kind and stayed open a few minutes past close so we could order. It's hard not to love Brown's Dairy Dock. Although now closed for the season and opening in the spring with new owners, the tradition of the best strawberry sundaes and peach sundaes will continue. Not to mention the orange/vanilla creamsickle ice cream twist cones! This year because of covid they had a limited menu, and yet it was still delicious. Well marked and masked, long lines didn't seem so long and everyone seemed friendly. As a life long Marbleheader, I can't remember a time when Brown's wasn't wonderful. I look forward to it opening again late in the Spring to experience the new owners and of course, for the wonderful ice cream. read more

My family and I come here every time we visit the lake. I order a small sundae and am given a heaping cup of ice cream, almost as big as a pint. My mother got a small orange sherbet-vanilla swirl cone, and it's a half-foot in length. There's seating on both sides, some in the sun and plenty in the shade. Cheap as hell prices, huge portions, and good ice cream. Check it out yourself. read more

This is our go-to for ice cream in Marblehead. Try the orange-vanilla twist in a cup with only hot fudge on top. It is such a favorite I can't bring myself to try anything else on their menu. Dairy Dock is very popular in the evening but they always have enough staff to move things along. read more

Still the best! Their food and ice cream is simply YUM! Everything they serve is a great value. Their orange vanilla twist soft serve tastes like it was made in heaven Fresh peach sundaes, kids cones with "eyes" and sprinkles are a hit with my grand kids. Try the Italian sausage sandwich with sautéed peppers and onions. It's all good! read more

This is a favorite summertime place for us to go. Soft-serve ice cream is great. No indoor dining. Haven't tried the food yet but am told it's good too. Attendant was very nice to make me a jamocha shake even though it was not on the menu. Strawberry sundaes are my favorite. Strawberries are fresh therefore seasonal. read more

Great roadside ice cream stand! Took me back to my childhood when my parents would stop at a place like this for a treat. As a kid, my favorite was a cone of chocolate ice cream dipped in cherry. That is hard to find these days, but this place has it! The staff even provided extra napkins and offered a cup to use if the drips became too messy. Prices are reasonable, and they have a big menu of both ice cream/frozen treats and other snacks. read more

By the end of our visit, we learned it was her mother and grandparents, who apparently visit the restaurant often. While there's nothing wrong with greeting family, it shouldn't come at the expense of every other table. Listening to conversations about coworkers and schoolwork while waiting for basic service was frustrating. We ended up leaving shortly after food arrived so we could find somewhere else to get water for our kids. There was also guests sitting behind us, making comments on the speed of our children eating because they wanted our table. It's unfortunate because this was our first visit to the area, and the poor service left a lasting negative impression. I hope management addresses this, as attentive service is a big part of the dining experience And their reputation will tank at this server's inability to provide quality service.
