    Watery pie box

My wife had ordered a lemon meringue pie from Pie Snob for my birthday as she knows it's my favorite type of pie. The pie was picked up late Sunday a.m. and placed in a refrigerator until we served it Sunday evening after dinner. While the pie had good flavor when we opened the box to serve it there was about 2 cups of liquid in the bottom of the pie box that had leached out from the pie. The lemon custard filling was also super watery and did not hold together at all. Very unappetizing texture. As a result most of our guests did not eat the pie. We reached out the next day to inquire what happened and were basically told that since they don't use preservatives that this was a "normal" occurrence. We felt totally blown off by Pie Snob. I wouldn't order this pie again from them and wouldn't recommend anyone else order this pie from Pie Snob.

So I'm a snob! I love a good pie. My guard has been let down ever since I gave the Pie ATM a try. Thats right I went for a nice neighborhood stroll to burn calories only to be temped by a machine with a variety of pie slices. That is how I feel in love. Now I swing by for a slice here and there. My mother is a fan of their mini Lemon Meringue Pie. I like the Apple Crumb Topping. Whole pies and pie slices for sale by friendly service staff. They also have gelato which I haven't tried yet but plan to make a trip. Pointers: Price point very reasonable, quality of pie "mighty fresh and tasty." Parking at this location is perfect even some designated pie parking spots. Not a dining atmosphere more of run in and run out type of ambiance but definitely one sweet place to visit.

First time to this location. Pie Snob has best pies hands down. Came in to preorder pies for July 4th and had to grab couple slices to devour now. Very dangerous if you're on a diet! We tried their peach pie and turtle cheesecake. Both were amazing! Looking forward to picking up our order in few days. Highly highly recommend!!

Ok it's been over a year since I went to the location on Indian School Road. The old people foodie crew went after lunch Saturday. To the 16th street location, yup it's still food crack. Those flipping pies, OMG. My top pie Caramel Apple. But I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. My friends are still talking about it. One is like I gotta forget where it is I'm addicted. Why did you all take me there. If they are closed you can get your fix from the pie vending machine. Genius. FLUFFY GRANDMA RECOMMENDS

Did an online order for pickup at this location and it was smooth. Staff was friendly. Ordered the Bourbon Pecan and we loved it! Order ahead on their website, otherwise they sell out fast. Lot of flavors to choose from! I always go with them for all my pie needs. Local, and great.

This place is suppose to be one of the best pie places in AZ and we had order a couple pies for thanksgiving, what a bust, pies were old, hard, stale and just simply down right terrible. Unfortunately some places start off good but lose their mojo and this is one of those places. Nothing better than good old Marie Calendars pies, my suggestion is to pass on this place

I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. This place was great. Walked in and welcomed by the nicest staff ever. She was so helpful and fun we were glad we met. I usually ask names but to the staff wearing the I wanna rock and roll and eat pie all night way to go kid, well done making us believers in Pie Snob. Also if that is your work shirt, which I'm thinking it is post writing that, I hope you know we're talking about you! SBL and I both got cheesecake slices just different sizes. Let me tell you it was a 9.5 on the it's so good it's stupid meter! We were soooo glad we came here. It was an excellent experience. The store was thoughtfully decorated and created a getaway ambiance. We will definitely return.

Ordering inside during business hours is a great idea but I would avoid the pie atm. Twice in the last few months we've stopped to pick up a sweet treat and have gotten slices with mold. Thankfully they have refunded us, but I no longer trust anything but fresh pie from the case. Cute idea, but not well executed anymore.

Gotta love the 24 hour pie atm machine

Okay it's time for pie. After some pizza pie. We were craving something sweet, so we found pie snob. They have many cool pie combos like coconut lime blueberry, an amazing chocolate pie, a caramel smothered apple pie, and many other creative iterations of pie. The coolest thing is the have a pie ATM vending machine out front of the store that is open 24/7. For all of you pie addicts out there. Service is cheerful and friendly and the ambiance is kinda kitchy and homey.

Delicious pies! My favorite is the chocolate cream pie. I've also tried the dark chocolate but I felt that was too rich for me. I haven't tried the key lime pie even though that's my overall favorite pie so I need to go back. They have weekly specials as well. Overall this is a great choice for special occasions or gatherings.

They have a 24 hour PIE ATM!!! What?!! Amazing! Lol

In our day's Sunnyslope business, our niece took us to Kris Frybread. Arriving we saw Dawn's. She said Dawn's gets high ratings too. After our excellent Kris meal I made my way to Dawn's. I am infamous in the family for my dessert rxtravagance. But I share with all at our table. Take your choice! Our niece got cannoli, I got lidded shortbread custard cups, vanilla and almond. Sweet D got a cherry and an apple turnover delivered into the box. It is five days later. My sugar intake has dropped a lot. In our home baking we cut sugar ingredients by half. Older Hopi bakers put in enough sugar for a hint of sweet in their cookies. Modern bakers glaze them. I'll take those traditional ones. When I say the shortbread cup with custard was too sweet for me, that's my 21st century palate speaking. The almond cup was a buy-again item for me, still sweet, very almond. The cherry turnover was flaky, the filling tart, oozing fillng and cherries. The gold medal, blue ribbon "I'd buy this again, for sure is the apple turnover. We will return for some more flaky, apple-y goodness. The webpage makes mymouth water. I see many items are normal and mini sized. Great idea Dawn.

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

We've worked our way through what feels like almost the entire dessert case over the years, and I can honestly say I've yet to find something I didn't love. Every pastry is beautifully crafted, incredibly fresh, and tastes like it was made with so much care. This visit was all about the cannoli, and let me just say... craving officially satisfied! The shell had that perfect crisp snap, while the filling was silky, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. It was everything I had been dreaming about and then some. Walking into The Sicilian Baker always feels like stepping into a little slice of Italy. Between the gorgeous display of desserts and the irresistible aroma of fresh pastries, it's nearly impossible to leave with just one treat (don't say I didn't warn you! ). Whether you're stopping in for a post-dinner dessert, celebrating something special, or simply giving in to a sweet tooth like I did, this place is absolutely worth the visit. Every dessert we've tried has been phenomenal, and this cannoli was another delicious reminder of why we keep coming back. Sweet craving? Check. Happiness? Double check.

There were also a number of employees working behind the registers helping customers. I walked around and looked at the self-serve section, the options behind the counter, and the menu. I decided to order a sourdough turkey melt. It came out nice and toasted and quite tasty. There was a wait until it was ready, but that was to be expected as it was weekend lunch-time.
