Me and my wife were visiting the Oakbrook Mall and decided to try Pie Five Pizza Co. It's similar to MOD PIZZA where they make your pizza from scratch and after that goes into their special ovens! The customer service is very friendly and didn't even charge for a last minute extra topping that we requested! It's located in the food court of Oakbrook mall so the ambiance is nothing too crazy - standard pizza shop look. Ordered from Pie Five Pizza for lunch today via Door Dash and was extremely pleased! I ordered the meat lovers pie on thin crust and added some of the tasty drizzle options (pesto and tomato). The crust's flavor took me back to the deliciousness of one of my local pizza spots that has now long been closed and I felt transported back to a happy place that I never thought I would experience again. Pie Five Pizza is a good casual fast food pizza place in the small food court in the Oak Brook mall. It's very similar to Blaze/Mod Pizza if you've ever had those restaurants- you customize your own personal size pizza with any toppings you want and they cook it in a pizza oven within 2 minutes and it's ready for you. They service was pretty quick with making the pizzas and there's a variety of toppings, but not nearly as much as Mod Pizza has. I'd recommend if you're feeling something quick in the mall food court. read more

Well, well. It's great place to visit in the restaurant area in the mall on the second or upper floor area. There are bunch of other stores that you visit as well. I like this place since you can pick out all of the toppings that you want. Don't be bashful to kindly ask for more vegetables or protein if you like it. Take your time to look at all of the ingredients behind the glass so you can be ready to order right away. The line wasn't that long and so I was able to order very quickly. The pizza runs through a super hot and yet, consistent oven temperature so your pizza cooks in about 5 minutes and well balanced cooked pizza. There is a lot to offer and so you need to carefully look at the menu. I believe they have a few of these stores downtown Chicago although a bit harder to find. Food court on the District has some new choices. We've tried the Greek kitchen and now tonight Pie Five. It was good. A perfect grab a bite place. I had the calzone dinner with Cesar salad and a drink. Took a piece of the calzone home. Kiddo had pizza with breadsticks and a drink. The breadsticks were the thing we least enjoyed. They were a bit oily and not as tasty as everything else. Kiddo had a personal pizza with with olives and pepperoni. He took a part of the pizza home. Both the main meals were really good. I love this place for their salads alone. It's located in the district inside the Oakbrook center mall. I like to mix it up between the chicken Caesar salad and the classic Italian salad. The ingredients are so fresh! Their entree salad size is plenty of salad for a meal and then some. The mozzarella on the classic Italian salad is my favorite! And the price is reasonable. I haven't tried their pizza yet but the smell is delicious and they even offer the cauliflower crust for those of us eating low carb! They also have dessert treats like chocolate chip cookie slices and this chocolate brownie slice which look decadent. read more

All I ordered was cheesy breadsticks. 10-15 minutes later I realized they somehow forgot my order so I said something. Tried this spot out around 11:30 on a Thursday and had high hopes. Im used to Blaze pizza and thought they were similar. I got regular sauce & crust and filled it up with veggies. I hate to compare restaurants to another but this reminds me of Blaze pizza, but with more crust options! We love that new little food court at Oakbrook Mall, mostly because of Stan's donuts and coffee, but also because of the cute variety of additional restaurants that have been added there that keep us coming back to try more. This time, we tried Pie Five Pizza, which is a sort of build-your-own custom pizza place that boasts a chipotle style line of toppings and cheeses, as well as allowing you to pick your own crust and sauce types. I was overwhelmed and went pretty classic, just sausage and pepperoni on a boring old thin crust. I also got a side ceasar salad. Both were fine and about on par with what I would expect from mall food court food. The little dine-in area is awkward and small, and at the time we ate there it was just us and employees sitting there. It faces out to a massive garage door, but it was pouring rain while we were there so it was closed. I would probably return if I was in the area, but there are a lot of other new restaurants to try over there, so it will be interesting to see who stays in that spot! read more
