We stopped in because it smelled good from the outside, we were nearby picking up coffees on our way to a hike. Mike was super friendly, asked us our names and where we were from (visiting from Georgia and Ohio). We were looking for a spot for lunch and decided to give Pizza on Main a try after spying it online. They offer a wide variety of slices with some deluxe combinations as well as a build your own option with all the typical options. Walk in and order at the counter and grab a seat. Our cheeses/sausage/green pepper arrived steaming hot in about 15 minutes and had a nice crispy crust. Flavor-wise I found it a bit bland but luckily they offer shakers of oregano, garlic powder, chili flakes and (on request) Parmesan cheese so I was able to jazz it up a bit. Since we were in the heart of cheese country, I expected something better than the flavorless cheese on top. In fairness perhaps we would have been better off ordering one of the many gourmet slices that they offer that just have to be rewarded. Our small pizza ($16) has about 8 slices and was more than the two of us could finish. Decent but our pie was nothing special. read more

Very good food! We were in the area for lunch since we visited Lake Elmore and decided to grab lunch from Pizza on Main. Everything we got was very good. We had 3 orders of wings, one order of chicken tenders and one small plain pie. Buffalo wings were great. Maple BBQ wings were very good. Honey Sirachi wings were very good but too sweet for my taste. Was hoping it would have had more kick, but all orders were perfectly cooked and fresh. My 9 year old really likes her chicken tenders and fries. The pizza was quite good but not the star of the meal. Definitely, the wings took the first prize ribbon. I started out going to another pizza place and when they said that It would take "1 1/2 hrs and would that be ok" I said absolutely no! Someone recommended Pizza on Main and even though it w 20 minutes away it was quicker than waiting for the other place. We placed the order, asked for it to be crispy and out it came. Perfect crust, good sauce and enough cheese. We ate and were served graciously from the staff who were attentive and polite. Packed up the remaining 2 slices and drove home happy and content. we drove passed the first place and laughed because if we had waited we still wouldn't have had our pizza. This place is pretty great considering it's in the middle of nowhere but right next to Stowe. If you feel like wandering outside stowe village they have plenty of retro style seating and an open pizza kitchen. Lots of choices for by the slice pizza, Stromboli, and you can order your own as well. We had a heady topper and a citizen cider I think the prices here are a good deal. We came here on a little roadtrip today after a long, long work weekend. We ordered mozz sticks and a pepperoni pizza. Both were really good, but I found because we ordered extra cheese, the pizza was a little greasy and difficult to handle in the usual pizza eating manner! It was not a issue tho and we managed. Next time we will remember no extra cheese! They have a good selection of drinks, I got a bottle of watermelon lemonade and my hubby got a sunkist. Service was on point and friendly. While the pizza is good they seem to have problems with really busy times. We ordered on Friday night via the web at 5:30 and were given a 6:45 pick up time. Didn't receive it until 7:15 and saw people walk in, order and get their orders before mine. A stressed front person rudely mimicked my body language and then when the order was finally ready, shoved it into my hands and told me it would be "comp-ed" but no credit ever showed up on our credit card. As with all things in this post-covid world, not enough skilled labor and youngsters who don't know how to treat customers. read more
