THATS when they have their version of "trivia night" but it's just some out of touch and out of date old DJ who SCREAMS incredibly inappropriate questions that will make you lose you appetite and ruin your meal. As a New Yorker, this place is a disgrace to all of man kind. If I was an Italian and ate this, I would never come back to this filthy country and filthy pizzeria. With a name like Piecasso, how can you not be suspicious? My wife and I like to travel up to this area to ski and hike, and inevitably we get the itch for pizza. When we first started going to Stowe, it wasn't considered much of a food destination, and even today you have to be selective and really hunt for what you're looking for. So, it was with a bit of hesitation we first visited. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised! The pizza here is good by any standard. They have a great selection of drinks, well made cocktails and a super-fun atmosphere that can only be described as retro-unhinged arcade bar. They pull off a weird but compelling intersection of good food, family friendly but also some place two childless adults can come to grab a bite and a drink after a long day hiking. Another thing going for it is that everything is extremely customizable. It's not just a "build your own pizza" situation, but every stage of the pizza can be changed, including the kinds of doughs, sauces, and toppings. As plant based eaters, we feel very comfortable and satisfied with the food, which can be tricky with pizza joints. Piecasso is on our must visit list every time we're in town. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered a beer before dinner at the bar. Paid with a $20 bill. $12 change and receipt was placed on bar with drink. A few minutes later the bartender came by and scooped up the $12 change and receipt without making eye contact. I was dumbfounded. Nice tip on $8 drink???? Wings after were okay. Visiting out of town, we stopped here solely based on the cute outer appearance. Once walking in though, we weren't greeted. The hostess was pretty unfriendly, but were seated within a couple of minutes. The prices are a bit steep and there wasn't a ton of variety, especially for those avoiding dairy. I created my own vegan pizza and it was very good. My friends' pizzas, thought, were less flavorful and didn't match what they ordered but the service was quick. Overall the experience was disappointing mostly due to the unfriendly staff. They seemed bothered by us and that dampened the whole experience. read more

I cannot say enough about this place. We go here every time we get to Stowe. Service is always excellent. Their beer and drink lists are extensive. Their pizzas are just so good. It is definitely worth going to Piecasso. You can't go wrong with any of their pizzas. We have tried several different ones. Due to long waits at other restaurants we ended up going to Piecasso two days in a row and so we decided to try something other than our usual of pizza . We ordered their antipasto board and some salads. I am usually disappointed because for the price you don't usually get a lot of food or you have to ask for extra bread etc. Not here! The choices were great - smoked duck( this was on their daily special -other times it can be a different ), some cured meats, some blue hazen blue cheese ( best blue cheese ever), home made jam, olives and other stuff. It changes all the time but you get the idea. Dare I confess that we returned a few days later to get the antipasto board again? It's been forever since we've had a fun experience and Kelby, the bartender, went above and beyond for us starting with incredible drink recommendations (BOMB blackberry Sage mule and "on the wings of bees" and ending with the best espresso martinis (we're convinced were made with love) matched with the tiramisu, it's a must. We spotted a regular and ordered the wings they were eating and that was a POWER MOVE. The dry rub and buffalo wings are killer. We had the best chats about skiing, exchanged good stories and lots of laughs. You can tell by the upbeat attitude from all of the staff that it's an all around good place to be. We were looking for something pretty basic, pizza. Not just pizza, just a plain cheese pizza. Sometimes old school and simple can really tell you a lot about a restaurants recipes. We ended up picking Piecassos and ordered a plain cheese pizza, garlic knots, a kids pasta (because I had a hankering for pasta) and a peanut butter pie. When I went to pick up the food after ordering it online I felt so bad for the staff. You could tell they were clearly understaffed and their food was in high demand. They handled the pressure as well as they could, I commend them! I bugged them for a side of Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes and they had some to go packets filled which I loved. Very convenient. The pizza was pretty good! Good balance of sauce to cheese. I imagine if it was fresh at the restaurant it would've been EVER better, but the 15 min drive back does take some of that ooey gooey cheesiness away. My pasta was ok, very basic but its kids pasta, I wasn't looking for anything ground breaking. It did its job. The star here are the garlic knots. They were so well baked with such good garlic and Italian seasoning flavor, ugh I wish we ordered more! The marinara dipping sauce was a great accompaniment. I would recommend these to anyone who orders food from here. Add the garlic knots, you wont be disappointed. The peanut butter pie was the only miss for us. It was a small slice and VERY peanut buttery. There is a little chocolate on the top that helps with the flavor but there needed to be much more. Plus the crust at the bottom was either very crumbly or VERY hard. I would adjust the recipe on this (if they make it in house) to add more chocolate and adjust the crust. We had heard wonderful things about this place from our hotel as well as a charming local at one of the gift shops. We were starving when we arrived and we were seated immediately. One of my favorite places to eat in Stowe. There's no frills and no fuss here. Known for their pizza of course but the rest of the menu is equally as tasty! Being that Stowe has a small town feel there aren't all that many places to dine, but Piecasso is at the top of my list whenever I visit. Whether its lunch, apres ski, dinner or drinks Piecasso checks all of the boxes for me! PARKING: There is a private parking lot however keep in mind its often covered in snow and ice during the winter months. SERVICE: I like to take a seat right at the large open bar area. The bartender was very attentive and took our pie orders as well. There are a lot of local beers on tap that you have to try just look at the chalkboard. I'm a van of the Von Trapp Vienna. ATMOSPHERE: Colorful, cheery and a little bit artsy. Just how Picasso would have liked it I suppose! FOOD: We had the twice fried wings SOO GOOD! and a small Margarita Pizza which was plenty for 2 people. Overall, I would come here all the time if I lived closer by! Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. Hands down my favorite pizza around, if not anywhere. I always order a meatball, breaded eggplant with ricotta cheese pizza (with red sauce) and it blows my mind every time. Also, the homemade ranch is the best ranch ever. Not to be missed! I don't know how they do it, but probably the reason they are one of my favorite pizzas is I never leave feeling grossly full. You know how sometimes you eat four slices of pizza and are immediately like "oh gosh I'm going to regret this"? Or just like "wow I'm a fat pig who has no self control"? Well not here. Thin crust - yes, but it needed to have cooked a bit more because there was no bite or crunch at all, just a bit chewy. The sauce was somewhat tasteless and too sweet for me and the pepperoni and cheese were the same, somewhat tasteless and for sure, all the toppings - sauce, cheese, and pepperoni were provided at bare minimum levels and about what you'd get on a Red Baron frozen pizza from Safeway. Our server was on par with the other servers we've encountered here in Stowe. Average at best, uncaring, and a bit snobby. She forgot my wife's drink and we had to ask for it and refills. I almost forgot, the garlic knots were par for the course, chewy, tasteless, and not a hint of garlic or salt to be found anywhere in the dish. Prior to arriving, based upon the Yelp reviews, I had made reservations here for our second night in Stowe too but after the lousy service and average at best pie, I cancelled the second reservation before finishing my meal. read more

The slice (Big Kahuna) was pretty good, and the salad was delicious however the portion was small for the price.
